Congratulations piglet xxxxxxxx
As for the 'it just happened' announcers, I think that is total BS as well. I learned many years ago never to say 'it'll be your turn next' or any of that crap because seriously the only person who knows the journey they are on is the person on it. I've more friends who now have babies that miscarried before finally sticking as well as friends who have had multiples misvarriages, multiple rounds of ivf - both with success and none. And I have friends who conceived first time and one who spent 8 weeks googling menopause symptoms (this lady is not stupid) and now has a one year old daughter. You simply never know. And friends who couldn't succeed with ivf now have two beautiful adopted boys who officially became theirs this week after a year.
That said, we do go to births at work where the mum had no idea she was pregnant (this is usually to young girls who know but don't tell anyone) and even for those who know, having the baby in the toilet is also quite common as they think they need to go and someone literally catches it.
Hubby just text to say he got a cuddle with a 3 week old at work today. He's totally broody now. He also asked me the other day if I wanted him to go get me a test so he's on board (I thought he would have forgotten). Af due tomorrow or the next day, I almost don't want to test and every time I go to the loo I'm dreading seeing af. I have a frer ready and I think I'm going to drive myselft insane the next couple of days. The jet lag has killed me so I'm sacking off today for uni work and having a sofa day
