Morning Everyone!
Happy Easter - I have a large, chunky white chocolate Thorntons egg chilling in the Fridge!! I've not had an Easter Egg in at least 2 years because I was slimming to get into my wedding dress. Now, our first Easter married I made sure I deffo had one!! haha
We have our 20 week scan on Friday, when i'll be nearer 22 weeks to be fair. Hoping they'll confirm that baby is a ickle boy and that the scan picture may give the game away - we still haven't told anyone, but if my mum makes me look at baby girl clothes once more I think I may crack haha. I did genuinely want a girl and my mum knows this so I think she's just humouring me. But, nature has decided that we're to have the 4th lad in a row for our family so be it! That said, it's making name choices very difficult, we've had 3 nephews in 2 years so that's 6 boys names gone. We've been trialling: Sidney, Harry and Issac (Zak) in the house lol.
This is going to make me sound like a complete cowbag but, the reason I wanted a girl was so that my hubby's family don't give me all their boy hand me downs. My mother in law can be a complete pain in one's rear end, she'll probably compare our child to my husband's sisters son, they struggle money wise so have had everything literally bought for them and a lot of it is 3rd/4th hand. My Husband and I have saved for the last year in preparation for this baby, so we have money to cover maternity leave and so that we can buy new items - not massively expensive ones - but new ones. His mum has already bought a heap of "gender neutral" clothes from carboots etc. In a years time I probably won't mind 2nd or 3rd/4th hand, but at the moment, I just want everything new and fresh for our ickle boy. That makes me sound ungrateful doesn't it? Obviously, I accept the stuff Mother in law gives us, but I don't really have any intention of using it.......
Hubbie is playing golf, even though it's raining badly. So I'm having a relaxing morning before a trip to the in laws for tea!!
