** September 2014 Mummies! **

thankyou kathy! i won't spam the thread with finished characters theyre on my journal though, good luck tomorrow how exciting!!

massive congratulations jt how amazing! xxx

Ooo I will pop over and have a look - I haven't really started thinking about decoration yet!! After tomorrow shopping and nursery preparation will start in earnest!

thankyou hun.
i've already got everything from previous pregnancy other than clothes now so nursery was kind of the next thing i thought about! eeeeek how exciting! i think pink.. xxxx

Beautiful pictures Nic, it must feel lovely to be getting things ready and you have the fun of getting some new team blue bits!
How are you finding keeping the gender secret? I have told DH we should keep it to ourselves though think he will be useless... It was hard enough keeping him quiet when we found out we were expecting

ah thankyou! yes it does. little tricky keeping it a secret, but i do think it would be harder if i hadnt posted on here that he's a little boy, and about the nursery etc - at least i can share my excitement of decorating and new buys, even if nobody reads it! haha really? i had my very first argument ever with OH when i was about 6 weeks, he told someone and i wasn't happy at all  he's already slipped up, but it was to his boss and i don't think he even noticed it. i'm not struggling too much to be honest there's only one person i want to tell, one of my close friends at work, other than that i think i could probably keep it a secret from everyone else - but, it's quite difficult when people keep asking and are obviously excited to know! perhaps your hubby will be the same as mine in the sense of not realising they'll have said it, i'm positive i'll do it at some point too! xxxxx

Good luck today Kathy! Think it will be hard keeping things a secret but we're still hoping to too! x

good luck! i'm so excited to see how you get on xxxx

Jt, we have the same due date! Welcome and congrats!

Everyone sounds like they have been very busy with shopping/nursery decorating/planning etc. I'm feeling very badly organised this time round...must get sorted!

Good luck for everyone's imminent scans. I love reading all the scan updates! I have just under 2 weeks to wait for mine! Boo hiss!

Xxx

Morning ladies! I feel like a child at Christmas, so excited, but also so anxious and a little worried how I will feel once we know which team we are in (is that normal?). Scan is at 13.15pm will keep you updated!

Sazzle I felt the same a couple of weeks ago and I have to say time as flown!

my 20 week is two weeks away as well sazzle, even though i know what team we're on i want it confirmed and to see baby again make sure theyre okay! and to see if she says about anterior placenta like at the pv scan.

completely normal kathy, i from day one wanted a boy and when it got to scan day i said to my OH it's gonna be a girl because i want a boy and i was actually worried that they would be a girl - i don't know if that's because i had a little girl already, even though she's not with us. or if it was because i had all girl things already i couldn't shop anymore for them. i'm not sure and i'm positive i would of been happy with either sex but when be turned out to be a boy yeah gotta say i was chuffed. and although i have said since my little girl went away to heaven, some people are so choosy it must be nice to just have a healthy baby - i definitely had a preference. maybe that's just a mummy thing. are you secretly wanting a certain sex or are you genuinly not too bothered? xxxx

Good luck for your scan kathy :)

I'm feeling a bit less sorry for myself today and I managed to laze about all day yesterday with ease lol. Mind you I did feel unwell haha. Today I'm going to go to tesco and buy some baking things to give me something to do I think. Oh is on leave he can do the bending into the oven where I will push him if he annoys me lol wish I could knit or something I need a hobby I can do sitting on my bum cos I'm not a tv person. Might drive to the beach later and have a walk :) xxx

I have alway wanted a little girl, cannot say why really why - it is just what I have always imagined. Initially I was really worried that I would be so disappointed with a boy, now I am so happy to be pregnant I think I will be happy either way - still so nervous though!!
DH was married before and has two older sons, he would love a girl also, though keep saying he will be happy either way - though I think he says that for me trying not to make me stress more about having a girl.
I have planned very little at the moment so once we find out I can start getting things ready and buying some bits, so either way hoping I will be excited and start to enjoy things!
As everyone says having a happy healthy baby at the end of it is the most important thing and I know I will love lo either way! Time will tell :)

lilmiss, glad you're feeling more positive today. they sound like lovely things to do today, enjoy!

of course kathy! i understand with your DH having boys already, too. i'm sure it will be nice if baby was a girl, something different for you both, but like you say either way i'm sure you will be happy especially as you have all the excitement of buying for them etc anyway! not long!! xxxx

Aww lilmiss you poor thing. Glad you're feeling better today though. We're also doing some baking today :-)

nds your nursery is going to look fab!

Great bump sarah

Welcome jt - amazing news!

We decided we need to order our pram soon. And had a quick look at Moses baskets the other day. Never had one with dd as she slept in a wooden crib upstairs, and her pram carrycot downstairs. But now we will *hopefully* be in our new house (it's taking foreverrrrrr) it's much bigger, so more space etc. and I want a Moses basket!

Talking of moving, no chance of us sorting the nursery for a few months at least yet :-( I know logically we don't need to, as bubs will be in our room for a few months at first anyway, it's just nice to have the room done! Hopefully we will move in time to decorate before bubs is due, especially as I'm planning to really drum home to dd that another person will be joining our home through sorting out his/her room.

thankyou! almost done, just got to add a pirate ship to neverland!

hope you get your move sorted soon crackers, i got my moses basket nine or ten months ago now from mamas and papas and it was really cheap in the sale! i bought my pram from ebay and it came complete with all the bits car seat etc all rain covers the only thing i had to buy was the parasol holder, it was like brand new. xxxx

omgg kathy exactly what you wanted i'm so excited for you!!!!!!! congratulations xxx

Thanks Nic - so happy team pink :) :)

Still cannot believe it we both had tears when we the sonographer told us! Just been around baby shops looking at all things girlie :) xxx
