OPKS detecting early pregnancy - help!

I know with my OPKs my lines were always there & fairly dark until I got my surge then seem to get lighter but still had 2 lines & I've noticed that the lines are dark when I have AF to

Mine were like yours MissJ, I always had two lines but the instructions say two lines, if the second line isn't as dark as the control line, means it's negative (for Ov).
Are you looking now for the test to pick up BFP? X

I know it's deemed negative for OV. No, still looking for a dark as control line test. Not holding my breath, hundreds of women never had dark as control line positives but still ovulated and had dark lines at their OV.

I'm not going to say I didn't ovulate just because I didn't have a super dark line. Lots of women don't get them with these tests but even so, I'm still on the look out for it.

We're only saying how strange it is my tests are so dark (even if they are negative for OV). Especially as in the beginning of my cycle, they're quite faint in between from after CD19 up until CD32ish.

Shauna - No idea yet cos I wanted to be sure I'd missed AF, which was why I started using the opks, to determine when AF would be due but obviously I'm still in the dark about it lmao. x x

If I do get AF, that's fine with me, I'd be a bit miffed but it would mean another whack at TTC and I would also look into getting some Agnus Castus.

I just dunked an OPK to see how dark it would be if the OPK picked up BFP, it's a lot lot darker...

I normally do it at 5, did this one at 3 cos I was bursting lol. Will do another later on and see what it's like. x x

Jen - Very dark, but then you are 8 weeks pregnant lol! I'm not trying to say my that because my opks are all like this I must be pregnant, I started the post genuinely wondering whether that's why my opks were showing lines like this. I know that for ovulation, according to the pack, they're negative but loads of women never got the elusive "dark as control" positive (buggering thing is just as tricky to get as a BFP!) so I'm not going to worry too much about it.

I've been BDing as much as possible and that's all I can do - a positive opk won't help me fall pregnant so I'm not thinking too much about it, just going to keep doing them til I either get AF or if I'm lucky enough, a BFP. xx

Oh yeah!! Lol, excuse the pun haha!!

Well, the thought of seeing a BFN makes me want to wait. I'd rather see nothing than see a BFN. x x

Who knows eh? The opks were supposed to help pinpoint AF so I'd at least know when I was due, whether I could test etc and I know nothing lmao. So will just keep on doing the opks!

Wow, just looked through. They weren't v. dark in the beginning were they? But I reckon her opks look darker than mine do lol. Might do another opk at 5 cos I am busting again lol. x x

just keep doing them and leave the hpt if that makes you feel better about it and if it is going to be a bfp then you wont have so long to wait till the 12 week mark and if it turns out that your body realeases the hormone until ov then the line will fade and you will know that you have ov and then you will be on the 2ww and if this month isnt a success like you said next month you can do AC and have more fun doing the BD your day will come and it will be the best day of your life when it does
