OPKS detecting early pregnancy - help!

I'm terrified that it's all a fluke, too good to be true and impossible all rolled into one..! I look at them and feel hopeful but if I were to get AF I know I'd be devastated and would struggle with my opks and making sense of them. There's so many what-if's!!!

I hate the idea of being secretly excited then getting BFNs, it would be really crap after such a build up with these bloody opks lol.

My last cycle was 65 days and the cycle before that was 42...So I'm hesitating at whether I really have OVed yet!

Don't know what to do.

If you are not going to test can you book yourself into the doc's for bloods? x

Also, yesterday and for a couple of days before, I thought AF was around the corner. Could feel crampy twingey feelings. Not as intense/severe as my normal AF cramps but defo felt something. xx

Hopeful - Last cycle hubby and I went to the docs for a blood test and he refused to do one. He said that we had to do at least 3 urine tests first and then said that the blood tests were expensive to do but would refer us for a scan (which was more expensive!) - that was over a month ago and we've heard nothing yet.

well get yourself to the doctors with all your sticks and get them to do one hun....if it's comes up Neg get them to make you understand why! You never know might actualy help your cause with TTC and the Docs!

I think it's just safer for me to think it's just build up to ovulation rather than detecting a pregnancy. x x

i would of put money on it that i would get af the next morning the day af was due it didnt come i tested and i got a bfp i also dont get many pg symptoms only had sore boobs this time

Get that one checked out hun, I had a scan to check to see if my tubes were blocked and bloods to make sure I was still ovulating a few years back after me presisting! At least you are on the books for something to happen, all you need now is to be bending their ear x

I got mine from eBay, FertilityPlan I think the shop was called.

I also think they're either 20 or 40Miu, I'm going to guess that they're more likely to be 20miu so quite sensitive really. Buggering things.

I've no idea when AF is due either, that was my whole motive for getting the OPKs, to determine when AF was due and so far, they're not helping! Lol. x x

I've had blood tests and ultrasounds done and got the all clear.

My old doc ordered them cos she was shocked at how crappy my cycles were.

Are you going to test soon? When I got my BFP I kept putting off testing partly because I just thought period was late and partly because I didn't want to feel disappointed.

just been to check which 1s i used and they are exactly the same and mine was always blank unless i was ov but then only + for a day and after i got bfp i kept getting + on them dont want to get your hopes up just in case but its either your pg or your body has a high level of the hormone that the opk detects so you couldnt pinpoint ov my sil has long cycles and she doesnt have + for as long as you do only when she is ov

Thanks girls. I have an inkling hubby will want to wait and see if we exceed my last cycle days. I think I could persuade him to get a HPT though - at least it would just "reassure" us that it is OV we're waiting for, unless of course it is a BFP.

Midnight, have you got piccies of yours? I looked through the gallery and can't seem to find anyone who has opks like mine?

Thought it was like that because I'm irregular but I know JennyFarful is irregular too and she didn't have OPKs like mine either.

I did that too in the beginning and then just decided to have a go at leaving it. I think I started doing it when my lines got darker. Then a couple of times I couldn't wait, that's when my lines were fainter in the pics so stuck to leaving it. x x
