i'll say now, don't go for nicole! that's my name - it's pronounced nicol, so i have no idea why the e is on the end, it is a french name though so probably has some fancy accent over it - i go by nic to most as it's just easier to get right rather than ni-cole or nicki (arghhhhh!! ). and nicola! omgggg.


elizabeth is lovely.
i love isla, isabelle/isabella, juliette i don't think would be shortened to julie at all that's a completely different name. eve/evie. sophie, holly.

they've probably been mentioned, but i'm a fan of those.

i like charlotte, but i think in teen years she may become a 'lottie'.

Not a huge fan of Cecilia... Love Juliette but like you don't like Julie or Jules. Elizabeth makes me think of the Queen lol. Love Charlotte - I went to school with a Charlotte whose name was never shortened. What about Evelyn and Eloise?

My fave girls name was always Emily then it went and shot right up the popularity list.

I think Cecilia Elizabeth has a nice ring to it. I also love the name Elizabeth but I don't like a lot of the nicknames associated with it. We are thinking of Elizabeth as a middle name as it is my mums middle name. Girls names are so tough! xx

When I was pregnant, I was so stuck on a boy's name, so I was lucky I had a girl! I had Tara and Robyn on my list, I named her Tara my niece is called Thea which I think is a lovely name
