We are still team yellow and I reckon boy but I have come across a name I love.

It's a bit "out there" - especially considering we went for such a traditional name for first born.

Name in question is: Indiana

Nickname will be Indie?

I love it, in-fact it's actually workable for a boy.

Honest opinions please, feel free to say if you hate it.

Really like it. A friends daughter is indi and it has a lovely sound to it.

Love it!!

Oh and I discussed it when we were talkihg baby names!

OH didn't hate it....

Other names are Francesca and Juliet. Oh and Amber but that is the cats name.

I feel pretty confident baby is a boy but hey ho...

I prefer Indiana for a girl. I'm not sure it works for a boy very well.

How would you pronounce it? I'm a touch posh  so I would elongate the a's - Indi-aar- na as opposed to Indi- ah-na

God knows if that makes sense! Lol! I know what I mean!

I really like Juliet! Think its ever so pretty!

It is a lovely name!

I wonder if mummy intuition is right and you'll have another blue bundle? Eeek so excited to find out, be it at 20 or 40 weeks!

I prefer Francesca (Frankie, was a name I wanted as would have been cute with Freya but hubby said NO!). Also love Juliet and wanted to be called that when I was little.

I dont hate Indiana but its a little out there for me. But defo not for a boy. Indiana Jones. I think a boy might get teased? X

I like indie. For a girl tho. Sorry, don't think it works for a boy IMO. I'd pronounce indi-ana too xx

I also like it for a girl but wouldn't personally choose it for a boy, I would also pronounce Indi-ana.

Amber's also on our girls list :) xxx

It's not a name I would choose myself but I do actually really like it. Definitely prefer it for a girl though. Indie has a nice sound to it for a nickname, very girly and pretty :) I think a boy might be teased due to the Indiana Jones films.

I've got Francesca (Frankie) on my list but have a feeling hubby will veto it once he's seen the list lol. He's a fussy old bugger when it comes to choosing names!

Thanks ladies,

It's odd that I am "sure" baby is a boy but we've only discussed girls names? It's last baby so last chance to think of girls names lol.

I am not as sure as I with James but I'd still say 75/25 that I think boy.

Agree that I only like Indiana for a girl. I wouldn't use it for a boy.

We are finding out [hopefully] this time, scan is on 28th.

Amber is a beautiful name but we have had to veto it because of the furry Amber at home.

Frankie is cute but I prefer Indiana. Who'd have thought I'd fall in love with such a whacky name. Our girls list last time was very traditional. Not that we ever agreed on a name but we had Charlotte, Elizabeth, Chloe etc.. on our "list"

Do you have any thoughts on any other boys names you like? We've concentrated mainly on girls names this time as 1, everyone thinks it is a girl (although I'm still 50/50) and 2, we find girls names so hard. Like you we like more traditional names Elizabeth, Lillian, Matilda, Mollie, Harriet but also like some more modern names, Amber, Willow and Piper, very random xxx

I'm convinced I'm having another boy too. OH won't even entertain discussing names until we know the sex so we can rule out having to choose one particular gender. Shame as I love discussing names, so have my own lists running anyway lol.

We like Finn for a boy... not loving it but we both quite like it?

Other than that we have zilch.

I quite like Indiana for a girl, not enough for it to get on my name list tho. I love Finn for a boy but it's my friends little boys name. I love Theo and if we have another boy I'll be trying to convince oh he likes it too :)

Yeah its nice!
Similar, I have a friend called India :) x

I quite like Zilch. :p

For a boy we have Elliott and a girl is Evelyn (Evie).

I like Indiana but I'm not a bit fan of Indie. I always get paranoid about how it would shorten. I love Juliet too but I wouldnt want it shortened to Jules or Julie.

i love love love name Indiana!!!! for a boy it's such a cool name (because Indiana Jones was really cool;-))) and for a girl it's very sweet and nice name! Indi sounds wonderful as well!
By the way i like Amber;-) I do not think it's cat's name;-) Zilch to my mind is just awful name( horrible! Finn or Finley is better. Like Francesca! you can take Francesca and Francis;-) and then wait who will come to this world - a boy or a girl;-)

Zilch isn't a name, it's a slang term for nothing as in:

Other than that we have zilch / nothing
/ no other names
