One born every minute...

I'm glad most of you have said that 'Sam' was annoying cause my goodness did she annoy me and all I kept saying to my OH was I hope I don't act like that when I'm in Labour as she was annoying and its embarrassing. I know me and if I had a bad pregnancy I will be going round to everyone apologising and thanking people for putting up with me and helping in any way that they did lol

I felt sorry for Joy, how many people went out to go and get her food and it was still over an hour late.

But omg Ema-Lou I didnt realise Joy said that. Thats terrible.

but her comment when she was leaving the ward about only having a baby cos everyone else was and didnt know if she wanted one REALLY rattled my teeth!!

Joy did say that but I think after 4/5days in hospital being induced I think she was just mega fed up because earlier when they had interviewed her she really wanted her baby and had tried for a long time to get pregnant. It was a bad thing to say but I dont think she really meant it.

i got induced with the weeman and i wasnt screaming or had gas and air, they used a crochet hook (sp) type thing to break my waters....dunno what they were doing to that joy woman.... i can understand why she was getting annoyed tho but didnt like her comment at end of programme.

whenever i got a contraction i just took really long deep breaths, didnt have the energy to scream like that vicky pollard woman, her bf looked shit feared!! i gotta admit i was kinda gutted she had to have a c-section, but know they had to get the baby out as she was in trouble, but i wanted her to actually "feel it" lol

when i was at the pushing stages, they had to put the drip in me hand and the ventouse (sp) thing too, cos i failed to progress but when i was pushed, everytime i stopped i kept asking my ex if i had followed through!! that was the only horror story i got told, was that u might shit yerself......that was the only thing i didnt wanna happen, even tho i had my floof in the air and everything, i just didnt wanna shit the bed...

when u girls were in labour, did use feel like when u were pushing that u were just having an enormous dump?? when my sis was preggers, it was only way i could explain it to her

i think child birth is an amazing thing and an amazing journey...its managable....whereas that sam was just pathetic

oh crap....what if that sam woman is a member on here??

ooooooooooooooppppppppppppps!!!!

(if so, i do apologise, but really tho, u didnt need to scream that much lol)

i shall continue to place my foot firmly in my mouth now

thats very true, i would be hacked off too, but theres people i.e ME who cant even afford to have one little go of IVF, then theres her saying shes only doing it cos other people are having babies...kinda boiled my pee a lil bit

i really shouldnt take these programs so personal :oooo:

i haven't watched it yet as i sky+ it but it sounds like its gonna be a right cringe fest. After i had Jacob there was a woman in the room next door to me and she was a screamer but in her defence it was a vontouse delivery and the baby was stuck in her pelvis xx

vontouse i have to admit is quite bad.....they are pulling while u are pushing, but u feel like they pulling your insides out and sumtimes they kept pulling once id stopped pushing cos contraction was gone....

sorry if im putting u off, but like i said its a bearable pain xx

I am actually really surprised at how out of control some women are. It just shows how easy it is to go from what could be a good labour, to a highly stressful assisted delivery. I would really encourage everyone who is pregnant to look into hypnotherapy and relaxation. If you start hyperventilating like Sam did, then it makes everything 10 times worse. Your muscles contract and tighten, meaning it takes longer for you to dilate, you don't release endorphins properly, you are stressed, etc.

Sam when she was 1-3cms was  I think a lot of it was fear, stress, etc which made the pain worse. You can see she is crying, screaming and hyperventilating even after the contraction has passed. Not every labour is like that, so I hope none of the preggo girls will get worried  I was induced with a back to back labour and though 1-4cms was noticeable, it was very manageable with walking, baths and even just watching some movies on my laptop and bouncing on a ball. I certainly didn't think I was in a lot of pain.

 It's not something I've experienced and isn't something used all the time :)

I loved it i thought it was funny what that man was doing to he's wife , but if my OH did that to me fists would be flying hehe

I am off into the bedroom in a bit to watch tonights installment. I really hope they show a more positive side to birth.

Tonks i agree about the hypoventalating (sp) and more pain coz when i lost the plot as i was starting to push the pain was terrible. I still blame OH for leaving me alone for 20 mins, i was focused and coping extremely well up until that point but i freaked out a bit at transition and felt scared coz i was all on my lonesome  xx

Strap yourselves in for more images of women screaming and generally freaking out!

i totally forgot it was on tonight! I'm at my mums at not sur if she'l want to watch it x

YES!!! :yay: And no one yelling at her to PUSH!!!! Just gentle encouragement :D

Plenty of time for them to ruin the rest of the show though
