*******~~~October Mummies~~~*******

Hi and welcome to the new October mummies! (if i'm not stepping on any body's toes by saying that!)

Urgh. Had a crap night last night. I was so tired but couldn't get to sleep. Just felt like rubbish. I just caught myself thinking that I didn't want to be pregnant anymore and I also didn't want a baby. Hmmm, not good.
And drool!ball I have done the last couple of nights is drool! I did tend to drool a bit in my sleep before beiing preg but the last couple of nights I have had to turn my pillows around every couple f hours because the drool patchs are HUUUGE. I'm thinking of sleeping n the bath tonight, I even mnaged to get hubbie's pillow!

Long post on nothing really.
Hope everyone else is ok.

Hi I'm also having an October baby. I'm due 18th October and having a little boy. I already have a daughter who is 2 years and 7 months.
Been reading this thread and it is so nice to see people having these problems as me. In my first pregnancy I had pre eclampsia resulting in a lot of hospital stays and an induction at 37 weeks. So this time I have been monitored very closely including weekly community midwife appts.
I have suffered with the foetal movements so bad this time though had scan after scan he seems really happy the little monkey however he is measuring big (his sister was 7lb 7.5oz at 37 weeks with pre eclampsia) so he's looking like a whopper too lol. Luckily this time I have had no official pre eclampsia whoever now I'm nearing the end I'm having more of the symptoms my headaches and visual disturbances are the worst parts.
On Friday I thought I had gone into labour was contracting every 2-3 mins and were lasting a good 50-60 seconds so I went into Delivery was monitored and checked. It really did look like I was going into labour however my cervix
Wasn't opening. They wouldn't allow me home though as when I had dd1 I had a full labour of 5hrs and dilated from 4-10
In 10 mins the drs wouldn't take the rosk of me being 9 miles away. Also for the first time this pregnancy my bp was high.
The contractions carried on throughout my overnight stay but had stopped by Saturday morning. However all the pain was in my back hips and legs exactly like dd1. (Back to back) :(
After agreeing and asking the dr to let me out I have come home however they don't think it will be too long. Already been warned that if my waters break at home I have to get an ambulance into hospital in
Case this baby flys out too.
Xxxxxxxx

Hi Yazzy,
Sounds like you have it all going on and that you may well end up not being an October mum after all. Fingers crossed littleone stays put for a while longer though and the pre-eclampsia doesn't rear it's ugly head.

Hello to all the new October mummies, I am adding you as soon as I see you!

Been to the MW today, BP is 130/80 - yay!! :)

Yaaaay, I got my Tapatalk working again. Totally screwed my profile. Had to delete it and re-add it.

Hope everyone's ok today and big hello to new folk

First proper day off from work today. After dropping DS1 at nursery I hit Aldi and Tesco and got some errands done. Got home by lunch and it felt like bubs was about to fall out so may have over done it a bit lol.

Decided to watch the first episode The Midwives during lunch. Huge mistake, was about high risk births and bereavements. I was pretty much sobbing on the floor by the end of it

Nice nap in the afternoon (bliss). Then made a huge batch of home made kebab mix and froze it in portions. It's the start of me stocking up the freezer with easy meals.

Really thought things were starting again today went into town with dd1 when the pains started regularly hitting and hurting again. Rushed home to mske sure I was somewhere safe 2 hours later started slowing :( I'm still getting them just not painful enough yet!!! Come on baby! Xx

Hi folks.
It definitely sounds to me that you won't be having an October bubba Yazzy!

I'm 37 weeks today so bubba is fully cooked. It felt like I would never get to this stage. Now I'm just dreading the idea that it could still be another 5 weeks until bubba actually arrives. I think I might just loose the plot completely if that happened!

I bet. I spoke to midwife and due to issues and size of little man I can only go 10 days over! I was induced at 37+1 with dd
So don't fancy a whole month more being pregnant especially with these pains! Got consultant next week and after the disappointing one last week I'm going to stand my ground and not leave until I have answers! Got my fingers and toes crossed he appears before then though! Still having these tightenings they literally are 5 mins apart with backache and pelvic pain!
Fingers crossed for you!!! Xxx

Thanks. I've not even had a Braxton hick yet so I really think this bubba is here for the long haul. Just hope everything goes well for you. I really don't like the idea of an induction if there is no real medical reason but I suppose in some circumstances they are necessary.

At the maternity ward for a tour. It's not started yet. Just had a minor panic attack in the loo. It's getting really real. Bubs is going to be here in four weeks regardless of the method. It was the thought of my experience last time which freaked me out. I wasn't expecting that. Calm again now though.

Oh bless you hun, I know the feeling. I keep having a bit of a panic about it....this is actually happening!!!!!!

Well I made a complete and utter tit of myself on the walk round. Cried twice, looked like a total head case. I hope I never see the other people on the tour ever again, so embarrassed. I really did not expect to react that way. I felt fine going there for the tour and then just had a meltdown. I'm seeing my MW Sin the morning, am going to have a chat to her about it. It's a bit late in the day to organise counselling.

Hope all October mummies are all ok I am goin stir crazy at home could still be 4 weeks too! Not a twinge or anything 38 weeks 2mo!

Sometimes I think its worse having the twinges, you keep thinking something is going to happen! My pains are getting more often and stronger AND I had a small bit of my plug come away earlier too! I just can't imagine anything actually happening!!

Five days until we are the LABOUR sparkly thread girls!!!!!

I have to admit that I'm starting to get a bit bored waiting and I don't seem to have anything happening. TMI but I had a fair bit of brown discharge on Sunday and thought it was my show but had nothing since so who knows. My OH isn't home until a week on Sunday and so I know I should want to wait for him but part of me would be happy to go early x
