My mum said I should have told the midwife at booking in that I was 4 weeks premature. Does that make a difference? It didn't even cross my mind.

Just tell her at your next appointment it's worth them knowing I guess but doesn't mean that your baby will early too.

Booking in is a consultation type and you meet with your MW, you'll go through your book and answer all your health questions. Theyll also do your booking bloods too and youll give a urine sample just to check for any proteins or anything.

You'll answer your partners questions (best to bring him its your first baby together) and your height and weight.

My booking in lasted an hour. Some last longer or shorter.

Glad everything was ok cherrybelly, yes I get what you mean it's hard to feel excited until your out of the danger zone because that's how I feel. But at the minute we have nothing to be worried about so take it easy and enjoy! Hope your feeling well xx

Hey girls, I have just got my 12 wk scan appt today for 1st April. From my ES I am 9 weeks today, so I will be 13 wks on my scanning and screening date. Do you think that's right and will I be ok for screening at that point?

Just wanted to give another perspective on this Hun, I live in Liverpool and my bloods weren't done at my booking in but will be done at the time of my scan. Just in case anyone was wondering, it seems different in different regions x

I am on the wirral. I thought it was between 12 & 13 weeks they could do the screening? I could be wrong but you might be ok. Are you having your care at the women's? It might be worth giving them a quick call on Monday just to check you will be able to have the screening on the 1st being 13 weeks. I would just for the reassurance especially if your set on having the screening. Hope your well Xx
