.. October 2016 Mummies - First Trimester ..

Well my 'break' lasted all of 2 minutes.
So I had a bleed today ... not alot but still bleeding it's brown now. Had a flood when I sneezed lol which was also mostly brown, but had a tiny bright red clot in there so not looking good. This is exactly what happened with my last, brown blood slowly getting heavier and turing red. I have a scan on the 16th to see if theres anything in the sac that's if i don't pass it before hand.
And now they've found i have polycystic ovaries, i just really don't have much hope of us having a baby in the near future.
I feel stupid for holding on to a little bit of hope that this one's ok.
Hope your all doing well xx

Sometimes its only us likeminded folk that keep us sane. We are an outlet although I do understand having that outlet sometimes makes you stress more. No winning.

Sorry to hear that you have had a bleed hunni, try to focus on the positives of brown blood. Are you having bad cramping. Its always easy to fear the worst so I hope its not in your case.

The good thing about now being aware of PCOS you can now approach ttc from a different angle should it go pear shaped, and being prepared next time might make all the difference?

Anyway. Sorry again, not alot makes us feel great when we are seriously worried but we are all here no matter what the outcome. Keep us posted.

Best of luck sweetie.

So what a day. My wee two year old had temp again this morning I went to work for a few hours and he was with my mum. Dashed to asda to get organised for my daughters birthday tomorrow. Home to my wee boy and wasn't happy with how he was so ended up at out of hours, turns out he has a bad ear infection and his temp was 40 degrees even though I had given him paracetamol! Then dropped him home and then mad dash back to asda to get their chemist! hubby had offered to take him and go to asda but when my kids are sick I'm like this prowess lioness!!! Got home about 8 and hubby had made lovely mince and potatoes for me. Hot bath next to try and get rid of this cold. I've resisted taking paracetamol I know it's meant to be safe but for some reason I would prefer to do without it! Feel pretty grim if I'm honest. Sorry for the moaning! It's all self inflicted! Lol xx

Your allowed to moan! Life in early pregnancy is hard enough without, work, sick babies and sickness yourself.

Jackson has just got over a cold, ear infection and conjunctivitis. Now Im bunged up with swollen glands after a chest infection 2 weeks ago. Its never ending.

Hope your wee ones better soon, always better to be safe. With Js temp I quite like using both Calpol and Fenopaed the ibuprofen/fenopaed works so well for his temp. We got admitted to YH last xmas with Bronchioliasis, he got it twice after bt now I just demand antibiotics, salbutamol, calpol, fenopaed and any other oils etc for his breathing. The time he was admitted though we just knew something was off.

Mince n tatties, I had freybentos extra stew mash n beans yest. Stodge all the way.

xxxx

Our immune systems are just run ragged. Lol. Hope yours doesn't come to anything and passes quickly.

Yeah calpol doesn't really work for my wee boy I tend to prefer the ibruprofen and just alternate them. He also had bronchioliasis when he was a babe and it was hellish. They said he could be susceptible until he was 3 but touch wood he only had a couple of bouts of it.

Yeah I'm loving stodge and ham and cheese sandwiches which I never eat together ! Lol.. I normally love to have some crisps in the evening or a supper but after dinner I'm full and not wanting anymore. Strange as it's the time of day I love when the kids are in bed and I can settle down to some TV and snacks! I'm sure it will come back no doubt!! Lol. Xx

Hiya congratulations and welcome, when is your booking with the mw? You would be more than 3/4wks if your due on the 8th oct xx

Hi girls, so after awful cramping last night and worried that would be the end ive tuck a test this morning and its shown very positive n dark still so fingers crossed xx

So I rang the doctors this afternoon to get a booking in appointment. I was really hoping that I could get in at the end of next week as it is half term (I am a teacher!), but they can't fit me in until the following Friday (26th). Can I have this added to my dates please?
Annoyingly I think this means I will have to tell work as my appointment is at 10am. I am usually in school from 7am-5pm, but my teaching hours on that day are 8:30-1: 00. The doctors is a 45 min drive from my school and the receptionist told me to expect a 90 minute appointment that day. It makes it pretty impractical to return to work after the appointment and as my husband and I share a car it would mean he would have to take most of the day off so that he could ferry me back to work again afterwards.
Has anyone else told work this early on? I don't really want to share my news at work yet (or with anyone IRL!), but I don't really want to lie and call in sick for the day either.

Hi

What a difficult one for you. Could you say you have the doctor and hope to be back but then call them to say the doctor is running late? Or just tell them it's a hospital app and you have been told it could take two hours? You don't need to say why you are going or you could tell them it's gyn issues. Or fail in that you tell them if that's what would make you more comfortable doing. They are bound to confidentiality so it should go no further....xx

I've hardly spent any time off work since I first started my job two years ago but that will be the third day since finding out I was pregnant. I just feel guilty. I can see why no one wants to employ 30 year old newly married females! I think telling them it is a hospital appointment is the best bet. When I had a hospital appointment last Easter I had to send in documentation evidencing that I had attempted to change my given hospital date to one in the half term! Never become a teacher! I did even ask if I could move my booking in appointment to the Easter holidays but I was told as I would be more than 13 weeks it would be too late to be seen.

Fingers crossed!
I had very bad cramping last week but it seems to have calmed down again this week thankfully. Babies are just making room in there I guess!

Perhaps you could do what I did first time round. Request time off for a personal appointment and take a photocopy of your appointment letter but put postets over Department and Appointment type. I did that and no questions asked. If you go to the extent to cover the main details I doubt theyd prod at it. As long as it is hospital headed and has an appointment they dont NEED to know why. Could be a colonoscopy or investigations thats personal. Plus all being well at the scan after I imagine youd say, theyd understand. Not everyone wants to share before then.

This time Im teling work after my 8w scan because theres stuff I cant do now being pregnant and to make sure they have MORE than enough time to arrange my cover when off. Ive just started a new desk today. Its not had a body at it for a year obviously falling on the other girls, so trying not to fuck them over for cover. If they dont get cover atleast I know Ive told early. Bt thats ofcourse pending the scan goes well.

I hope you find a solution for work, atleast with my suggestion your not lying, just not sharing overly personal info.

Ooo, I like the post-it idea! Good thinking!

I have had some bad cramps but on and off, had really bad ones just before the bleed so I'm just waiting for it to happen now. My hubby said I can go private about the pcos but I don't know.
Yesterday my doctor basically had ago at me for going to have a private scan, hubby said we went because it's hard to get in at the epu and she just gave him a dirty look and said it's not really. Also said before she refers me to the epu she needs to do a pregnancytest because she doesn't believe I am ... (last time I was pregnant she had ago at me for wanting the doctor to give me a test saying if i have a positive on a hpt I deffo preg.) Even though I took my scan pictures with me and a letter saying I'm pregnant from the private place. When I finally convinced her she told me to stand outside her room while she called the epu. Then i went back in and she was being really friendly so maybe they told her there's something wrong with the info if given? Hmm x

Sorry you've had a bleed Peanutbutter! A girl I knew had a very bad bleed: clots and everything but her baby was fine! I hope you have the same outcome. Have you rang the EPAU? Maybe get another scan or blood tests?

Thinking of you!

Hi girls,
On my way to A&E... heavy bright red blood so I'm out.
Good luck to the rest of you, all the best xx

Will pop in to see how everyone's doing xx
