BOOTS FREE CHANGING BAG

I thought I would let you know that if you register with boots club you should get a few vouchers and one of them will get you a free changing bag worth £30 if you buy a back of pampers newborn nappies (£7.99).

I ordered mine yesterday and will collect on Friday

KHTW I got that changing bag with my first, it's pretty useful to have, I had a nice one I'd bought from mothercare that I used daily and then used my boots one as a spare it was very handy and most importantly FREE

MrsS it's defo not set in stone, my mother-in-law has a huge part in our lives, our son and on our wedding day, as equal as my parents. In fact I have a rather complicated relationship with my mum, it's not close in a mother daughter way.

I'm really close to my mum but so is my brother, hes 29 and still lives at home lol

I'm not really sure it is determined by the sex really, I think it's more to do with the family setting and the way the family works together/ how the child is raised.

although I think it applies to my OH, only because his mum is trying to make sure it does!

do you think it will be ok that i cant have my 16 week midwife appointment until i am 18 weeks 4 days?

I think you'll be fine, the 16 week is to go through bloods etc. It is the 28 week one that has to be quite specifically at 28 weeks I believe?

Not sure but my 28 weeks appointment is when I'll be slightly over 30... God knows!

It must be that it definitely has to be after 28 weeks then, that would make more sense.

yeah my 16 week one was a bit of an anti-climax, except for the heartbeat When I went for my 8 week apt I was told bloods would be taken at every other one, and I guess as you will be closer to full term then they will start to talk more about details of a birth plan possibly??

I have just realized that after my 20 week scan next week I will have to wait 10 weeks for the next one?! No way I can manage such long wait Think I may book 4d scan around week 26!

Think the timing of the 28 week one is due to the Anti D injection timing (yip I'll be getting that lol).

Karolina how are you getting a scan at 30 weeks lol, 20 is my last. I'm booking a private 4D for 26 weeks too.

Due to me having rheumatoid arthritis I get 2 extra growth scans .

I am really excited about the scan on Wednesday! Not that stressed this time, probably because we had a privet scan done at 17 weeks. Ok, maybe I am a bit nervous.... Who am I kidding?! I am stressing but also very excited to see the little lady again

I can only really go on my family set up and OHs

I'll just need to try hard when he's growing up to make him want to continue to have me around and include me throughout his life

I feel terrible and guilty
I just keep crying about it
Im disgusted and shocked how sad i feel over this all

boys love their mums and are very protective for life. I didnt think i would want a son but my little boy is the greatest gift in the world.

Mrs S I hope you start to feel better soon, it sounds as though you are feeling quite emotional chick, but try not to anticipate the unknown yet each and every baby is different, your relationship and the future cannot be predicted...

In my family my bro was deffo more of a mummies boy and stuck around the nest a lot longer than me - I was really independent and was planning on fleeing off into the world alone very young by this days standards...I left home at 20 and loved it. My mum said that saying to me once and it kind of gave me the creeps! Of course we love each other and are in regular contact...but even if we lived in different countries it would still be the same.

I'm getting excited and nervous for my scan next week! Fingers crossed everythings ok. I've become obsessed with listening to my babies heartbeat daily ...and have felt a few movements now nothing massive yet tho, not as defined as some of you have said x
