*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Yay to baby movements, mine is practicing Zumba skills now :) yipeeeee! not long for you MrsS - can't wait to hear, we find out on Sunday :)

Happy Monday everyone, it is really whizzing past!

Thanks littletwix x

Did I say congratulations on your blue bundle?? :hugs: When did you find out? (Sorry if it I'm having a blond moment here)

we found out quite a while ago, I got the harmony test done and they can tell the sex with that :)

delighted we're having a boy because we're going to name him after my dad :)

Hello ladies, I am properly back now, and currently 16+5. Now going to need to buy some maternity jeans as I am not fitting in to any of them, how depressing!

Its nice to see everyone is starting to feel movement now, hope I don't have to wait too long!

littletwix, how lovely that you are naming the little one after your dad! It's really sweet x

carrie, there is nothing more comfortable than maternity jeans! I could wear mine all day, every day  I also find my maternity yoga pants super comfortable & would highly recommend for walking about the house :)

Feeling the baby move properly is the best! And the little kicks.... I'm sure you will soon get to experience it all x

ah I honestly cant wait to get in a pair; the pair I'm wearing for work today are held shut with a hair tie and still feel uncomfortable! I have to keep pulling my tshirt to cover it up and its driving me nuts!

I'm really looking forward to feeling baby move, hearing the heartbeat at my MW apt last Wednesday was lovely, so movement will keep me busy until my 20 wk scan. 4 weeks today!

Reaching all the milestones is so exciting!!!!

I must admit that now when I don't feel the baby move for a while I get a bit nervous and usually find myself rubbing the belly  Luckily I get a reaction most of the time! Yet another thing to stress about :dohh:

I bought maternity clothes today (eventually gave in lol) xx

Shelly, did you have fun shopping? I manage to stick to 1 pair of maternity jeans and my normal tunics... wonder how long that will last!

Loads of tops, x3 dresses for work, x2 leggings & x1 trousers - Hopefully thats me until im full term :lol:

I know Karolina, im 19 weeks tomorrow (or was 19 on Sat had they not stolen 3 days :shakehead::lol:), its actually moving a bit quicker now & our 20 week scans are next week!!!:shock:

Hope everyone is keeping well, can anyone feel movement on outside yet? xx

well, just sent my email to our HR department to give them official notice of my pregnancy before I'm able to supply the MATB1 form. Yay, exciting!

Had my mw apt today and got to hear the heartbeat love that sound so much!!! Although she was over 10mins chasing the baby round to get it. Apparantly it's a very active baby, but I knew that already by all the kicks it gives me!!!!

My little boy was talking to my tummy and 'mr jiggly' as he nicknamed the baby, and it jabbed me really hard right where my boys mouth was! Not sure if that meant he likes his big brother or not lol!!!!

Haha! This is hilarious! What did your boy say to that??

He's been really invested in the baby wanting to know how everything works like the umbilical cord, placenta etc and hes only 3! so he was excited when I said baby could now hear and bless him when I said ooh it kicked he was over the moon to get confirmation baby actually heard him  he won't hear a bad word said about the baby and gets upset if I say it's naughty because it's making me sick!! Lol I can't wait until he can feel the kicks himself, I've recorded the heartbeat from today for him to hear when he gets home from nursery, although it might get a bit overshadowed by the excitement of the new tortoise we are adopting this evening!!

That's so sweet Bunnykins. I've got my midwife appt tomorrow and I'm looking forward to hearing bubba's heartbeat. I don't think DD gets it very much yet. But she repeats 'baby in mummy's tummy', 'big sister' and gives my tummy kisses though which is very cute.

Got terrible trapped wind today which is causing me much discomfort and making me feel a bit quesy. I also have terrible piles (sorry TMI). Just thought I'd share that, lol! xx

MrsV I've had trapped wknd since end of last week & it's bloody sore/uncomfortable - hope yours clears soon. X

Ooh glad trapped wind is the one thing I've not had its bloody awful, I feel for you both!!!!

Aw MrsV your daughter sounds so cute!!

My mw was very impressed when I was telling her about my son's interest so she's said I have to bring him with me to my next appointment and she'll explain the doppler to him and let him hear the heart beat :) I thought that was really nice of her!!

I'm really having second thoughts about tomorrow
Its gender scan day
Im really worried about it
i do want to know but i fear im going to be devastated its a boy
Who even does that???
All my life growing up I've pictured having a little princess
I genuinely think I'll be heartbroken if it isn't a girl and i feel like a monster for feeling that way
Obviously if its a boy I'll get over myself and love him the same regardless
But the thought of it is actually causing me a lot of anxiety :(

Oh hon, if you are disappointed that doesn't make you a bad person, it makes you human. Some people have very distinct preferences on gender and others don't care. I wanted a girl for my first and when we had the gender scan and saw it was a boy I was disappointed, notdevastated but certainly disappointed. It lasted all of an hour by the time we'd driven home I loved that boy as fiercely as anyone could. I completely forgot about wanting a girl and embraced the joy that is a boy seriously they are bloody awesome, they love their mums without question, they are just wonderful. I'd love the opportunity to buy dresses and dolls and will be upset to have never had a girl but despite that me who was once desperate for a girl now wants a 2nd little boy :)
Besides I still get the dollies and dresses as my son loves nothing more than a twirl in a princess costume holding his baby doll in one hand and his teenage mutant ninja turtle Sai daggers in the other lol!!

What I'm trying to say is don't be anxious or worry or work up over your scan try to relax and enjoy the experience, you only get to experience the surprise of the gender reveal once in the pregnancy it's a special thing :) you may not get the flavour you thought you wanted but when your mindset has adjusted you'll not be able to imagine wanting any other flavour than the one you got xxxxxx

Gail, if you get a boy I will swap with you!!! But on a serious note, both me and OH were convinced we were having a boy and truth be told I've always wanted a boy... When we found out it's a little girl and so her wriggling around in my tummy, kicking and waving at us we both forgot that the baby 'supposed to be' a boy!

Try not to stress about it to much. Even if you are initially disappointed you will have a good few months to get over it and I bet when you hold this little person in your arms, it won't matter if its a boy or girl x

Anyway, I wish you a little girl! Fingers crossed!! x
