November 2020 mums

The movements I feel are under my belly button but too the right. That's where baby is lying, when I lie on my back I have a bulge on the right :) I think everyone is different and it's completely normal to feel different things!

I have a bulge more to one side than the other too. So glad I'm not the only one!

@CrazyChic - You cannot be forced to take maternity earlier than you want to. If your company can not social distance you and give you a role where you are not mixing with other people then they have to accommodate you working from home on FULL PAY! x

OK thank you. I'm a hairdresser so I can't social distance and I can't work from home. I'm worried about my mental health too, the thought of returning to work has got my through the last few weeks :( a lot of my pay if bonuses from doing clients so I'm on full pay as in my basic but I'll losing out so much on my bonus. Oh well I'll just have to wait and see and stop worrying like everyone says x

Not worrying must be really really tough though, I'm so sorry you are losing so much pay. I hope that it gets sorted out soon. Aren't the hairdresser's looking to reopen with PPE etc soon? If you have ppe you might not need to socially distance? Xx

I only had to get up once last night to pee! I'm so happy. My uterus must be on the move!!

This is miraculous and I am jealous haha.
It was the same last night as well, and I'm going to stop taking my 3am meds (hopefully that won't cause the sickness to come back) so I'm hoping for a sleep from 11 till 7 tonight (although that's not going to happen as my 2 year old will appear at some point, but I can dream!)

How has everyone's weekends been? We've been enjoying the sunshine. The lockdown rules relaxed here slightly on Friday so on Saturday we went to the beach for a little bit, and then the kids and I went for a bike ride with one of their friends. But it was a nightmare to social distance as they didn't seem at all bothered about following the rules - my 4 year old was uncomfortable enough to tell my friend she was too close to him, that's how bad it got. Really put me off trying to see friends. But my husband's dad came for a dog walk this morning and that went better (although I don't get on with him too well so less good for my need for social contact).

I've not felt the baby move for a few days but I keep remind myself that that's normal at this phase and it's probably just wriggled itself away somewhere I can't feel it as much, but I wish the little pops would start back up!!

But we had the paddling pool out this afternoon which was nice and now I'm making a sunday roast to eat outside.

Anyone else tried to meet up with anyone outside their household yet?

Fingers crossed you get a good nights sleep tonight!

I’ve felt the same as you re baby wiggles. Had nothing the past couple of days and was so relieved when he/she gave a good wiggle this afternoon :)

We haven’t bothered trying to go anywhere or see anyone. We’re waiting for the announcement that we can stay with family and will then go and see D’s dad, step mum and sister out in rural Hampshire for a nice weekend :) Other than my brother in Lewisham (who we can’t drive to see as there’s nowhere to park) they’re the closest family to us and they’re two hours away!

My parents are four hours away in Liverpool and my dad has just had chemo so we’re hoping we’ll get to stay with them at the end of august.

It’s really scary when people don’t respect the two metre rule! I’m sorry your son had to feel uncomfortable :( We see it all the time on our daily walk. People will just brush past each other and not bat an eyelid whereas we will cross the street to avoid people.

This weekend I ordered a boxed afternoon tea and surprised my husband with it :) He was really happy and we ate it at the table with our cake stand and fancy tea service like we would at a restaurant.

That sounds amazing!!! Hope you both enjoyed it!!!

I think I've felt baby a few times today. The movements feel a lot more muffled, like it's changed position. Or it's gas...

Can't wait till the kicks are more obvious!

I'm getting a lot more confident identifying baby kicks now. They seem to be happening a lot more now too. They are usually around the same place too so I'm pretty sure I know where baby's feet are. Hubby likes finding out what I'm listening too when baby kicks. This morning I told him that baby likes Underoath, he will be thrilled if that turns out to be true.

Pleased your getting lots of kicks :D

Morning all :) How is everyone feeling?

My nausea is still going strong (admittedly not as bad as it was but still present). I shook it off for a few days the weekend before last but then it came back. Today's new symptom is dizziness! Yay... just what I want on top of feeling sick. 15+5 today. I'm so desperate to feel normal again :(

I think feeling normal is a thing of the past.

A fun thing I found out today. Pregnancy plays havoc on your skin. The acne was annoying enough but now I have a few red spots popping up on my hands and arms too. One if them is a bit raised so I went to a dermatologist to check it over just in case. He said it was not anything cancerous and just looked like a malformed capillary to him.

Sorry your still feeling sick :( :( and now your dizzy too, hopefully you'll start to feel that 2nd trimester normal soon!

I'm ok at the moment, still medicated for the sickness. Just reduced one dose of meds yesterday and was quite nauseous for the afternoon but I'm forging ahead with the reduction and hoping it was just my body adjusting. So far so good today, will see how we go later.

Oh no! Hopefully you'll go back to no red spots on your hand after baby arrives :( these pregnancies aren't easy are they!

@EmilyMaria Red spots do not sound fun! I'm glad the dermatologist said there was nothing to worry about though :) Also, the way she describes that doll makes it sound so creepy! Haha! I'd definitely look into getting a white noise toy or something similar though as I have friends who swear by them for getting their babies to sleep soundly.

@CharliC I'm so happy you can finally start weaning off the medication! I hope it isn't too much longer until you're off them all together and the sickness is completely gone :D

Anyone looking into a lulla doll, or has used something like this before? I think I'm keen to try it with bub.

And I have to share this review because it is hilarious.

My love for a creep – The Lulla Doll review

Nothing worked for getting my children to sleep but we never actually tried a lulla doll. We have a dehumidifier which we use as white noise but I don't think it does anything, they still don't sleep

Baby brain has hit hard! Today I offered my kids 'trousers' for breakfast rather than toast. They looked so confused bless them.

This has been me the whole pregnancy.
It was worse in the first trimester though. I kept fogetting what it was I walked into that room to do, getting tongue tied and having to pause to search for words mid sentence.

Unfortunately it never goes away :( I'm the worst at work, I can never complete a sentence when I need to sound like I know what I'm talking about. I'm surprised I actually got given the job really hah. I guess it's just gonna get even worse now, I'll have to warn my boss.

Hope your well!!
