*** November 2014 Mum's ***

I hope he settled for you Mellie? It's horrible when they cry and you have no idea what's wrong. I found my eldest had an episode of that when she was a newborn and it was because I'd eaten a whole load of party food at a family party, lots of spice and garlic etc. Made her really suffer. But after a couple of months my diet didn't really impact her anymore.
But then anything can disturb them at this young age!

How did the post natal check up go Kaa?

We didn't have a great night either, she's still a bit bunged up from her cold so every hour she was up because she was struggling to catch her breathe poor mite! Good news was we were discharged from the midwife yesterday and she's put on 50g in a day! I can't wait for her to pork out more!!xx

Also hubby's first day back at work today :( but my mums helping as I can't lift my toddler thanks to the csection!

Oh Hun I had the same with Faith in the night so bungled up she could barely breathe it wasn't nice at all. Hope yr lo ok today and gets better soon.

It went well thanks all good and now she is 8lb 8oz so put on 7oz in a week. Forget what it is in grams!

At least you have help coming then. Are you just staying in today then? Have u been out yet? X

He settled eventually, he was definitely over tired he'd been awake from 8 until 2! Far too long for a newborn!

At his 7am feed he wouldn't wake back up to have the other boob, tried everything, so just put him down after only having one. Just been woken up by one massive rock hard leaking boob!

That's nice that your moms helping you, thats the big drawback with having a c section I suppose.

Faiths getting a right chunk now isn't she? Jake's nearly back at his birth weight.

Yes that is long!! :-o oh I don't do that with boobs I just do one each feed. I only offer the other if she's fussing but won't go on one I've been feeding with. What have u been told to do?? Worried I'm doing wrong thing now! :-/

She is putting on weight so hopefully all is ok anyway.

Been out with the pram again. Very productive shopping trip. Getting good at this now :)

I was told to offer both at each feed, he normally takes less from the second one though so I just start on that the next time. Health visitor asked me this morning if I offered him both too. Your boobs have probably got used to it now though so can probably satisfy her with just one.

I feel like I need 'L' plates when I go out with the pram. Keep banging into displays and things!

Oh I see. Well I only do that if she shows signs of wanting more :-/ might ask about that then.

Haha same. My back wheels are bigger and wider than front so I keep misjudging gaps and dragging things along that get caught on my back wheels. Oops. Hope social services don't judge on pram driving skills haha

Jake always wants more, but then he is the product of 2 people with big appetites! Haha

Think it's definitely a case of practice makes perfect with pram driving. I'm yet to have to put mine in or out of my boot, thats going to take loads of practice as its a snug fit!

That's an amazing weight gain Kaa, well done! And good work on the shopping trip!

I remember my first trip out with the pram, I had to YouTube how to fold it up and down! Now I'm getting used to a double! I agree with the L plates!

Today OH dropped us off at my mums on his way to work. Felt like I'd packed enough things for a 2 week trip away! So many nappies. But we had a lovely day, A was such a content little baby (jinxing myself by saying that I know) and my eldest was in great spirits. The past 2 weeks she's become a little jealous of me and hasn't wanted a cuddle :( just wanted to be with daddy. I know it's natural and temporary but still found it heartbreaking. Today though she was back to giving me cuddles! We went for a walk to the park and I pushed the buggy myself. Miraculously both girls napped at the same time for a good two hours so I napped too!

Is anyone else getting the baby blues? I'm hoping mine are coming to an end now but I feel weepy over anything!! Last timr I cried every day for 4 weeks, I really hope it's not that long this time.
Xx

Glad your little one is coming round to the new arrival a little more. :)

I had a massive breakdown the other night, not pooing plus lack of sleep and the thought of OH going back to work just tipped me over the edge. I felt like crying the other night too, it's always evenings when I feel worst because I dread what the night ahead might have planned!

Hopefully yours are just temporary hormone overload and they wont last anywhere near as long as last time.

Sounds like u had a great day in the end. Wow synchronised sleeping too amazing :)

I've gone past that point now I did have weird feelings and emotions around 3 weeks I think but fine since although she's not stopped screaming all evening so I had a little cry earlier as I just really need her to sleep so I can get a little break n try get my head down for a bit.

Let's hope she will sleep all night now. Doubt it. Not stopped feeding and screaming all day. And I thought the cluster feeding was over already ha not a chance. :(

I'm joining in ladies! Bella is 5 days old and has been a really settled baby this far (hope I haven't jinxed myself now).

Attempted our first family outing today other than picking lo up from school. Plan was to go to my mums for dinner after a little wander around a small shopping park. Picked lo up from school and he was very whiney but carried on. Got to the first shop to pick up dinner bits, Bella kicked off for milk. So oh carried on with lo and I went back to car to feed. Oh and lo came out very stressed but went to the next shop - didn't have what we needed. Lo came back to car complaining he felt ill. Talked to him about crying wolf as he constantly wants to avoid school at the moment. He carried on saying he had pains in his throat and tummy. By this time it was dark and drizzling. Bella had finished feeding so got lo and baby out of the car to stand in fresh air. At which point I am jammed between 2 cars holding the baby and lo throws up spectacularly! Oh nowhere to be seen trying to finish errands.

Needless to say came straight home. Lo down to bed he had asked for a snack so thought he was okay. Just came up for a quick nap before Bella wakes for her next feed and lo has thrown up everywhere again. I just want to cry

I've been in bed since 8.30 and had a grand total of 30 minutes sleep. Jake just wants food, food, food! Nightmare! It's at times like this I get horribly tempted with formula.

Not nice that your LO is sick, last thing you need with a newborn. Hopefully its nothing too bad.

Yay one more! Hehe.
Oh dear not a great experience then. Bet u felt awful for the crying wolf talk haha. Bless ur lo. Hope he is ok and better soon. I can't imagine having to look after another little person Faith takes up all my time.

She is also very clingy and unsettled at the min n last night wanted nothing but boob but was also really over tired as hadn't slept too much during the day. Was prepared for the night from hell. Woke up to feed her at quarter to 5 and realised that's the first time we been up since I put her down at quarter to midnight!! Elated! Just hope she will do this every night. Needless to say though that I am doubtful! Haha

Jake finally went to sleep at about 1.30 then woke up his usual 3-4 hourly. Most annoying thing was that we actually had to be up early this morning to take Shane's car to the garage. Hopefully he sleeps better tonight as Shane has to go back to work tomorrow :(

Oh no. Fingers crossed for a better night. Aw hopefully u be fine and can catch up on some sleep during the day if he sleeps a bit for u

Just updated the front page! Only 2 more babies to join us!

Hope your all doing well girls! :)

Thought I'd just give the thread a quick bump up. Ready for the last few mommies :)
