*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Applecrumble, I am the same with food. When TTC, especially before IVF last year, I was obsessed with eating healthily and getting the correct intake of nutrients. Now I am actually pregnant, I am very lazy! I still try to make sure I get enough protein, calcium and some fruit and veg but after that, most of my diet is full of stodge and sugar. Some days I fail miserably on the fruit and veg count.

The measurements might not mean anything - babies grow at different rates perhaps yours is just growing out before up for a bit? My stepdaughter went through a phase like that - as a child though. She's tall and slim now but for a while when she was little she was as wide as she was high! She didn't eat or do anything differently to her sister, it must just have been how she was growing.

Some babies are born really long and slim and others are really stocky. My parents apparently joked that I was really a duck as I had tiny legs but now I have to buy the longer length trousers.

Kaa, yes I am disappointed she won't consider going for me. I might take a stepdaughter along instead, but don't know if that's okay with her not being my birth partner? Why do you feel you won't gain anything from them? Do you have experience of birth or babies at all? I have none - have never changed a nappy, only briefly held babies when visiting.

Katie, did you have a nice day yesterday? A 21st without alcohol, eek! For a worthy cause though.

I had a mouthful of cava the other night. It was the most delicious thing in the world. DW had a bottle and I took one mouthful and held it in my mouth for as long as possible, breathing the flavour in. I know it is too small an amount to cause any risk to the baby so I'm not worried about doing it. It did make me want more, so I had to go to bed with a sherbert dip, haha!

I had a lovely day thank you NJP! Hubby & Myah spoilt me! Got my first birthday card with our boys name on too! Then Mother in law came round with my presents in the morning and surprised me with a birthday cake and lots of Reese's peanut butter chocolate! Can't get enough of the stuff atm! which I really wasn't expecting, unfortunately my dad was working away but he rang me wishing me a happy birthday and gave me such a fab birthday card! (I'm a huge michael buble fan so he got me a speaking card :D) and then we all went out for an all you can eat when it cooled down :-) I'm not much of a drinker anyway but I had some shandy haha!

Glad you had a good day. I don't like peanut butter but chocolate is a very good replacement for alcohol.

I've put on my new bras and they are awful. :( I decided to just go straight to nursing bras and found some in Mothercare that fit. I had to get a J cup because they don't do HH and my Hs are a bit small now. But they have no support in the back band, it's all on the shoulder straps. The clippy bits for nursing are right on my collarbone and the entire weight of J/HH cup boobs are hanging off there. I've only had this on for 30 minutes and already the pain is too uncomfortable. Will be back in underwires before I know it.

I've never actually tried peanut butter in a jar but i only like the Reese's peanut chocolate cups.. Kitkat isnt as nice!

I'm still using normal bras at the minute but had to go from a D to a G! & then no doubt they will drop back down when baby arrives!

Mine haven't gone up much really, which is good because there aren't many cup size left to go!

I'm thinking of going into town to go to Bravissimo and see what they've got. It's the price that sticks in my throat - £30 per bra. Think I'll try some on, get one and then see if I can get some cheaper online.

Is it still too hot to go shopping? I don't want sweaty boobs while trying on bras! :D

Yeah I usually go and get measured and try them then go somewhere else! The 2 bras I got from Asda were only £10 so can't complain at that :D

I made it to Bravissimo in the sweltering heat. She put me at 38HH. I bought one, will get some more online. The shame though, not only was I all clammy with the heat, but after she'd looked over my current bra situation and left to find some new ones, I realised my armpits were unshaven and remembered my hideously chipped nail varnish, haha! She was immaculate, of course, one of these women who have the perfect tan, perfect blonde hair and perfect make up. I was a sweaty, hair mess.

Apple, don't go completely sugar free you'll go mad! Find a small sweet treat to have at a certain time every day. Even when on a diet, I used to fit in two or three jaffa cakes or similar each day, so I had something nice to look forward to. I'm currentl addicted to flying saucers - about 70 calories a packet, so if you like sour things, perhaps a pack of those?

This is the one time I'm grateful for my tiny boobs. They've grown, but just to a nice manageable size :)
I don't thinj diet has that much to do with how the baby turns out. Its all genes. I have a friend who is very overweight and eats a terrible diet (mcdonalds nearly every day!) Her daughter is really tall and skinny just like her dad!

Ah now ladies there is a problem with getting measured then buying online as the way they are made is different so really its best to stick with where they measured u to ensure u get the better fit. Price is a joke but worth it at min for me.

I have little sisters and cousins who i have helped out a lot with in terms of nappies etc and my nieces and nephew all under age of 5 so not worried about that. No idea what birth will be like no experience but i dont want to know think the more i know and discuss the more i will freak out i am really really shitting myself n would rather just go through it as it happens without needing to know every detail. To be fair my friend is very honest a d already talked me through the exact pain and feelings she had haha. :-/

Getting fucked off with this heat now had to sleep on the couch last night and now i feel like shit!! :( piss off sun and bring some cool rain please!! Hubby filling up our 8ft pool in garden as we speak so i can just get in there in a bit haha.
Sorry for the sailors language this morning :-/ i blame the heat!!! Xx

I'm feeling the same with this weather kaa! Being a sweaty pregnant lady is not good! I'm constantly sticking to the sofas in our home and refuse to go out of the house :-/ xx

Kaa, it works okay for me, I buy the exact same bra all the time. I used to get it from Bravissimo but they stopped stocking it, then I started buying it cheaply online. The cheaper ones online fit the same as the ones from Bravissimo. Because I don't switch styles or brands, it works out fine. I just find whoever is having a sale/special offer on and get it from there.

The new bra is still deeply unflattering, but at least there is some back band support and an attempt at separation, unlike the horrible Mothercare one! It was like wearing a crop top, so horrible.

Slightly cooler today I think? I have a dull headache, think it's just the heat getting to me.

I'm sticking to the sofa too, it's leather which initially feels cool but seems to retain the heat more. I've taken to switching seats on the couch every now and then to avoid the built up heat under me. I would get up and do something but ugh, no motivation in this heat.

Oh thats good it worked for u hun! Just never has for me!! But then i got measured in m and s and not sure theyre that great 30 quid for 2 mat bras and the should last all the way through. Mine grew but seem to have remained pretty similar now so not sure if im right or not but they just so heavy and hang down more than anything really :-/

Eurgh leather couches cant think of anything worse in this girls :(
See i wouldnt mind if there was some relief from it like air con in the house but there is just no getting away from the heat and himidity!

Oh and apple i meant to say earlier i was given no measurements like that at my scan. My mw appt is tues thats 5 weeks since my anamoly scan and ive discussed results with no one. Im now worried they didnt check thouroughly and scared to have the baby incase theres a problem! :-/ xxxx

I have no motivation as well NJP!! Got a huge pile of clothing that needs to be washed.. It's overflowing so much that the dog is running round the garden with them! Our washing line is only small and it's too hot for the dryer :-/

Managed to get paint for the kids room and front room today as well now I just need some motivation to do it! Xx

I managed to work my way through the overflowing wash basket earlier in the week, it was great with the weather, stuff was drying outside in an hour. So now it's just minimal topups and with the kids on holiday, they have to take responsibility for their own, so no big job for me!

Kaa, I hated M&S bras when I got nearer the end of their size range. When I was an F then a G I found their bras to be horrible shaped. Mind, they were still better than the Royce maternity bra I now have. The lack of underwires is horrible. The woman said I could stay in underwires up until birth but none of the nursing clip down bras have underwires so I didn't want to waste money buying normal bras for another few weeks.

This morning's focus has been prams. Have no idea what to do. Do I want a travel system? Will I need to put the car seat onto a chassis or not? Do I want a carry cot? Do I want to buy cheap and new or expensive and secondhand? I am no further forward. I keep finding ones I like then reading reviews that say they break. I liked Mothercare Xpedior in the shop but the reviews aren't great. I like the Hauck Lacrosse but have read some dodgy reviews.

Wish I was rich and could just buy a really expensive one and not worry about how long it lasts!

Applecrumble - I feel for you as I know what it is like with no sugar. Hope your doing ok

I am finally out of hospital still in pain and non the wiser than when I went in a week ago, it could be scar tissue from surgery or gallstones hope to have a scan asap to find out but eating at the moment is a night mare as it gives me so much pain, but baby is doing ok so that is all that matters.

Oh hun im on mission pram this week too. We are going to go try some out and see what we think. I want the hauck colt travel system but will see what we think when we actually get to see the pram and try it out.

Toffeegirl thats good ur baby ok and u feeling better but what happened??? Xx

There not sure if it was a flare of colitis which I find hard to believe due to having no colon, or gallstones have to wait until Thursday for a scan to see if they can see anything. Pain is still there and I can't do anything which is driving me mad. As I said baby is ok so that is all that matters.
I got my pram last week I got a silver cross 3d traveller.

Oh the silver cross is really nice...i am going to hold out to see the new bugaboo bee3 out in september...
I did purchase a phil and ted lobster high chair today online...bit early for that i know, but it was on offer...and i love bargins.

Other recent random purchase was a 2way fix iso base for maxi cosi...it was £100 reduced from £175 at john lewis!

Toffeegirl..did you see my fb post the otherday? My oh is a big everton fan too! So there will be two new toffee fans due the same day :-)..ps glad is all ok with baby.
