News post for Labour signs for 37 weeks +++ ladies

Still no signs here, little one keeping nice and warm in there! Really would love them to come before I have to be induced but starting to feel bit unlikely now. Have been guzzling raspberry tea, scrubbing the floor, bouncing on my gym ball oh and fresh pineapple's are only £1 in tesco at the moment so we're getting through a couple of them a day too
Come on october babies!

Have had really bad back ache all night long - gonna try manual expression of the boobie area for fifteen minutes on each boob three times a day today also gonna walk down into town as it was the walk that seemed to dislodge a bit of plug yesterday... gettin mild crampings round the front - i really want a halloween baby now!

what days ur induction date for hun? i really hope your LO doesnt keep you waiting..

i heard you have to eat atleast 7 pineapples for it to even maybe help..
(i ate half, with wishful thinking lol)
my friend swears by clary sage oil, she said use it on your Due date.. and its worked 2wice for her, she had hr lil ones within 2days of due date..

also maybe try pressure points nipple stimualtion? i'm going to try these maybe today or in few days.. xxx

nipple stimulation... i havent got a pump using hands is soooooooo boring... i tired it for about 5mins and gave up, i feel very odd sat there doing it.. any advice on how to do it properly? xx

Well my midwife said to make a C shape with your hand and then starting from outside the areola squeeze towards the nipple.. she recommended using sommat like Lanisoh or Kammilosan to make it all a bit more comfortable.. yep its boring as hell!!! but she said its the most effective way to get the oxytocin flowing so gonna give that a serious go today x x x

thx hun, how long u do it for on each nipple?
and how often... so for eg.. 15mins on each side? every hour or so many times a day hehe..

last time i put abit of oil on (baby oil) just so it didnt hurt.. but i read doing it thru thin clothing is ok, i'd prob think more effective without tho? xx

hey girls im officially on maternity leave, i had a lovely day at work and everyone was so nice and i have so much new stuff. i think i just lasted so long as i really wanted my october pay packet!! but iv not been tired or uncomfortable, i think iv been very fortunate so it has been easy for me to keep working if im honest there were times wen i didnt think id be able to but generally it was ok.

i think iv been patient coz iv been working too, i guess now i will start to want our little daughter out. we have kept the sex a secret and i nearly cracked today because the girls thought they heard me say 'he' and so they think they 'know'!! i didnt tho. i guess now ill start counting down

charlotte i hope baby comes soon for u uv been so patient! and fly hope u get ur halloween baby, peanut hope u get some signs soon
apart from my odd contraction iv had no show or water leaks, i think i have a 2weeks wait yet-looking forward to seeing ur labout threads pop up!! xx

congrats on being on maternity leave u, really amazed how you've done it, you give "women there real name" hehe..

lil update from me... all yesterday had on/off tightenings, when last last they got to around 6mins and were gettin quite intense... that was from around 8-midnight, i thought i better grab some sleep, took while to nod off, but eventually did, and woke up and they've STOPPED!! i could cry lol... false labour or what lol xxx

MORNING FLY YOU EARLY BIRD!!

why are we having false falming labour!!
i'm gettin really ratty, and yesterday i saw a girl in john lewis i knew whilst buying changing bag and she said... i have my bets on tomorrow... and then she went "but saying that, you've not even dropped yet" GRRR dont pple know you dnt have to drop to go into flaming labour.. also hes 1/5ths engaged so does it matter???

fly.. i'm def going to try this nipple stimualtion malarki hehe... how long on each nipple, then rest for how long etc..?? then i'm going to run up and down stairs.. lol..

i lost loads of horrible muscus this morning, but me and OH had rudey cuddles yesterday "afternoon i'll have you know" lol... and i'm worried it was his "lil me" but i dnt think so? grrrr why cant they be too different colours lol xx

Right with the nipple thing...my midwife said to do for 15 minutes on each boob at least 3 times a day... now i managed 8 minutes yesterday morning and for the rest of the day gave my booby area a wide berth cos they were too bloomin sensitive But gave them another rub last night over clothes and that was a bit more bearable.

I ave decided if bubs has not made an appearance by monday am gonna go get me some reflexology!!

I think my little one is taking totally after me in all honesty.. see i was due on halloween 35 years ago but i kept my mummy waiting a whole week and then she got induced and my charlie was conceived on Halloween 97 so am really hoping that henry decides to make an appearance today.. would be most convenient.. charlie is away with his Dad tonight so would make things really nice n easy if little man did come today!!!

CUMMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Induction booked for next tuesday night (4th) - tried Clary Sage too, had a couple of baths in it and been sniffing it lots (yuk!) but still nowt, bubs just far too comfy!

i think my waters have just gone, going up the hospital soon no pain tho so expect ill be sent home. its a slow trickle tho so looks like im in for a 'damp' day!!!

girls my waters have definately gone thank god for tena pants im on my third pair!!
just got in apparently my cervix is soft and im having irrgeular contractions, but head is lower but still not fully engaged
been booked for induction 8am tomorrow morning if im not in labour by then, not sure ill get a pumpkin baby tho!!
my gerbil died this morning and its exactly a year today since we found out i had a mmc on my 12week scan so im a bit emotional today...know i should be boucing on the old ball but think ill be having a doze this afternoon

I'm still waiting! Not even a twinge Walked miles the last few days, scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floor, changed the bed, tried fresh pineapple, raspberry tea, curry, sex, clary sage oil massaged into bump but bubs is quite happy in there for now it seems! So wanted things to kick off naturally before Tuesday but induction seems to be looming for us - eek!

How's you Fly? Let's hope some of the labour dust hits us soon!!
