Can a cold bring on labour?

I'm really ill with this head cold. Can't sleep properly and feel dizzy when i stand up and everything hurts.

Last night before i went to bed i felt like i was stinging and had a dragging feeling really low down (is that what people mean by tightenings?? I have no idea) then i woke up through the night with strong period pains.

Could this be pre-labour or early labour? or do you think it might just be BH?
i'm sure i've heard people say that colds etc can bring labour on

oooh not sure about that one hun, tightenings are where you belly goes really tight and hard, you can tell them straight away.

Keep an eye on them and if they continue ring your midwife and speak to her.
