I've got a space hopper Anna but having gushed my way through an entire pack of maternity pads through the night there doesn't seem to be much coming out now with the coughing and i've been drinking plenty of fluids so me thinks twas probably my waters...gotta go up the unit in a min for a check over to see what's what am having tightenings but they only slightly uncomfortable and am not timing them - see what they say up the unit me thinks

How did you get on Sarah? Hope it was your waters & your nearly 10cm's dialated!!

well i went and laid down for best part of half an hour n then she did an internal with a speculum and a torch and said all she could see was lots of runny discharge but no pool of fluids... when i told my midwife and the other one who examined me how much fluid i had lost last night they were both pretty certain that my waters had gone but since i got up at 11am i haven't really lost a lot... they say it could be that my hind waters have gone and little man's head has now dropped right down and plugged the flow..gotta go back tomorrow at 11am for antenatal and am really hoping they might do a membrane sweep tomorrow...
she said that usually they wouldn't do one til I'm a week overdue but i think considering i haven't got synthetic induction as an option, they might just do it.. mum's comin with me tomorrow anyways - she started mutterin then about sending me into the big hospital to see the consultant to talk about a date for a c-section I cried all the way back into town after she said that cos i really wanna try for this vbac n it all seemed really unfair n then i felt really shit - like my body isn't cut out for doing childbirth the natural way - n how shit n cruel nature is n why is everyone else goin into labour on their own - oh i was in a right state... but mum n dad was on their way back from visitin my grandma in the big hospital so they came and picked me up from town and brought me home.. my grandma has fallen into a very deep sleep now and will pass away at any time.. its all gettin too much to handle emotionally and i feel so drained really wanted my grandma to see her second great grandchild before she goes and the way things are goin i don't think its gonna happen...tryin to get my head round it all n stop feelin sorry for meself

Got my Sweep at 9:20am tomorrow & i'm hoping & they can do it. Had quite a few painful BH's today so fingers crossed!

Good luck with your sweeps . Its my due date today and i have had a show over the last couple of days but think i will go over. I did with my dd and was induced at 7 days over.

yayy congratulations lea

i didn't have a sweep today cos they unit was really buzy and the midwife didn't have the time but am booked in for one tomorrow and after that sunday if tomorrow doesn't work n then if it don't work on sunday i booked in for an appointment with the consultant for another sweep and to discuss my options a week tomoorrow when i will be 12 days overdue feelin lots happier today - am measuring about 41/42 weeks now n the midwife said the baby feels long she could only feel 2/5ths and showed me on a model what that means and he's practically engaged... just the back of his neck really that she can feel now she said "he's ready to be born now" feelin loads more positive...

Really hope you got on ok Pie and has anyone heard from peanut?

Brief update from me: lost a load more plug over night and its still coming away - having irregular but frequent contractions - midwife tried to do a sweep just now but my cervix still not quite ripe enough - lazy little tinker!!!! so we ave popped home briefly then we gonna have a walk down into town, have a big fry up - gonna drag OH round alllllllll the shops in the name of gravity n then see what happens...

hahaha you're right - takes after his mum thats why i was due on halloween and kept my mum waiting a whole week and then she had to be induced cos i just wasn't havin it ohhhhh no - think mum had to have two lots of the gel then they whacked her on the drip and i was born just a few hours later I keep tellin Henry he's a very good boy and to do it again and again when i can feel his head on my cervix and am doubled over lol right me hungry - time for a walk me thinks x x x
