**May Mummies**

Oh yes! He’s called Morgan Peter. Sorry I can’t believe I forgot to write his name!! it’s all just such a whirlwind.

I’m completely smitten, I can’t believe it took us nearly 3 years to get to this point little man but looking at you baby boy and it was all worth it and all of the heartache just melts away.

Aww Congrats :) any names?
Look forward to more pics.
Was i really the only one out of us 4 to have a girl?

I know it’s crazy! I always suspected I was having a boy and often referred to the bump as he. It was just amazing when my dh told me after the birth who he was. X

@SugaryIris omg this is amazing, I just knew you'd go into labour on your own. I'm so happy that the hypnobirthing worked for you, and no pain relief, you absolute legend! Enjoy every single second, he is utterly perfect <3

@SugaryIris - OMG I actually have tears. Morgan is absolutely gorgeous and the name just suits him so much <3
You are amazing doing all of that without any kind of drug. Actually you’re not amazing you are a real life superwoman!!! You should be so proud of yourself.

Now I need you to give me all the tips on hypnobirthing please!!!

Congratulations Mummy <3 xxxxx

Congratulations. He is beautiful. So glad labour went well. I knew you'd go on your own in the end!

@SugaryIris i love the name :)
How are you finding feeding? I only made 50% of the food she needed today :(
We should do a thread or fbook group or similar to keep up to date!

2 random.pics of baby x
The blue cardigan is 0-3mth size!! Oo :) X

Shes gained 40g but still well below birth weight. Getting frustrated now as they wont discharge me from midwife care till shes at birth weight.

I just think shes so pretty. Cant believe shes 50% me considering!!

She’s such a cutie Sophie. That blue cardigan on her is adorable :rotfl:
Does she still not have a name? X

@SugaryIris Morgan is a fab name, its on our list of girl names. Might have to add it to the boy list too hehe. :) x

@soffphie My daughter took 3 weeks to get back to birth weight. Its frustrating having to get them weighed every single day... But don't stress, she'll get there. Milk takes 6 weeks to come in properly so don't be too disheartened if you're not making enough yet - every drop she gets is amazing! x

@Jetina Good Luck pls keep us updated
@SugaryIris hows feeding going?
@chattychar1990 baby no name is her name at the moment :( gotta get butt in gear and name her!
@WinterWolf hopefully 3 weeks is the max time it takes her. So fed up of it.

I have pretty bad toothpain now from where my piece of gum is missing between teeth. Called dentist about it yesterday they wont see me. Im now wondering if i im not producing enough milk as im not eating/drinking enough? 2am and stomach wont stop gurgling :(
Anyone know if Panmol is ok to take? Im thinking i may call hospital and say about this now? Not sure if ill be considered as being OTT..?

yes paracetamol is fine to take, that sounds pretty awful surely the dentist can see you about that as an emergency case??!

@soffphie I barely drank/ate anything for 6wks post-partum and I had a pretty low supply. The more you eat/drink, the more milk you'll make. Paracetamol is safe x

feeding is not going well at all, he hasn’t been able to latch once and it’s been 24hours, he’s full of mucus from the fast delivery and apparently I have very short flat/inverted nipples so it goes in when he tries to latch and doesn’t reach the roof of his mouth, I’m now hand expressing every 3 hours and I’m filling the 1ml syringe. I’m still in the hospital because of it and waiting to see the feeding specialist. At this point I’m really considering formula, all the tips and tricks to get the nipple out aren’t working and it’s really stressful and taking the enjoyment out of being a new mum. I just want to be home with dh xx

I totally get where you are coming from. Have you let them do it for you so to speak like massage nipple to get some out..? they did this for me to get it started as i also did some syringe expressing. id say to them about the pump if its getting too much as well.
latching is hard for them. they said to me its cause baby is premature/lazy and so wasnt doing it properly. she sort of does latch now tho and other day did 20 mins worth on boobie which was amazing.
Im hitting a brickwall again as well tho as im not eating/drinking adequately so im ganna lose my supply soon. :( ive had a bad morning of expressing. im so angry tbh, because basically because i wont be seen by a dentist im now (imo) risking being able to breast feed long term.

@soffphie Try taking fenugreek supplements, they boosted my supply loads! Water is more helpful than food for making milk so drink drink drink even if you can't eat much. :)

@SugaryIris I'm sorry you're having latch issues, hopefully the experts can figure out a way to get him on there. Would nipple shields help ?

tried shields this morning, didn’t help as I don’t have enough milk yet to work. I just keep crying in the hospital, I think I’m ready to give up and move on to formula

We’ve decided we will formula feed, he’s so much happier already, it’s not what I imagined I would do in motherhood but my pregnancy and birth went perfectly to plan and I guess I can’t have it all! He’s had a lot of colostrum hand expressed so at least he had some of the magic gold to start
