**May Mummies**

hows everyone doing? any news?

We've been thinking a bit about names but nothing too serious just random suggestions. people are telling me to get my thinking caps on and hurry up, which i think is daft cause had we not known gender we wouldnt know what we was even looking at & im kinda adement that there will be a name that we either just keep calling her by accident or just naturally suits her x

Heres our small list so far tho... some may be a middle name over a first name :) Im not really sure what i like/dont like. i dont call her anything in particular now if anything we call her Girl lol. (so well thought out)

Anna
Bow
Iris
Aerith
Millie
Kristen
Christine
Darcie

My mum suggested Millie :) my hubby hates it cause basically he knows i used to have a horse called Millie so hes like your naming it a horse name (whatever lol) :)
And everyone but me is against Darcie, think Darcie sounds so posh :) haha.

I like Anna, Iris, Millie and Christine. :)

Darcie I'm just not a fan of.

Kristen has too much of an American feel about it these days so I'd find that off putting.

Bow I don't view as a name (unless it's the boy's name Beau). Seems more of a nickname to me. You could nickname an Iris as Bow because of the meaning for example.

Aerith was a made up name for Final Fantasy. There are some similar Welsh names which are pretty though like Aeronwen (eye-RON-wen) or Aerona (eye-ROH-na) :)

You’re brave @soffphie asking people’s opinion on names, everyone will have lots of very different opinions so I kept our list of names to ourselves, no one will say anything either way once it’s born.

I’m not so good, she on Thursday, no signs of anything yet and I just found out that the hospital will make your birthing partner stay in the car until you are 6cm... I’m hypnobirthing and he is an essential part of that, i can’t really do it at the hospital on my own as every time the midwife talks to me she will pull me out of my birthing zone (dh is supposed to deal with mws etc as much as poss to prevent this)... I’m just going to have to try to stay at home for as long as possible but now I’m a bit scared of having to do it on my own

Agree completely. I refused to share our name choices as everyone has an opinion and ultimately only mine and my husband's matters! Very brave to ask for opinions.

Although I didn't have a straightforward labour hopefully I can reassure you a little. I started off hypnobirthing and managed at home til 5cm and was in established labour when I got to the hospital. I would have carried on longer if I hadn't had complications and was asked to go in. Don't underestimate what you can do! Also I know someone who arrived at the hospital at 10cm after hypnobirthing. My hypnobirthing experience would have been so much different if I hadn't had complications and I absolutely would try again if I had another.

thanks, I am looking forward to trying it and I really hope I can last as long as possible at home because of it x

Oooooh I love Aerith!! I used to be such a gaming addict, I've had Lara on both of my girl's names list purely because of Lara Croft lol but the oh was against it.

There is site which helped me pick though; where you can see the name in sentences, together with your surname. Will try to find it for you!x

Hi ladies

Back in hospital again since yesterday. With me this time. I just didn't feel right, had a constant headache ans just felt funny. Took my blood pressure ans it was 160/105.

Midwife came round checked it, no protein in my wee. Was sent to hosp yesterday evening. Still in now. They cant find anything obviously wrong with me apart from the blood pressure. Started me on meds around lunch time so now have to stay in for another 24 hours to make sure it doesnt drop to low.
LO has come with me as im breastfeeding, he is completely oblivious.

Thoroughly fed up now. Having bad anxiety now everytime they take my blood pressure as I'm worried about not being able to go home tomorrow. I am absolutely sick of hospitals now. I just want to be at home xx

Im so sorry to hear that x I hate hospitals as well so completely get you. Im finding the BP meds im on seem to actually be helping now so if you are on BP meds it will lower it for sure, try and not get anxious about having it taken - i knoooow so much easier said then done etc. Your doing such a great job - not long till you can be free and out of the hospital long term!

@soffphie I love love love the name Aerith. I'm not a gamer at all so have never heard of it. Who cares where a name has come from if you like it, they were all made up at one point. :)

2 days till I’m due and no sign of baby appearing just yet. DH would really like them to arrive this weekend if not before as it’s a bank holiday. I’ve given the baby their orders but I doubt they’ll listen

I’m so excited for you. I cant wait to hear that you have your bundle of joy in your arms <3 xx
