Fingers crossed for good results on Friday Summertime. Glad to hear that your symptoms have eased!

How's everyone feeling at the mo sickness wise? I can honestly say today has been my worst day so far, I'm 12+5 but there's no let up yet. It's awful.

Funny you say that Dee, I thought I was out of the woods and was just saying last week how much better I was feeling...........then low in behold I have been engulfed with extreme tiredness these last few days (slept 11 hours last night!)and almost vomited on my way to work this morning. Feeling rotten at the moment, I spoke too soon! 12 + 6 today.

I had a couple of days last week where I thought things were improving but unfortunately not. I have been vomiting more in the last 2 days than ever. Spent the whole of my scan concentrating on my breathing to try to take my mind off it, i would be mortified if I was sick infront of anyone Luckily I managed to avoid it until the journey home whilst in my husbands car

With my son I was sick until 18 weeks, I was hoping this time wouldn't be so bad!

Fingers crossed things will ease off for both of us soon!

I feel better on the whole but I still have the odd day or afternoon when have to keep running to the loo and just want to nap for hours but compared to feeling constantly rough its amazing!

Definitely feeling better as managed to get out jogging twice on my lunch break which is making me feel 'normal' again.

So tomorrow is me booking in - really excited to I know it's going to be a big anti climax of just answering loads of questions but will feel like something pregnancy related is 'happening'! If it's the same as my first pregnancy won't get my scan letter through for at least a week.

I got on my hols at 13 + 3 so if it's not before then I'm going to have to have a private scan as would like the screening sooner rather than later and definitely want to see bubba before my hol as we are going with family so I'll be able to tell them whilst we are away.

It's weird my initial bloating has gone down now so back to just looking a bit podgy rather than 5 months pregnant!

Fingers crossed the sickness eases off you ladies soon and I'll update tomorrow after my midwife.

Hi ladies, been a bit vacant the last few days. I've been getting home from work, sorting my daughter out and then going to bed. Been feeling so sick and exhausted

Welcome to the group Charlotte hope the uti is feeling better.

Dee your scan picture is amazing, how exciting.

Glad you're feeling better Summertime, I'm looking forward for the bloat going down too.

Yes I have my booking in apt tomorrow at 9, really hoping I get my scan through quickly as like I've mentioned before, I really want to give Violet the picture for her birthday . I also want to go away for a cheeky caravan holiday on 18th so be nice to book that and get excited about a nice little holiday for us all.

Hope everyone is doing ok, can't believe some of you will be heading in to Tri 2 soon. And I'm sure we'll be seeing a May thread pop up too soon.

Haylian did you get a scan date this morning?

Charlotte I have told everyone now I am pregnant. I am 13 weeks today so feels 'safe' enough to let everyone know. Would have held off a bit longer if it wasn't for my tummy getting more prominent by the day. I havent done a Facebook announcement or anything like that though, I am bit reserved for that kind of thing!

Only 7 weeks until 20 week scan then half way!!!!

Just back from booking in - it's starting to feel more real now!!! Midwife is going to book my scan today and try to get it before my hol so should get letter within a week!

Feels like information overload! Because of my high bloood pressure last time I need to make another gp apppoontment to get aspirin to reduce risk and Im going to be seeing a consultant to discuss birth options as had bad time with forceps and recovery from stitches with my son.

Consultant appointment going to be after my hol so won't. be at same time as my scan.

What I did find bit weird was having to do the carbon dioxide test or whatever it is, feels like they are checking we aren't lying about not smoking. Whole stack of leaflets to read.

Decided I'm going to tell my boss today as been out for 2.5 hrs as running 30 mins late and had to get there and back to office and if I tell him won't have to make it up as get reasonable time for antenatal.

L&P that must be lovely telling people I can imagine everyone is thrilled especially after the tough time you had with your mum.

Haylian - how was your booking in? Did you get a date for your scan at the appointment?

Hi ladies, booking in was all good. I have to wait for a letter for my appointment so no date yet .
She does want me to see a Dr about my BP as it was slightly raised. But she was very nice and hopefully I'll see the same one this time round as last time I hardly ever saw the same person!
Masses of paperwork to read through so that'll keep me busy later.

Glad the appointments went well ladies!

I've told people in the past few days - like L&P, feels safe now I'm in 13th week and post-scan! Mum was not at all surprised but it feels really good to have let people know, I'm surprised how much of a difference it has made. I think with that and the scan, I'm now genuinely excited and confident about the whole thing. It makes it feel much more real being able to talk about it too.

I've told a few people, but hardly anyone really. Only my mum and sister know in my family, my best friend and my boss.
Been trying to come up with ways to announce tonight but I'm coming up blank.
I'd like to incorporate Violet in some way but I want it to be really original. I'm getting nowhere fast!

Glad your appointments went well. Not too long and you will receive a letter about the scan.

I have told my family but not other people yet. A few colleagues told me they already knew cause I look bigger than before. Well a few colleagues does not mean everyone . Haven't told my bosses yet. Will do it a bit later.

Told my boss, wish I'd done it sooner really as he's really supportive and said fine to work from home anytime if not feeling 100% and that don't need to worry about time for appointments etc.

Also I saw my neighbour at the doctors who's got a 3 month old and she saw me coming out from the midwife room! So safe to say she knows. Also let slip to a couple of other people in the last week. Bit more relaxed about people knowing this time round as I think I'd be quite open if something were to happen.

Will be eagerly checking the mail for my letter tomorrow it most likely be next week.

Haylian - I love the name Violet that was my top name last time for.a girl but had a little boy! It's really hard to think of anything original but I love the announcements with the older sibling holding the scan pic - especially if you take it just after you tell her and get a good reaction! How old is your daughter? My son is 3.5 and been asking for a while f he can have a brother and if we can buy one from the shop so pretty sure he's going to be happy! The only thing is he does t understand time very well so will expect a sibling immendiately! Going to tell him the day we have scan.

Morning girls,
So sorry for being so rubbish at posting these last two weeks. I've just been absolutely shattered and not sleeping well at all at night. The feeling sick feeling has also come back so just struggling really. I'm 12 weeks today so was hoping it would go. We have our Harmony results tomorrow and a private 12 week scan so fingers crossed all is ok. Then we go away for the weekend which will be nice. Hope you girls are ok too xx

PS I'm dreading telling one of my good friends that I'm pregnant as she's had two failed IVF attempts and I know my news will really upset her

ST it's great to hear that your boss is being supportive. Takes the pressure off you a bit.

I had pretty much told all close family and friends by the time I was 10 weeks. As, like you ST, if anything were to happen I would be open about it.

Ljd401 Sorry to hear that you're still feeling rubbish. I'm 13+1 and the sickness has been worse than ever this week so can totally sympathise. Best of luck with your results and scan tomorrow, please let us know how you get on xx

I have the same thing as my brother and wife are having fertility problems, they have been trying for #2 for 5 years and I know my sister in law is down about it so I do feel guilty that I'm pregnant again and she isn't but I know they will be happy for us. I think its only natural to feel jealous when your ttc and other people announce and it smust be so much harder if long term trying.

My boss in on leave next week so I'm looking forward to a less demanding week hours wise. my energy has returned a bit but find in the evenings once my son is in bed @ 7.30 I'm going to bed aswell!

I'm 12 weeks today girls. A day off for me. Enjoying sunshine. Can't stop eating watermelon. Constantly craving it ha ha.
