## March 2018 Mummies Tri 1 Thread ##

Awww lovely pic Merry - you can really believe it's 'real' now! And of course you can stay :-)

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Dee! It's so lovely seeing these scan pics can't wait until it's my turn!

Bit of drama here as my husband has been diagnosed with shingles and I've never had chicken pox so have to go for an urgent blood test in the morning to see if I'm immune. Also got my booking in on Thursday and accunpuncture on Wednesday - feel a bit guilty about all the appointments, haven't told my boss yet so it's getting a bit awkward so wondering if I should just tell him.

Our company policy says to try to arrange pregnancy related appointments at the start of end of the day but I don't really get any say over when the appointments are so feel obliged to make up the time until I announce it.

Feel a lot better now so like Merry it's hard to believe there is anything in my belly other than all the buttery toast I have been eating!

Back from my scan! So relieved, it was amazing if slightly surreal to see baby wriggling around!

S/he is showing the potential to be awkward though - was fast asleep on its back in such a way that the sonographer couldn't get any decent measurements or measure the nuchal fold. I was sent off for a walk to jiggle it around a bit, so actually had two scans today :) On the second attempt baby had flipped over but was in an equally awkward position. She managed to get a dating measurement in the end but did say it could still be out by a few days, and there was no way she could get the neck measurement.

I don't care, I saw the heartbeat and lots of wriggling and stretching. Amazing that all that is going on inside me when I'm completely unaware!

Trying to put a pic up...

On the nuchal measurement I assumed you would get rescanned if they couldn't get the measurement?!

Aww that's lovely Merry! So glad it went well!

Well she tried a second time today, but other than that... She said there's the chance to do a test for Down's in the second tri, but that doesn't include the other two they check for at 12 weeks. To be honest I didn't actually mind, we wouldn't have gone for an invasive test even if it had come back high risk. Just happy to see it 🙂

Seen my little jelly bean tonight :-) all is well and he said it all looks like a healthy pregnancy. Saw the little beating heart which was just so nice! Unfortunately they're in the process of moving offices so couldn't print me anything off :( I was pretty gutted about that. But most importantly all was fine. Got my first midwife apt on Thursday too, it's all happening!

That's great news Haylian! Shame about the pic but the important thing is you know your little bean is doing well.

I've got my midwife on Thursday aswell can't wait. My hubby has been banished to the spare room to minimise the shingle risk for me. Nice having the king size bed all to myself :-)

I've just read back and seen the post, must have missed it earlier!
It's never simple is it haha, enjoy that bed :)

Fab to read all about peoples scans!

I have had a worrying 24 hours, yesterday morning when wiping at the loo I had brown spotting/discharge. It continued throughout the day but only visable when wiping. No pain or cramping at all thankfully. It was still there slightly when I went to the loo this morning again so made an appt with my GP and got seen as soon as 11am. He checked me with a doppler and managed to find the 'placenta flow' which sorted of sounded like the heartbeat? Either way he said all sounded absolutely fine and not to panic. He said as long as discharge didnt burn or smell or wasn't heavy that it could be a number of reasons, one being that around the 12 week mark the placenta is almost fully formed and can cause it. He said as long as I wasn't experiencing any pain or cramps either then to try and relax.

I do feel relived a little and glad everything appears to be ok, but still trying to not worry so much! x

Hey girls I would like to join you in March 18 group if thats ok. My baby is due on 7th March. Thank you

Summertime - Hope the chicken pox test went ok. Otherwise I guess husband will be banished for a few days

Love and peace - glad everything is ok. Must be scary, I'm feeling lucky I haven't had any sporting as I think I'd really panic.

Can anyone answer a silly question? Do I need to book my next appointment with the midwife (15-16 weeks) or will it be booked in automatically, now I'm in the system? Just realised that it's not very far away (13 weeks today!) and it took that long to get my booking appointment so don't want to leave it too long if it's up to me!

So I had my 12 week scan today. All went well, baby is as it should be at this stage. It was very wriggly, waving arms and legs around and arching its back!! Was just amazing to see it all going on inside but couldn't feel a thing! It was absolutely beautiful, gorgeous little button nose ❤️

I was dated 12+5 so my due date has changed to the 1st of march. Although as I'm having an elective c-section it will actually be the end of Feb but would love to stay with you girls here in march mummies as that's when my actual due date is 😃

I have attempted to add a scan pic....

Aww lovely scan pic!!! I am getting so excited for ours seeing all the pics on the thread, not long and you early March Mummies will be in T2! I will amend your date to the 1st!

Had blood test today and will get results on Friday.

All my symptoms have disappeared apart from my bulging tummy! Won't feel reassured though until see the scan, booking in on Thirsday so should get scan date letter next week :-)

And on that note who fancies starting the T2 thread?? Think Merry, L&P and Dee have one more week in T1? If classing T2 as starting on 14+0

Thank you girls for adding me. :)

Awesome scan picture Dee!

My scan is in 2 weeks. I had one yesterday just to be safe cause Uti was causing all that cramping. Its such a nice feeling to see the baby. :)

Fingers crossed for good results on Friday Summertime. Glad to hear that your symptoms have eased!

How's everyone feeling at the mo sickness wise? I can honestly say today has been my worst day so far, I'm 12+5 but there's no let up yet. It's awful.
