## March 2018 Mummies Tri 1 Thread ##

Oh Dee I was like that last time, it's so tiring! Fingers crossed it passes for you soon x

I read what you said about having it for the whole of your last pregnancy, that must have been awful. I had daily vomiting until I was 18 weeks with my son, just hoping it's not going to last so long this time.
Are you not having any sickness in this pregnancy yet? X

Yeah it was a real struggle last time and it's been one of my biggest fears about being pregnant again, I honestly think it's party why we've waited so long to go again.
I've had some nausea in the evenings so far but no actual sickness. I was 7 weeks last time and I'm just 6 now so time will tell. A lot of symptoms present between weeks 6-8 so I guess I'll know soon enough if I'll get it again.

Sorry to hear about your nausea Dee, I'm having waves of it but in comparison its not that bad. I constantly feel like I need to eat stodgy food to settle my stomach - just hard a bowl of chips and cheese from canteen and been having toast the last few evening for dinner, I'm eating like my student days!

Boob soreness has gone down though although they still look massive! Definitely got bloating on my stomach in the evenings - no stomach muscle at all after my first so expecting to show quite early.

Only just over 2 weeks until my midwife appointment, not getting seen until 10+ weeks and found out at 4 week so feels like a long wait but on the upside my scan will come around quickly. Still struggling to believe I'm pregnant but stopped doing tests as just a waste of money so just look at pics of my previous ones when I have a moment of wondering if I imagined whole thing!

Agreed with hubby we weren't going to tell anyone but went out with a close friend for dinner yesterday and ended up blurting it out and she was so excited for me it was really lovely. I would definitely tell her is something went wrong so felt quite comfrtable with her knowing. Only told my mum other than that. With my first I had to go on a hen party to Magaluf when I was 7 weeks so everyone there knew and then with the wedding and not drinking we just decided to tell out friends.

Is everyone else keeping it quiet or sharing with friends and family? I'm glad I told my friend last night as she offered to have my son anytime at the weekend if I'm not feeling great and my hubby is playing football so it's nice to have support.

I had an early scan with my first pregnancy and it certainly eased my mind, I've booked one today for this pregnancy too. 21st Aug can't come fast enough!

How exciting, that will soon come around! Looking forward to seeing some scan pics on the thread soon. how many weeks will you be by then? x

Yeah 2 weeks on Monday, I'm so nervous! I'll be nearly 9 weeks.

I haven't told many people, my mum and sister, my close friend and my boss. Hubby has told his boss too as he was desperate to tell someone and she's a friend of his :).
I took a test today for the first time since I found out, it's safe to say my levels are going in the right direction haha it came up instantly and was just as dark as the other line!

Hey girls, sorry for being quiet. Had my booking ok appointment Wednesday. Then have an early scan with Harmony test booked for next Saturday. Will be 10 weeks by then.
Suffering soooo badly with heartburn! It's just awful, particularly in the evenings. Still feeling sick throughout the day too. Roll on tri 2 when hopefully we will all be feeling better.
We haven't told anyone yet but will tell my parents after the early scan. Will also tell my best friend then too. Harr people not knowing xx

Hi ladies, I'm 8 weeks today.

so I was pretty much feeling the same. I've been off work for a week because I was so nauseous and tired.

However in the last 2 days it's seemed to have eased and I feel less so. No appetite really but the usual sore boobs and a bit tired.

I got a little worried because it says that if you loose pregnancy symptoms it could be a sign of an early miscarriage but then when I read baby centre it says don't worry as these symptoms can come and go. And there are women out there where it came back with vengeance around the 12 week mark.

I'm worrying a little but trying to keep it under control and wondered if anyone has had a similar experience?

Good afternoon all, I havent been on much this week as ive been really busy taking my son to various baby groups as part of the summer of fun program running in my area, I`am making new friends & even enroling to learn baby sign language so that i`ll be able to teach my son so that he`ll be able to communicate with his friend as they grow up as his friend is deaf & his mum wants us all to learn it so her son doesnt become isolated growing up, I`am more than happy to help as its something you really dont think about when you are pregnant, But could happen to anybody.

I went for my booking in appointment yesterday i was there over 2.5hrs as they were short of staff, But i did all the paperwork & i`am having all the screen tests done.

My scan is booked in for when i`am 12 weeks 6 days on the 30th August i`am so excited :-) X

Hope that everybody is having a great saturday

I'm feeling pretty terrible this weekend feel so exhausted and nausea seems constant. Luckily we have a quiet weekend so been able to lie on the sofa most of the day but away next 2 weekends so hopefully will pass again.

How is everyone else feeling??

Hard to keep a track but sounds like going to be some August scans coming up, both early and 12 weekend, wonder if we will have any March Mummy twins??!

Mum2be, I really don't think you can read into it, I think you said you have had 2 scans already and everything seems fine? How many weeks u til your 12w scan? If you are worried would speak to midwife x

Hi Ljd, just curious if you are having this at 10 weeks are you still having the NHS scan at 10 weeks? I've been reading up o. Harmony test and looks like going to. E offered by NHS from sometime in 2018. X

I had a dream I was having twins! God help me if I am, they don't run in my family so very very very little chance!
I've been getting more nauseous in the evenings and just general fatigue, oh and major sore boobs!

It's red hot today too which isn't helping I do t think, thank goodness for AC.

Hopefully we'll be seeing some scan pics soon, how exciting!

Hey ladies.
Where's everyone from? I'm from London but now live in Manchester

Sorry to hear a few of you are feeling the nausea now. I hated it, but have been pretty much clear of it for a week now! Was vaguely concerned that it only lasted a couple of weeks, but I've still got the tiredness, needing to eat, sore nipples etc so don't think I need to worry. It is a relief to feel more normal though, so hang on in there - I was worst between 6-8 weeks!

I live in West Yorkshire, near Skipton.

Hi ladies,
I hope everyone is doing ok. My nausea is starting to subside, which is great! I went for a scan yesterday and was so relieved to see baby. Heartbeat was 165 and I'm measuring a day behind what the internet says! So I'm going to stick with my original due date. I have my booking in appointment on Tuesday and will find out the date of my nhs scan then. Looking forward to chatting for the next 7 or so months with everyone.

Hi Merry, yeah mine only kicked in at 6 weeks and 8 tomorrow so fingers crossed! It's not so bad at the weekend but difficult at work in the mornings as can't concentrate on anything!

Hey summertime. Yes still having the 12 week NHS one. My midwife told me that our hospital offers the Harmony on the NHS now but hubby wants to go private. It's £400 and you get the viability scan, Harminy test plus Nuchal scan.
How are all you girls doing? My nausea seems better than it was but I'm totally off food. Just don't fancy anything these days xx

Summertime, you can't see much at all! But we were shown the heartbeat and I was happy with that. I was measuring 7+5 and was 7+6.

I'm considering getting the harmony test as well, it's just the cost that's putting me off just now! When are you having it, ljd?
