Ladies doing their first cycle of IUI or IVF.

Best of luck ladies for this who are starting their cycle.
Gem are you doing a natural FET or a medicated one?

I am crossing every single thing I have to cross for you well deserving ladies xxxx

Hey ladies sorry I have been AWOL, I've had a really busy few weeks.
We still haven't got round to starting our last iui cycle but I'm booked in for my blood test tomorrow so once that's done we can get started. I'm in two minds though as would you believe it, since we finished iui I've had two periods all on my own! It's highly unusual and I normally get prescribed northisterone to bring it on but my body seems to be behaving! My first natural cycle was 47 days and my second was 41. Big, biiiiig difference from before when it was between 70-100+ days! So I'm now on my third natural cycle and I'm just feeling very chilled out and whatever happens whether it's iui or natural, I finally feel okay with it.

Tapatalk is being an arse so I can't see like the last 3 pages so I'm hoping everyone's doing ok.

Hi everyone hope ur all well. Im doing a medicated fet, she called today to say the nxt batch of 3 survived and were excellent so fingers crossed transfering 2 tommoz. They will be day 4 embryos by then. Im just taking each thing at a time as I know theres so many hurdles but up to now its all good x

Had 2 4 day embryos transferred today all top quality, but obviously anything can happen so just waiting came now x

That's great Gemma! What drugs do you take for the frozen cycle?
All the best of luck for this one. X x

Had 2 scans and blood tests so far & I've got 20 follicles, 5 are 10mm or bigger so far, estradiol levels are good and egg collection will be Monday or Wednesday next week! All going well so we will see! It was the embryo quality that let us down last time so have no idea if it will be better this time.

Hi all, I hope you're all doing well, best of luck wherever you are in your cycle.

Hope you don't mind me joining you - I've not been on the forum for a while as we've kind of been in limbo. We're now waiting to start IVF. I've been given norethisterone to start taking next Friday, stopping on the 19th with our first scan scheduled for the 24th October. So many emotions running right now but really ready to get started.

My biggest fear is the needles so my husband is going to be doing the injections for me! We don't know what dose of everything we'll be on yet - there was so much to take in at our appt the nurse said we'd sort it all closer to the time. Unfortunately we have 100 miles to travel for every appointment/scan because they don't do IVF at our own hospital so I'm hoping that's not going to cause too much stress.

Anyway, that's where we're at - If anyone has any tips at all, they will be gratefully received!

xx

Thanks for the support everyone, blueflower on a med fet I did 7 days of cetrotide injections then its 2 estrogen patches every 3rd day and progesterone suppositories. Its alot easier than a fresh cycle. And eclairef the injections really arnt bad I think we all get worried at first, if its the pen u honestly dont feel a think... and if its not just watch a few yoytube videos so your confident but its nothing more than a little pinch. Hope all gies well nxt week blueflower lets hope we can get some oct bfps x

I had a fear of needles but I'm much better now I've got used to them! My hubby does them and is an absolute star! Its almost fun mixing up the drugs together each evening and then we have a chocolate after the injections as a reward! 100 miles is a long way to go for appointments, especially the scans every other day. Do you have to take annual leave?Keep us updated!

Good luck Gemma! X

Glad the FET went well for you. I'll be thinking about you and sending lots of Positives thoughts for those embryos to get comfy where they belong.
Xx

Thanks Gemma, I never thought to look at youtube videos but will give that a go! Good luck to you.

Blueflower, I like the idea of a treat after - my husband is a chocolate fiend so I'm sure he'd be delighted with that :)
Yeah, the travelling is going to be a bit of a nightmare. The nurse at the clinic suggested getting my gp to sign me off - I spoke with my gp last night and he agreed that it's probably best so I can go through anytime without having to explain to my work. I've never been signed off before but if it reduces stress during the whole process then I guess that can only be a good thing!

xx

They gave me DVDs to show you how to do the injections as well! And in the massive box of drugs there should be picture instructions! I was daunted by all the mixing and syringing and amounts but we picked it up straight away! You'll be fine!

That was the last time we'll have to do 3 injections in one evening hopefully! Just the trigger shots to do now.
How is everyone?

Yay not long now blueflower. Im ok im 5dp4dt to be honest im sure in my 'bfp' cycle id felt more symptoms than this apart from a sore throat and occasionally cramps not felt much yet. But I suppose implementation might still be happening and may be too early for symptoms we shall see x

Fingers crossed!

Spoke too soon! We have to do 2 trigger shots AND the Buserelin still!

Egg collection will be on Wednesday. At least I know what to expect now! :)

I feel very full of all these eggs, got 14 follicles over 14mm, one is 20mm and several smaller ones. Couldn't eat much at the weekend I felt so full! Lining is 9mm which is better than last time.

All sounds positive blueflower, lets hope we get oct bfps :)
Feel very crampy today low down, abit like period pain but more twinges, face feels hot (but I do live abroad and may have accidently sun burnt it yesterday) occasionally hot flushes, really sore throat that ive had for about 3 days now.... boobs arnt sore atall though.
Wish id kept a diary of last times symptons now I remember the dull crampy feeling though... still in 2 minds as to whether its worked but keeping optimistic without getting excited x

That's a good way to be! Do you have a journal on here? I definitely feel different to last time, but lots is different including the weather/temperature!
I was told to only do 1 trigger shot in the end cos my estradiol levels were high again. So no injections tonight, hooray! Must remember not to have breakfast and not to drink after 7.30. Looking forward to a nice sleep tomorrow and waking up to a nice sandwich after the op!
When do you test? X

Good luck blue flower and Gemma.. I'm doing a test this week on the off chance we got lucky otherwise all set to start next week..gotta take that chance. Prob do one thurs and if nothing by sat do another as the signs I ovulated twice... Been a long couple of weeks xx
