Ladies doing their first cycle of IUI or IVF.

Hi Dee, both Esperanza & I had only very faint lines for the first 2 days when we started POASing. She posted a lovely sequence of pics on my ivf thread from a month ago. Don't worry, levels are still low at this stage but in a couple of days it should go darker

Charlie you poor thing. Sounds to me like the clinic got your dose wrong. Really hope you get better soon, 3 days before ET so fingers crossed.
Dee even a faint line is a line! Sure they will get darker when the hormone increases. When is 14 DPO? I've never used the tests with the vertical and horizontal lines, they're not supposed to make an actual cross are they? Cos you definitely have 2 lines!
I was told to test 10 days after ET so I am going to wait till then and have taken my last planned sick day in order to do it. I won't be capable of much either way! Although my friend did that and her period started the day before at work which was devastating. Hopefully the progesterone would prevent that for me. I am still swinging between thinking it hasn't worked and thinking it might have done!

The blue tests are meant to make a cross if positive, the positive line goes straight down. Got everything crossed for you Blueflower, I am in the same boat - one minute I feel positive but the next I feel like it's all over. I can feel mild cramps again so I'm feeling really deflated and just so fed up of feeling like its not happening. x

Hi everyone! Fingers crossed for you dee and miss j! I didn't get admitted but I do have milk OHSS, would hate to see what severe is! I'm back in hospital now as no better this morning and can barely walk! Having a scan as they think I have a lot of fluid in my abdomen area. Waiting to go in, just want this pain gone now! Xx

I've had a little bit of pinky blood so I'm really not holding out hope. So frustrated!!! Why the heck won't my body just do as it's bloody told? Looks like round 6 is on the way. Really didn't think we would be this far down the line. x

Oh missj I'm so sorry I know you feel spotting is a bad thing and it has never ended in anything possitive for you so I'm not going to fill you with hope (as much as my fingers are crossed tightly it's spotting only) I'm here for you always and you know where I am hun. Hey Miss J,

this might sound crazy coming from the woman who bought her own progesterone in the South of France, but has trying a cycle without progesterone ever be suggested, I took progesterone on my 2 cycles back TTC number 2 and had chemical pregnancies, I thought they were because of my old issues but when I saw Dr Nardo he seemed to think taking it could be over cooking my my endometrium making it less receptive to a fertilised embryo.

Next cycle without it I was pregnant.

IVF ladies are given progesterone because the process of egg collection can damage the corpus luteum (the thing produces progesterone naturally) but I'm not sure exactly why it's always given to IUI ladies.

Thanks maybe! Hope you and babies are doing okay! Interestingly I did IUI without progesterone both times and got preggers so it obviously isn't needed if there is no progesterone deficiency.

Gawd that's made me worry, I do ovulate naturally but I'm on progesterone, hope it doesn't make things go wrong :-/
