I read in the zita west book to take arnica tablets a few days before and after EC to help with any soreness xx

Had my scan. My lining was 7mm one clear 11mm follie. Maybe some others starting up. Considering ive only had 4 injections. . They are going to call me later re my bloods whether to start cetrotide today or not. Next scan on monday so fingers and toes crossed for more growth.

Thanks ladies, I feel a bit worried though as only 1 was 11mm I know there were a couple more potentially coming out and in reality we went a day early as it's the weekend. I just hope and pray some more growth happens by tomorrow. Xx

Growth can be really quick, I'm only on 112.5 and at my appointment before last, there was nothing happening then my next appointment 2 days later I've had a growth spurt and all those follies have appeared! I've continued over the weekend on gonal f so I'm hoping there's some more growth tomorrow.

I'm sure there will be for you, even if there isn't, don't be disheartened, it takes my follies a while to crack on sometimes but they will keep going til they're the right size.

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

Hi ladies, I had a scan today and the gonal f is definitely doing it's job, I've got 2 large follicles on my left ovary, a 17mm and 16mm, and also a 13.5! Eek. Got to do same dose of 50 tonight, scan again tomorrow and probably trigger tomorrow evening with iui on Thursday. Exciting!

That's fab progress blondy! I had my scan, I have two follicles at 14mm, one at 12 and one at 11. I'm continuing the 112.5 of gonal f and I'm also on cetrotide now so I can only assume iui will be this week but there's a snag - DH is away the end of the week and that's when they'll want to do the iui! Don't know if I can carry on cetrotide til Saturday... Seems a long time.. We will see what happens at my next scan on Wednesday.

Nicky - I think my referral from my consultant to the ivf clinic took around 6 weeks, we got the referral letter quite quickly and then our appointment was probably 4 weeks later so around 6 weeks total from getting the letter to seeing my new consultant then there was probably about another 4 weeks from meeting the consultant to starting iui. I can't really recall the exact length of time in between referral to treatment so they're more approximate dates. Hope that's somewhat helpful. I know waiting times vary a lot and we were really surprised by how quickly the ball started rolling! X

Anyway still seems only the 1 follie still behaving itself... The others just aren't doing anything. Next scan is tomorrow where they will make a decision about EC on Friday... I'm petrified about the 1 but they seem positive.

How are you doing Blondy?

As for me, I have got two follicles on my left at 18mm and one at 11 but it's not really big enough but I'm happy to have the two 18mm ones!
So IUI is booked for Friday. I've done my last cetrotide injection and I've got to do my trigger tonight.

Almost in the dreaded 2ww!! X

I got 5 out of 10 eggs fertilized. Praying they will keep developing. It is really frustrating that we cannot controll this more! lol

Yeah I think my clinic wanted them to be at least 16-17mm so they are a good size. I think I would feel a bit better if they were bigger but size doesn't make the odds any better so it doesn't really matter as long as they are big enough lol.

MissJ yay for the 2 follies big enough! Does the iui fit in okay for you with DH going away? How do you feel?
Esperanza that's great- 5 little embies growing!! Will they update you every day on their progress? Are you aiming for a day 5 transfer? I know what you mean about control, it's so frustrating!!
Things are going well with my cycle, I triggered last night with iui tomorrow. I had 2 big follicles, 19 and 20mm and a 15mm too so hopefully we might get lucky?! BD'd last night too so fingers crossed!

Thanks ladies! Looks like we could all be in the 2ww roughly around the same time give or take a few days!

DH will be back for the iui but it still lands on an awkward day but we will make it work lol. This week has been a bit of a nightmare for us but we are pushing through. Hopefully we will have some amazing news in a couple of weeks that will lift our spirits!!
