Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

Feeling alot better today thank you. My OH has looked after me real well today and even cleaned the house bless him. They have mentioned OHSS. I have been given Cabergoline tablets (not sure if thats standard procedure anyway) but it should help prevent it and told to eat a high protein diet and drink lots of milk. Fingers crossed it stays away. X

Wow Poispinner lots of eggs!! Hope you feel better soon honey xx

Just had my baseline scan. Lining of mt womb us 4.5mm so nice and thin and good to start. I have 8 follicles in one ovary and 18 in the other!!! They have reduced the dose of gonal f as I am at a higher risk of developing OHSS. But start the injections today. Next scan is Monday to see how many eggs are growing xxxx

Sounds great CDABaby!

Well AF has gone already but was light, more than spotting but not a proper bleed. Why hasn't my 8mm lining come out??!

That is so confusing.. Sorry not an expert but can't they give you something to force a proper AF to start? This wait must be so hard for you.. :(

Lovely! Sounds like you might get a good amount of eggs :)!!

That's great cdababy :)

Blueflower, can they give you provera to induce a bleed? I think that's what its called xx

Yeah I might ask for that. Not due a scan until I've been on the pill for a couple of weeks. But can't take the pill till I've had a proper bleed! Its a vicious circle!

Little stressed now. Got my blood results back since I had a slightly elevated THS and prolactin value in the past. Now my THS is 3.5 and prolactin more than double what it should be!! This is bad right? I don't think the prolactin will affect the IVF but heard that a high TSH is bad?

They have put me on Thyroxine medication as of today but will it have time to go down before stims starting 02 October?

Any advise on this would be highly appreciated.

Sorry I don't know.

Rang the nurse today and she called back at the most inconvenient time ever! Said to start the pill today as its day 5 & come in for a scan in 12 days. If the lining is still thick I stop the pill which should shed it and then start back on it afterwards! What a palava!

Thats ok. Ok, at least you have an answer on how to move foward!! Hope your lining is perfect in 12 days! :) if not, stopping the pill should sort it, I always get a proper bleed when stopping xx

Just had my first tracking scan, I have at least 30 eggs. Largest ones are at 12mm already. Unfortunately though I have developed mild OHSS and there is a high chance I won't be having a fresh transfer, gutted to be honest as thought it would all happen this month :(

Oh that's annoying CDA. Although other ladies who that happened to had successful frozen cycles. How do you feel?

They have said there have been higher success with frozen so that's positive. I just didn't think I would have to wait a few more months. I thought this would be it. I know i should be happy as it's still going ahead and hasn't been cancelled, I have had discomfort and pain but thought it was normal xx

Did you have your transfer Poispinner? Hope it went well!

Yes I did, sorry I havent been on, been really poorly (before transfer) and seem to be playing catch up with everything now!

Had my transfer saturday. Was told that the egg they have transferred is of the highest quality  So pleased. Fingers crossed it stays in there. Got to test on 15th and again on 22nd (which is OHs birthday) . Lets hope its a good result!

Glad you got a good embryo Poispinner, that's half the battle! Hope you got some frosties with all that lot! I never heard of 2 testing days, that's unusual. But makes sense really.
