Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Thanks ladies, just don't know where to go next. Will have a more serious look into things after a couple of months off I guess. Was thinking maybe an aquascan? And possibly immunes testing but it worries me that we will be throwing money away for nothing. :( thinking of going with CRGW? But no idea. I feel so sure it's implantation issues.. it just makes sense?

CCW, I think it's great they check progesterone levels in the first place! My clinic just send you off after transfer, you don't even go back for a beta. I had injections and pessaries with both my last transfers cause they give you injections after a failed cycle.

South Wales, ideally looking at anywhere around Cardiff - Bristol for any treatment/tests :)

Oh Millie :-( it's so shit

They said they're giving me injections next time but only because I asked or i would be on pessaries again. I feel mine is an implantation issue too.

CCW - I'm taking 100mg of coq10, maybe I should up it? I heard that is the minimum.

All this is so hard xx

As the days go by I get more negative about this cycle. Just planning the next one, we won't be able to afford another try before August or so.. I'm so disappointed in the clinic that decided ivf instead of icsi even tho all my papers said icsi :( and only 2 fertilized! Ash!
I have constant af-pains and my hpts are just shadows, 11days since collection and 9 since they transferred it back in.
So hard to stay positive right now!

Sorry to hear that Tigerpaws.
You're not out until you're out but totally get it as I was just there xx

Af pains are potentially a good thing though. The only time I was pregnant I was convinced af was on the way as it felt like it was. I kept waiting and waiting but then ended up testing on CD34 and got a bfp. It didn't end well for me but a lot of ladies have af pains at the start and go on to have their babies.

11 days since collection only makes you 11 dpo I believe which could be too early for any pregnancy test. If you can, try not to test anymore. Hang in there xx

I really hope it's just too early.. I'm doing a clearblue digi on Sunday, 13dpo, hoping for a definitive answer. Should be late enough for a real answer!
I will continue progesterone for about a week longer anyway because having my period will ruin my exam, so I'm hoping so hard it's + so I'll be giving the little bump some extra progesterone instead!
I'm so scared

It’s a supplement you can’t reakky overdose.
Another friend who I met originally on here stared 300mg before her ivf,she had really good quality eggs. Pregnant 1st cycle and lots frozen embabies

I should have known! Upping my dose next cycle then! We both used 100mg this time around, definitely worth the money if it will help my egg-quality

Sorry for the bfns girls and got everything crossed for you Tiger.

I can't remember everyone's details so apologies but for those that didn't end up with many embyies, have your partner's had their sperm checked? Not just the standard test but also the dna fragmentation. I've heard over and over again that if you lost a lot of embies before they get to day 3 then it's usually down to the eggs but if you still have quite a few going at day 3 and they drop off between day 3 and 5 that's usually a sperm issue.

Good luck to all.

He's had loads of visible fragments.. :(
and bad eggs apparently run in my family.

I had more eggs/embryos and better quality with second round after coq10 :D
But they also changed meds so can't be completely sure it was just that.. I like to think it helped though

We were at Port Talbot, Heath was full when we were referred. Long way to go, won't miss that drive.

I had loads of eggs.. but with only 2 fertilized I'm tempted to send him to a clinic and get him on Clomid to see if it's better....maybe his stuff is just not smart enough to enter the eggs.

It didn't work this time around. Gonna ask for some chromosome-tests and a bit of other bloodwork before next ivf-cycle.

tigerpaws good luck. PGS NGS chromosome testing worked for a friend of mine, who had 3 failed IVF-s

Hmm.. really hoping we don't have to do that, it isn't available in our country because the biogenetic-law is so strict.. really hoping icsi will be the solution for us, if that doesn't work were going to a private clinic instead of a public one. The public ones are so insanely strict and not interested in alternative meds...

Edit: not sure if public is the right word for the not-private-ones.

Hi ladies, not sure if anyone is really checking this thread anymore, I haven't been on for ages.

Hope you're all doing ok, whatever stage you're at.

Wanted to give a quick update to say I saw my first ever heartbeat on a scan this morning :) It's very early days, I'm only 6+1 and was measuring 5+4 which worries me slightly but she said everything looked good so fingers crossed. That was a fresh donor egg round with Serum in Athens.

Best of luck everyone x

Syd, this is amazing news - congratulations!! When are you due? Have they said they'll scan you again soon? How did you find doing your treatment in Athens? I'm hearing great things about the clinics abroad! xx

Syd, I'm still here! OMG that's fantastic news! Congratulations xxx We will be heading off to Serum in September. I'm not sure whether to use my own or donor eggs after so many failed cycles xxx
