Thanks everyone.
1sttimer, I'll get a scan again at just over 8 weeks, due end November. I found cycling abroad to be wonderful, incredibly easy. I know loads of people that have cycled abroad and absolutely no-one regrets it. There are great clinics in Greece, Czech Republic and Spain, not to mention many other places. Best of luck!
Hi Phonix, really nice to see you. For me, switching to donor eggs was a really easy decision, I don't feel any particular need to pass on my dna and doing a round with donor eggs feels so much more hopeful, despite the fact my first one failed. I won't relax until I get to 12 weeks because there's a thought we may have hidden sperm issues and I believe those tend to manifest in miscarriages around 9 weeks. However, once we get to 12 weeks I will feel a bit more relaxed because the concern of things like ds and other age related problems just won't be there. Of course there are still no guarantees and I don't supposed I'll ever fully relax again, even after the baby is born

Still, donor eggs is something you need to be really ready for. If you look on fertility friends there's a whole section of the forum on donor conception, so many women on there have had donor egg babies and every single one of them says that baby is theirs, any concerns they still have by the time it's born are swept away the moment they hold it, it's their baby x
Thanks lisey, that's what everyone keeps telling me. I'm trying to stay as relaxed as I can about it.
Thanks mia, tinsel and tiger. Tinsel, best of luck with egg collection!
