Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Hi May,

I was only able to start treatment this September. I had one IUi just to give it a shot but it was only a 2% chance of success and didn't work.

I have started 3 cycles of IVF but had two cancelled half way through due to either eggs not growing or poor hormone levels. One cycle did get to egg collection and they did collect one egg but it didn't fertilise successfully so that was that.

I still have 2 cycles to go (I had to do a 3 cycle package due to having such a low AMH).

My story isn't a good one to base things on though cause my fertility is pretty much as low as it could be. I turned 39 at the end of last year but I have an AMH of 0.6 which is what they would expect to see in a 55yr old......lucky me hey!

Ladies quick question,

I've to phone the clinic on CD1. Last night I started brown spotting and then again this morning, by 3pm there was still only light brown on wiping but by 6pm tonight my period was properly here. Today won't be classed as CD1 will it? It'll definitely be tomorrow? Xx

No it will be tomorrow hun. My clinic always says if you get a proper bleed after midday then you count the next day as cd1 xx

AF has finally arrived!! Fingers crossed for a simple and straightforward cycle!

Phoned the clinic today to say I'm now on CD1. To go in on the 7th of march to get prostap injection and bloods then back on the 22nd of march to get a scan, more bloods and and collect injections. Why do I feel like it all still seems miles away xx

20% === I hope miracles happen for the both of us... we must not give up!!! BTW i am 35 end of this year.... I am in my 5dpo now getting so intense on everything.... I dont know if this cycle works??? A little sad i know its still early but i just dont believe all the symptoms that i have now.... It is always so deceiving when you found out at the end of every month.... Fingers crossed.... Baby Dust!!!!!

I am waiting for my solicitors to confirm to the hospital that the end of my divorce is imminent/done so I can get on with a donor cycle. Apparently your husband is automatically classed as the father unless he does not give his consent.

I'm at day 14 and need to start taking meds in a week (for egg collection at end of March) so fingers crossed this all goes smoothly!

My job means relatively short notice travel abroad so if I miss this window I may not be able to try again until I am past 39 (in a few months)

I won a year of beauty treatments from my local salon (one a month) and February's is reflexology. I've wanted to try it for ages but DH thought it was a waste of money so I'm really excited to try it. I'm booked in for Saturday.

Tinsel- how's it going? When do u start ur meds? It is a by of a legal minefield this donor stuff isn't it, so much paperwork! So hope the timing all works out for u

Mrs S - the ladies here are right, it really will go so quickly!

I had my first scan yesterday and things are actually looking good so far this month! 3 little eggies again, only this time one isn't so little! 8mm on day 3 scan already. Could this be THE one? Other 2 eggs are 5mm and 4mm so more usual for me. Start gonal F tomorrow night.

Trying not to get my hopes up but can't help being a little bit excited.

AF has come unexpectedly early even for me (CD24!) so I'm not sure I'll get the most out of the reflexology. Hopefully I still can though. Maybe it's due to stopping the metformin. Xx

Wanna ask if anyone here have cramps since 2dpo to 7dpo... I am having cramps since then... Kind of unusual for me even I am taking progesterone I don't encounter cramps for so long... Is this a good sign or progesterone again???

Could be either I'm afraid. I cramped last month when on the progesterone and I never normally cramp. Still, if you've been on it before and not cramped it could be a good sign.

I dont know but hopefully it is a "BFP" Next week.... How long you have been cramping?? I wrote it wrong it is 2dpiui~9dpiui i am experiencing cramping.... Got the worse cramps yesterday as if AF is here which is far too early.... I really hate progestrone symptoms until now i am still cramping and uncomfortable... I am not testing until next week but at the meantime the symptoms are driving me nuts....

Reflexology is sooooo relaxing! I have always had a BFP following reflexology treatments, it helped regulate my cycle and made me feel more positive and more relaxed so I hope you find the same xx
