~June Testing Thread~ :dust:

Thankyou..I'm off work till Friday which I'm pleased about as first few days are always killers, oh will fetch me some much needed chocolate on his way home (Iam blessed to have an amazing oh) and knowing him he'll probably make me hot water bottles he doesn't like to see me in pain it really upsets him ..be interesting to see how he is when I'm actually pregnant and in labour!
Hope you are more relaxed now I've been thread jumping to make sure every thing turned out ok :-) xx

Bless you...you shouldn't be thinking about me. I'm fine.
Just try and make the next few days completely about you. Pamper yourself? Let oh spoil you rotten and try to remember it this way...

You period may seem like then end of one chance, but technically, it is the first part in the process of a new pregnancy. It is top of the list, the number 1 step in making a baby. Your body is actively getting rid of the lining that didn't wasn't needed as it prepares and releases hormones to make sure a new, healthy egg is released. It's not the end of a journey...that was 10-14 days ago...this is the beginning. I hope this is your month xxx

Thankyou your so kind :-)
I have a 32 day cycle I wasn't expecting to catch this month as oh had to work away over ovulation week, currently sat on sofa in my dressing gown with a milky cuppa and pooch having a snuggle still tired from working yesterday and I do 12 hour shifts in a care home guna be shattered this weekend as I'm doing it Friday and Saturday that's why I'm glad I'm off a few days now to chill and I can run to loo to change when I'm home as many times as need too as always heavy and painful first few days xx

Ahh sorry Holli was watching for your update, well im probs back with you next month anyway, have to wait and retest in a week not really sure what's going on for me.
Blah.
I keep reading to see where everyone's up to. Just not feeling talkative much, pregnancy tests still positive but its early. Xx

Yes I've spoken to my dr twice and she said as im so early to wait and test again in a week and if still positive she will send me for an early scan but if negative she will refer me to gynaecology for recurrent miscarriage testing. She never once mentioned doing bloods? She didn't last time either. I think they just send straight for scanning rather than playing a guessing game with hcg levels as there has been so many misdiagnosed miscarriages recently.
Anyhow, im trying my hardest to stay away from the sticks for another few days, praying im still pregnant by some miracle but truth be told I doubt it after the blood loss and clot as its happened similarly before a few times now.
The only difference being this time the bleeding stopped after the clot and then weirdly reappeared again but very dark red, unlike the colour id seen before. It settled down overnight and I spoke to my gp who said to let her know if it got worse again.
Im still getting boob pains but that's not unusual either, apart from that I dont feel pregnant.
I think its going to be investigations for me really, chances are it will keep happening so next time I want hormone tests etc to see if I need progesterone.
Twins would be wishful thinking yes, I dont know why but I've ended up with a scan date for next Friday and i dont think they will be able to see anything anyway?
I would absolutely love to go out now and get a CB Digi and it come back pregnant but chances are my hcg levels are dropping and so I actually fought the urge and bought myself a new bra instead!
Sorry to everyone who got the witch this month, what a climb this TTC is!! Im trying to have a break if that's at all possible......... Oh still back into dtd so chance is back again....xx

Treetrunks, could the clot have been an early cervical plug? It's not unusual to have these all or partially drop out in early pregnancy and can cause different colours in the bleeding that accompanies it.

I had a really good chat with the lady at clear blue today. She actually got me to open up my digi test which really surprised me. I had to remove the test trips and take pictures to send to her. She said, "You are definitely pregnant (I knew this anyway after so many positive tests) and the only reason you're getting a not pregnant result in the display is that your hcg is not high enough to be picked up". I said I'd call my midwife and she said that if I wanted to, I could, but there is a distinct rise in the number of people getting fainter or even disappearing lines during pregnancy and they have no idea why but that home pregnancy tests are only good for telling you if you are pregnant or not and that a false negative is very common but a false positive is almost impossible. 6 positives are as sure as sure can be.
I've lost a pregnancy at 14 weeks so not sure I'll ever fully relax, there's so much that can go wrong. We've had an awful year here, losing two foals, one of which was stillborn, both of which I gave lengthy CPR to. We also lost a filly. All just flukes but after 24 years of family losses at least every three years, my emotional threshold is on one hand super high, I can forge on through all of the heartache when I need to and things need to get done, on the other hand, I am only ever seconds away from breaking down in tears.

We can't underestimate the effect our emotions have on our bodies and minds when we have the added stresses of early pregnancy so please...be kind to yourself, don't lose all hope and try not to obsess too much. I know it's easier said than done, but we all deserve to give ourselves a break. xx

Have you tried a Superdrug digi what you got your positive with? I'm really hoping you are still pregnant but if not I'm glad they are looking into it for you and investing what's wrong, go out and buy gateau and indulge you deserve it, keep us updated as been thinking about you!
The witch is doing my head in today can't tell you how many times I've had to change I'm just hoping it settles down soon before my lovely 12 hour shift tomorrow can't be doing with running to loo all time especially if I'm in middle of seeing to a patient- least there's loads of pads I can use if need to although they are mainly like adult nappies so don't relish the thought of walking around in one of those be my luck that! Xx

Hi GG, what an emotionally draining year you have had, I agree the impact that our emotions have on our bodies is intense. That's interesting about the Clearblue Digi, I always crack mine open and there were 2 lines on one strip and 1 line on the other. After googling I got 2 conclusions, number one being the second line is the 'pregnant' test line and the strip with one line is the measure of weeks, number two being that there are always 3 lines in a Digi and the depth of colour is what is measured.
So I was no closer.
What did yours look like inside?
I dont think the clot was a plug really there had been alot of bleeding before that, possibly a coagulation of blood high up or the womb lining containing the pregnancy.
It's possible the pregnancy stayed on but in the past few times once I lost the clot the bleeding stopped quite quickly and I got Af a month later as usual.
The first couple of times it happened I thought it was an unusually heavy period but then I started testing early and was getting faint positives.
This time I got a digital positive and the lines on others looked stronger, even got a pound land positive (which never happens).
No Holli I haven't done a Superdrug Digi again, only the line tests which seemed the same but I just thought it was a waste of money now buying digis when really its probably going to be negative and even if its positive it could still be residual hcg for a few days.
Unless all the tests were false positives and I was never even pregnant hahaha the mind boggles in the end!!
Not the one having long shifts when your on a heavy AF! Oh well we shall all start again next month....bah humbug ! Xx

You're having a horrible horrible time Treetrunks. Let time be your friend now...give it some rope and trust it to bring you what you need. Be that natural good news or progression with your GP and whatever tests you can get. Xxx
