***June 2018 Mums***

Hey ladies - new to the forum. I am due 15th June. Have my scan next week, and will be finding out the gender.

Then the shopping begins! Cannot wait :)

Hello to you all xxx

Hi :) and welcome. That's very exciting that you're only next week! I'm the week after and cannot wait.

I *think* ladies, that I'm almost finished shopping  we've been given an awful lot of baby stuff, and I've taken advantage of the sales and baby events for the little bits we still needed... I am glad I've done it all before finding out what I'm having, as I've ended up with all neutral bits, whites, greys and yellows. Feeling slightly prepared now...

Hello LittleAli! And congratulations! :)

Oooo well done Summerwine! I gave in whilst at Asda today and brought my first girlie outfit, was really nice buying pink haha! I've got quite a few other bits but they're all grey and white. We've got a friend whose donating a lot of girls stuff so i'm sure we'll be sorted when we get that haha!

I am chomping at the bit to get started on the Nursery now! I've got a plan on what I want to do I just don't know if it's toooooo early haha!

Aww lovely - that must be such a nice feeling! Great that you've got a friend who can give you so much too.

I would get started - you're 20 weeks next week right? I'd rather do it now, before it becomes too much effort to think about spending a day painting! Can you tell us about the 'plan' for the nursery, or is it a closely guarded secret?

Yeah I am, that’s what I was thinking and I’m a super organised person so I’d rather be sorted early! Especially as I don’t wanna be stuck indoors decorating in the summer! Ooo no I’m open about most things I can’t keep a secret haha! I’m currently aiming for something like the one below however when does anything ever turn out like what it is on Pinterest?! Haha!

Have you got any ideas at all? X

My goodness, on holiday. 19 weeks today.
Anybody else this huge?????

Nursery wise I'm grey and yellow. Not finding out if baby is a boy or girl. But love grey and yellow together

Oh wow. That's a beautiful nursery Urban!! A perfect little girls rooms too.

We won't decorate what will be our nursery I don't think. We are going to find out but wanted to keep the room fairly neutral on colour anyway (for anyone panicking, we aren't going to be raising a gender neutral child, we are just hoping to keep the sex from friends and family until the birth). We redecorated our spare room 18 months ago, 2 walls are a pale orange and 2 are quite a deep burnt orange - giving the room a sort of sunset effect. My OH doesn't know this but I picked the colours with a nursery in mind 'one day'

That's a really lovely bump CMcDx! Mines not that big yet but it's definitely on it's way now. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. Ooh where are you on holiday? Weather looks lovely *jealous wistful sigh*. Yellow and grey sounds fab. If we were decorating, we'd have gone for something similar!

Ooo that does sound lovely! It’s nice that you’ve still got colour in there yet it’s neutral!

I’ve got quite a bump coming along but I love it! I hate wearing lose clothes. Ow haha I love showing it off! Which is strange because I always thought I’d wanna hide it! Agreed with summerwine, it looks so lush there and I’m super jealous (typed whilst stood in the cold waiting for the dog to come back in...hmmm!

Also I was very close to going grey and yellow however I love it so much that 3 rooms in my house have that scheme so I thought the nursery might be overboard haha!

We're going apple green and paired with tan with soft yellow accents :) Got a bargain moses basket in the Aldi event last night for anyone else who might be looking: £31 for both the stand, basket & a blanket

Oooo i'm going to Aldi tomorrow so i'm preparing to spend a fortune in their baby event haha!

Your nursery sounds absolutely lovely too HS! I cant wait to hear how these nurseries end up looking. That's a proper bargain on the moses basket with stand. I had a nose this morning, if I didn't already have one, I'd have snapped it up too!

I did use Aldi's online pre-order earlier this week to snap up some moses basket and cot bed sheets, along with some blankets and bath towels. All the necessities that aren't that exciting

Happy Friday ladies. I hope you all have lovely weekends planned!

Oh I'll need to have a peak at Aldi.

Any other baby events on just now I could peek at?

I'm in Gran Canaria, usually go in June so away on a babymoon instead :)

I know asda and boots have baby events on too! My mum spent a fortune on clothes from boots for buba haha! Oooo I’m so jealous of you in Gran Canaria while I’m sat in front of the fire trying to warm up haha!

Tesco and Lidl have them on at the moment too!

Echoing Urbans sentiments as I pull on my raincoat and wellies to walk the dog... enjoy your babymoon!! X

Tesco got a baby event, just bought a fold up bath there! My mum also messaged me to say she got some stuff in Aldi!

I still think it’s too early to buy stuff but then again my anxiety will probably tell me it’s too early even when I am in labour hahaha!

We’re not really doing anything nursery wise at the mo. Baby will be in our bedroom for at least 6 months, got enough space in spare room to put a cot/cotbed when it’s bigger and a few toys so it can deal with the room as it is ..!! My husband said we’d have to change the curtains and a few other bits, I replied with, the curtains are purple, it will just have to like purple #savingmoney hahahaha

In need of some advice girls! So I’ve got a 1 year old English Bull Terrier and he is causing me so much stress! I love him so much but jumps at me all the time, steals everything, chews everything and no matter what we do we just cannot control him! He’s jumped at my belly quite a few times and I just don’t know what to do because I cannot help but worry what he’s going to be like on top of the stress of having a baby! OH just tells me not to be silly but I just hate being on my own with him because he gets so out of control! The thought of giving him up breaks my heart but I’m in tears every other night because of him! If we were to give him up I wouldn’t ever think of taking him to a shelter I’d make sure he went to a loving home but I just don’t know if it’s goimg too far?

Ooh this is a really tough one Urban... I don't really know what 'good advice' would be. We have a Bernese and she didn't really learn how to calm down until she was about 2.5 and used to regularly have me threatening to get rid of her but if push came to shove, I don't know that I'd ever be able to do it! What are the breed supposed to be like with children? One of the only reasons we picked ours is that they scored so highly with children/babies (not that they'll be left alone together anyway!)

Is there a local trainer who could perhaps give you a bit of 1:1 guidance on these problems in your home to see if you can address them before looking at the 'worst case' scenario? The trainer who did our puppy classes offers that sort of thing for problem dogs?

And Morrisons, though that was a bit sparse when I popped to our local. The events are literally everywhere at the mo. And Mothercare have an expectant parent event starting on 19th Feb which gets you 10% off whatever you buy :)

Oo enjoy the heat and sun CMcDx. I am hating this weather. I know it must sound odd but it's like the cold makes my boobs hurt worse!?

I’ve calmed down a bit now haha! Bluddy hormones are killing me off! Haha! The breed is supposed to be really good with kids which is what I’m clinging onto at the moment that hopefully once she’s here he’ll be better, my only worry is him jumping up at me when I’m holding her but I think we will have to just wait and see! The problem is he’s 30kg+ so when he jumps he’s quite heavy for a medium size dog! I’ve been to trainers and none of them seem to be able to crack him, they are notorious for being stubborn breeds which I don’t mind as I’ve never been one tooo bothered about having the most obedient dog, I just don’t like the jumping up, I know it’s playful but not great on bump! OH just said he wants to see how it goes and very kindly blamed my melt down on my hormones...men haha! Thank you though! Needed somewhere to rant!
