Oh Urban, that does sound tough. For starters maybe 'accidentally' drop something on you OH's for?... As for your doggy i can understand it must be a concern. How about you both go for a chat with midwife as I'm sure she's had couples with the same issue before and she may be able to mediate between the love of a pet and maternal instinct to protect, at the least she may be able to recommend someone local who might help x

Lovely pic CMcDx! Probably a good idea that baby wasn't playing ball if you didn't want to find out gender haha...as sometimes if it's a little boy it's hard to miss! Is the 20 week scan a long one? And do you have bloods or anything at it or is it just an in and out thing?

I've got my 20 week scan Tuesday when i'll be 21 weeks haha! I am excited although not as excited of what I would have been if i'd have just waited for the gender scan lol!

I've gone a bit crazy on buying pink stuff! Got my cot bumper and sleeping bags from La Redoute and some clothes as their sale is amazing!! And then Asda's baby event is so good, got a reversible coat jacket thing for £5 bargain!

Urban - scan should take about 20 mins ish... mine took 45 ...OOPS, maybe we are all gong to have stubborn babies!

Yeah I was getting scanned for a good 25 minutes. They go through all the anatomy and measure it all.

Nope I never had bloods, got an appointment in 2 weeks with the midwife so don't know what's happening at that. X

Oh yeah no bloods, I just got a sheet of paper and left - found it all quite strange! My next appt is 12th feb with midwife so will see what happens next. Also got a referral from consultant for mental health services and I have to ring up for an assessment, so scared !

Princess don't be scared, you'll have been referred to offer additional help if you need it. Everyone just looking out for whats best

20 week scan today and a naughty baby laid on his tummy means I have to go back as couldn't get clear view of the 4 chambers of heart! Tried walking, pop, emptying bladder he wasn't playing ball! Anxious 2 week wait again now x

Oh no! These naughty babies! My little one was like that at the gender scan and all we could see was spine! Luckily she fidgeted a bit so we could get the gender however no good pictures! I’ve got my 20 week scan tomorrow when I’ll be 21 haha!

How’s everyones bumps doing?! Everyone keeps telling me I’ve properly popped now!

Oh Spriddy. What a nuisance - BUT at least you get to see baby again in 2 weeks!

I've also got my 20 week scan tomorrow - super excited. People keep telling me I look small for someone going into their 20th week. I feel humongous! My bellybutton has started to shift already - is that normal this early?! I am terrified looking at it that I'm going to have an 'outie' in the next few weeks (I don't know why this freaks me out, it just does...)

Thank goodness - every time someone says it to me I panic a little too. Then I get on the scales or try and do my jeans up and I'm like 'Hey baby, there you are!' Its fun being pregnant isn't it On a serious note though, I think I quite like pregnancy.

No, I know loads of people who didn't, and I've always had a proper 'innie' too. But it was aching a bit yesterday so I took my bellybar out to have a look and see if everything was okay, it's definitely starting to push out!

Yeah I love my bump too I love wearing figure hugging clothes now to show it off haha! My belly button doesn’t look like it’s moving too much so I may be safe haha!

One thing I wasn’t worried about but now I’ve spoken to a friend I am worried...every so often I get this pressure in my groin, as it’s near where I’m getting all my kicks I assumed it was where she was led awkwardly but my friend whose recently had a baby didn’t really know what I meant! Anyone else had this?

I'm 21 weeks tomorrow as well so was bit late with the scan. I can tell I've suddenly got a huge belly everything has become tight and I went and bought comfy trousers on Friday lol there not attractive at all but amazing bit like a legging but slightly baggy on legs fitted at ankles and can pull them up to under my boobs lol

I’ve only got a small bump, just looks like I’ve eaten a load of spuds! Not doing my anxiety any favours after measurements at 20 week scan! Midwife appt is 12th feb so hoping I get a bit bigger by then...by which point I’ll be moaning I’m too big !!

My scan went all ok today, she wasn’t playing ball and wouldn’t let the lady guarantee gender however she said she couldn’t see any boy bits haha! So o celebrated by buying my cot bed from toys r us on offer haha! I’m way too organised!
