I never got a link for my notes, feels weird not having to carry a folder everywhere!

Also, I'm confused about the downs test... She said about the scan and they look at the neck, but then she gave me a form for a blood test for it? With dd it was just the scan, but because she was in a horrible position, I had to have the bloods.. So idk do I NEED bloods done for it now?

So glad I have a Doppler! It's given me so much reassurance. Did it again today, still can't find the HB but can hear baby moving loads, as soon as I put it on my belly boom baby is like nope... Let's have a dance xD

Try downloading an app called Maternity Notes and see if you can register, if not ask your MW to register your email.

I was nervous about my scan being late (13+4) cause if the baby measures ahead (DD was 5 days ahead) that means they may not be able to do the screening (only possible up to max 14+1), if that's the case they will do bloods instead. Anyway, that's what they told me xx

Just popping over from the June thread (being nosy!) to say that they call the NT scan & blood tests the 'combined test' when done together. Apparently there is greater accuracy in the results from the combined test than there is for the NT scan or bloods alone. Hope this helps! x

I DID IT!!!!!
Omg I've got a red rash all over my face and body (an annoying habit my skin has whenever I'm nervous, was a nightmare in school lol).

I asked how her day was and she said it's horrible and I told her that I might have some news to make her day worse. I told her I'm pregnant and she screamed and said OMG CONGRATULATIONS that's so exciting and made my day better not worse. She called me an idiot for being scared. She said she hopes I feel like I can come back after maternity leave as I have such a promising and amazing career ahead of me.

I'm SO relieved but my skin is still burning haha x

When is everyone getting their gender scan, going private or just waiting for 20 weeks? Im gonna go to window to the womb £59 for gender and 4d scan, with pics and video. Same place I went with dd was brilliant. Was gonna book it but gonna wait for my scan on Friday cos have to pay a deposit. Eekkk so excited. Gonna go 25th Jan. I'll be 17+ weeks

I'm doing the NHS 20 week and a 4d scan later when my mum is over in April. It's £99 I think I cant wait.

Your working to, pay outta your wages. The nhs always say 'they think it's a'. I told them I already had a gender scan and was a girl they just said yeah looks like a girl I think. Much more relaxed in a private one.

I'm waiting for my NHS 20 weeks one. 5th February! I'm sure the time will fly around after Christmas. I might consider a 4D scan in May as an end of lambing treat and for DDs birthday but only if there's a good group on offer

Lol I was meant to wait till Feb cos my B-Day is the 7th. But I can't wait. I also expect to have quite a large bump. We have a party to go to so need to tell close family before they notice my bump. :/

I told my boss today too :O I know it's early but I've been really sick and I knew she'd start to question my 435 toilet breaks to throw up. She seemed really pleased and congratulated me then said she'd keep it between us and only tne health and safety team would know who need to do an assessment pretty pleased as that could have gone much worse xx

Had my booking appointment, was OK. Apparently the system has all changed, and I don't get green notes now (anyone else?) it's all computerised. She said my appointment will come through the post. X

You'd not do well in my house haha my husband is an Indian chef and my family all love the food. I must admit I've been skipping bits but it's not making me feel sick at least haha xx
