Ive really bad pain on left side only. Its pretty bad. I dont get it why its one sided. I ovulated from right side according to doc at clinic .... only thing I can think off was they found it harder too see m6 left ovary/ tubes as was tucked away more but would that cause this stinging pain.? DH is now walking to shop to get me pain killers, oooouch
Hope the pain has eased a little alexis. Would a hot water bottle help?x
Ladies - I am 11dpo and have managed to hold of testing with my temps still at 37. I did a OPK this morning and it was positive. Is this something that can lead to a BFP?
I am now 11 days late... no af and no bfp ( I last tested three days ago..) rang my doctors they said if no af in two weeks then they will ask me to come in... I dont think Im going to test again the disappointment is way too much when its negative...
Well Tapatalk destroyed my reply there haha Sara I didn't have a bfp for ages. No af and no signs of it and tested on 13dpo to get white stark negatives. It wasn't until about a week later I found out. Maybe it's a shy bean xx

Sounds very positive , good luck hunni. January hasnt been kind to us ttcers so hoping you can add another one on for us xx
So I'm out. Of course I am why would I expect anything different?
Alexis - really really hoping it's better news for you.
Sorry Moomin, Ive had more brown dc its got darker and Ive mild cramping on and off so af will be here tmrw no doubt, just never had brown dc for 4 days but I suspect its the hsg test mucking my cycle up. I was told on day of my hsg that I was just about to ovulate so we went home and dtd but prob was just too late or whatever the reason Is I cant get preggers is. I am still so thirsty and mouth dry and had loads of sensations this cycle so who knows what that is.
I have my next appointment on 30th too. I am hoping they will out us on ivf waiting list on that appt. I read brown spotting before af can be a progesterone problem that the level drops too soon?My progesterone level was taken on day 23 due to day 21 falling on bank holiday wknd and was still 44 so not sure. I have so many questions to ask but I dont think they can answer them. I am worried I am causing some sort of phantom pregnancy symptoms cos I want it so bad. I am so done. I had a melt down last night about moving to this big house and countrysides for a family and if we cant have a family why would a couple like like this. 3 neighbours have all just had babies I am finding it hard being in work around a pregnant colleague and 1 colleague is on mat leave due back in summer and then more baby talk. I literally feel like a man going to have a melt down in work with all the baby chat.
For ivf how much time do you take off...is it like intense for a whole cycle following ovulation, scans injections etc, do most ppl take the whole time off.? Do you need annual leave to cover it or is it given on Nhs if you work for them? Im worried I wont have enough annual leave if it happens this annual leave entitlement.
I am so glad I have you girlies on here, this is the pits
I missed your post before Alexis. But for both you and Moomin I will explain a little.
I don't work but I don't drive so I needed hubby throughout both my ivf cycles (and this fet) to take me to scans and appointments. He had a longggg chat with his manager before we started and explained the short notice of time that might be needed but gave a rough time frame. His manager has been really great about it all and allowed him to work from home when needed (like after egg collection, as you then can't be alone for 24hours following sedation) and making up time by working late hours or weekends.
Depending on whether your will be short or long protocol will depend on when you will start needing time off. I think most on NHS are given short protocol.
Short protocol your first scan will be CD1 of full flow. So as soon as the witch drops in you have to call your clinic and have to have your first scan that day. The only way you'll know in advance is if af starts past mid-day. Most clinics won't count it as CD1 if it's after 12.
Long protocol you have to down regulate first. But I think you will have more of an idea when you will need appointments if they give you this as the cycle starts 7 days before your next expected period.
CD1 they will usually give your all of your next scan dates (but these may change). Egg collection and transfer you will not know the dates of until wayyy into the cycle.
If you didn't want to talk to your manager about the upcoming ivf you could hope you book time off when your period is due, but we all know how unexpected that could be!
I think if I was working I would have wanted the few days of before the egg collection as that was when I was most uncomfortable but everything before that wasn't so bad and I could have worked through. I'd recommend working through the tww as it would keep you busy and mind off it xx

Pain is but better as taking ibuprofen regularly now and hot water bottle last night. Counting today as cd#1 as proper flow started this morn. Feeling gutted tbh I dont think its ever going to happen. 13 months with no chemical or pregnancy means odds off it happening now are very slim especially when I turn 35 in August. Got my sad face on. I really have this feeling it will happen by April but at same time I know its pretty slim chance now. I just want to go to next appt on 30th and ask to go on ivf wating list now as time isnt on my side and I really wanted two kids but again slim chance now
If it wasnt for my wee dog Id have lost the plot already
I know 13 months isnt ages but when your approaching 35 it feels like it is. Me and hubby said if I get to 40 and still hasnt happened we will forget it and move on. I guess that would be 6 years of ttc for us and personally would prob be enough including trying 3 rounds ivf.

Thank you so much for this Millie. That's really helpful. My OH really doesn't want to discuss with his work which I totally respect but they are very good at last minute annual leave etc so we're sure we can get round it. For that reason, we've also agreed that I'll attend scans etc on my own as our clinic will be over an hour's drive from his work so he'd end up needing a half day for every appointment which just isn't practical. Obviously for egg collection and embryo transfer he will use annual leave.
Obviously it will become clearer once we know if it's a short or long protocol. I suspect as you say that side effects etc won't start straight away so I plan on working as long as possible up to that point. I totally get where you're coming from about working in the tww and this would be my preferred option. The slightly unusual issue I have is that I would require altered duties so I'd need to disclose any pregnancy early so basically my entire department will know what's going on I'm ok with my manager knowing but I'm not quite as ok with every man and his dog knowing!! So getting signed off and finding ways to keep busy feels like the lesser of 2 evils in my case.

That is good that he's able to take short notice, he shouldn't need too much time off anyway. Once you've been through all the paperwork the man is then only really needed on day of egg collection for his 'part' and I think you can have the transfer without him present if he couldn't get the day off.
Ahhhhhh yeah I wouldn't want every colleague knowing my personal business either if I had to change my work duties. So if your job is stressful or requires too much lifting, twisting etc then it would be better to book it off and plan things to keep you busy. xx
I'm more stressed about how I'm going to get time off work for all the appointments I'll have to attend if we end up doing IVF too Moomin! Especially if I try to take the TWW off afterwards as I would be concerned about the physical aspect of my job (lifting children mostly as some of them are definitely not light lol) it will be a million questions about what I'm planning to do etc OH will be fine he just needs enough notice and he can book off whenever no questions asked! However I normally have to come with some kind of reason to be off, the last appointment I was lucky and nobody asked what my plans where or anything because I'm definitely not looking to share lol I'm a terrible liar too so I am sure they can see through my so called "plans" lol

It's funny as I never thought this would be the stressful part
I am also a horrible liar haha!! Thankfully I don't need to lie to my manager as she's supported me the whole way through but I know it will be harder if I can't give her lots of notice. That's why I hope the GP will be supportive with signing me off when I outline my concerns as I think it will be less stressful all round if I'm just not there. That way anything that only I need to attend I can just get on with. Then all we need to worry about is annual leave for OH just when it's needed. It feels like the best option at the moment.
