Morning Ladies,

I've admitted defeat. I've been feeling shite for a while with nausea and sickness but been battling through - well having been violently sick on Sunday night and then felt like death yesterday, I phoned the doctor and have some anti-sickness meds.

I came home from work yesterday lunchtime and slept literally the entire afternoon and all night. I managed some soup and a slice of bread for tea last night, and this morning i've had a brew and slice of toast. Having today off work to try to eat a bit more, let the tablets kick in and generally rest.

I've been really struggling with my mood as for nearly 12 weeks i've felt horrendous - I don't do being ill very well at the best of times, and this second pregnancy is 4298942 times worse than my first with my son. All i've done for 14 weeks is really sleep - i've had zero energy to take part in anything, and work has been a struggle.

I feel such a cow for moaning, because baby is such a blessing and I love him or her dearly but this has been far more of a struggle than I ever imagined it would be.

Alipops that sounds horrendous- don't know how you do it! Take the time you need off work and i hope you can get some food down

So I had my booking in appointment with my midwife yesterday afternoon and I've just had a call from the hospital confirming my scan is this Friday at 11.50!! Thought I would have to wait longer so can't believe it's so soon! I'll be 11+6 on Friday! So excited but also feeling anxious already! At least I only have 3 days to wait!

Hey ladies, well the scan was amazing. Baby was doing flips and would not stay still! We had to leave the room and come back as she couldn't get measurements. Shame the woman was so miserable too so made no attempt to get us any decent photos and there were so many nice shots with its legs in and hand up to its face and some nice ones of the face, but she wasn't interested and couldn't understand why we were buying more Than one. Surely it makes no difference to her! Think I had high expectations after how clear my last sons dating scan was. Anyway, put forward to original date of Jan 15th, so 13+1 today! exciting. I also think it's another boy now! Haha..

My nhs scan was disappointing also. The woman was miserable. She didn't know that wasn't my first scan, she made no attempt to make it a happy experience. So pleased we have a private one to look forward too. Don't know why they're in that job if they're so miserable!!

Sorry I've not updated before now. Our scan was great, though for the first time since our loss we were led to the same cubicle. It took all I had not to panic. But the sonographer was amazing, asking lots of history and being very thorough. Baby was in a really awkward position so I had to jiggle then empty my bladder before she could get a good profile. I've also been put forward by 1 week and 1 day!!! I'm sure of my ovulation dates so hoping this one isn't going to be massive!!! Not sure I can see a nub either. So official edd is now 14th Jan!

Had my scan today my edd was the 15th of jan but they gave me new one of 18th jan! Was so lovely, baby was doing somersaults!! Amazing experience! Sonographer was so lovely and gave me an extra photo for free!

Absolutely take time off!!!! I've taken half a month of over various separate days because I've been so sick as well. I've been through 2 different anti sickness meds - one I could no longer keep down, so they gave me the dissolve on gum one and it actually made me twice as sick!! Now I'm off them all and though I still feel like death and am sick regularly everyday I still feel better than when I was on that second set of meds. Currently between houses so don't have a GP I can go to about it but just hoping it eases off one day!! I'm over 13 weeks now and was terrified for my scan as I hadn't been able to keep vitamins down. Everything was fine!! Doctor told me to basically live on sugar because body absorbs more calories from it faster so if you're sick you've absorbed more. She literally told me to live on coke and sweets. I've found ginger makes me sicker, and mints sometimes help. Hope you feel better soon!!!

I measured 11 weeks 2 days so just a day under what I had calculated!
