January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Ps I've discovered flamin hot twisted Cheetos today! Omg they are delicious lol!
Had my GTT today, wasn't as bad as all my friends that had previously had it had said! But the lucozade made the babies have a proper dance around ! X

Oh those Cheetos sound good! :D

That's an adorable sleeping bag Kate! I want to get something like that but they will be more like dungarees for boys!

Thanks for the recommendations for hospital bag ladies, good idea about dark pyjamas PrincessP, I usually wear shorts ones as I get hot, do you think that will be ok or should I wear long ones for walking around in?

I might start getting things together when we come back from our final holiday before 2 become 4! We decided to get the Eurostar to Marseilles and then get a self catering apartment for a week. Booked the train but still deciding on the apartment, very excited!

Oh that sounds like fun! How exciting. :D

So glad you managed to book something Blueflower that's brilliant! Shorts will be fine - it can get quite hot in there.. Just wear what you'll be comfy in (I wore lots of nighties).

So sorry you're still struggling Lisa I can't imagine how tough it is for you :( xxx

Good to here babies are well Laura! :)

Jealous you've booked a holiday Blueflower!

Hope you sort this issues out Lisa, I was under the impression we got to have a choice of midwives when pregnant - silly me - so far I haven't seen the same one twice which I have found very unsettling!

Also found out that if I want a home birth, they just throw me whoever is awake/free at the time :( which has kind of put me off as I don't want a stranger no matter how nice she may be xxxxx

Would that not be the same if you went to hospital sweet? I had 2 different midwives during my labour - hadn't seen either of them before and both were completely different.. To be honest though at the time I didn't care who was there as long as they knew what they were doing! xx

Yes, hospital of expect that really. I was just hoping because it's someone coming into my home is at least get a chance to meet the prospective few who it may be. Oh well!

Just had such a lovely day with my sister and she's totally spoilt the baby! Xxxx

Yeah I suppose it's different with them coming into your home :( Hope it doesn't put you off though as you seemed so up for a home birth, I think they're lovely.. Oh that's so sweet! Hope you had fun.. I dug some old baby stuff out the attic to see if it's still any good - so many memories!! xx

We ordered our pram today! We collect it early December. Decided on the Mountain Buggy duet but will look for 2nd hand carrycots otherwise mum was going to buy all of it! It also has compatible car seats that we might get later on! Mum also gave us 2 sets of clothes she has bought for us and teddies, so sweet!

Thanks girls. Been a bit better today. Back on the other pills now, seeing as cyclizine might stop me throwing up but has me feeling nauseous all day. Also got antacids on prescription.

We bought a pram today! Found the Oyster Max with all parts we need for less than half price on Gumtree. It's only ten months old and we also got an extra colour pack (grey) and a changing bag with it. Since I already bought a Babymule I know suddenly have to bags, but figured it might not be a bad idea. Keep on extra around in case you don't have time to refill it between outings.

Suddenly it seems like we've got a lot of stuff. Really only need some more clothes now. And of course all the disposables

Hi Ladies. Me and T.J. had an interesting day today. :) OH and I decided on the name T.J. for Troy junior. :) It was my boss's birthday today so there was a party for him and someone brought a cupcake to me and it was chocolate! Just what I crave so I couldn't resist it. Then a little while later, oh my goodness! T.J. was moving and doing all kinds of flips and rolls inside me. :bunny: :bunny: He was moving so much I started to feel like sea sickness sitting at my desk and started getting nauseous. I thought I was going to throw up. I'm glad he's active and moving that means he's healthy. I guess the sugar in the cupcake really got him going. LOL Have any of you ladies ever gotten nauseous or feeling sea sick from baby's movements?

That sounds nice Papermoon :) I personally always loved movements and never felt nauseous but I have heard of many who do! When the baby gets big and does a full turn it's the oddest feeling! You feel like you're going to explode..

That's great news on the pram Rhiandell - I was looking at stuff on Gumtree yesterday but no luck..

I sat and wrote this yesterday as I want to have bought most things before Christmas. Just deciding now if any of it is non-essential! My only extravagance is the Joie swing - it looks amazing. Going to look for one 2nd hand..

If you or Oh can bare it, go to a Black Friday sale of you can't find the swing second hand! I'm sure there will be plenty of discounts etc in mother are xxx

If anyone is an Aldi fan too their baby event is on & we've just been and picked up a few bits. X

Hi everyone,

I did something really stupid yesterday.. I was waiting for a train at a remote little station, and when the train arrived, it was tiny and stopped at the other end of the platform. It was already delayed, and I didn't know when the next one would be, so I had a mad moment and decided to run to get on. I can barely walk these days, so it was a seriously bad idea. I think adrenaline kicked in as I managed it, but I think I have ripped all the muscles in my abdomen doing it. I had to request a wheelchair when I got off the other end, as I wasn't able to walk. I now can't do anything, and I feel like my uterus is about to explode!

Don't run for the train ladies! So not worth it, I feel like such an idiot!

Oh wow poor thing! I hope you feel better! No don't do that again! :hugs:

I literally just ran for a train 40 minutes ago! Definitely adrenaline's fault... Hope you recover quickly sweet that doesn't sound at all fun! xx

I have on principal outright refused in the past but may try and brave one this year!

Oh yeah, I forgot about Black Friday coming up soon. I bet we can find some good deals on baby things at that time. :D

Oh no Laura, hope you recover soon!

Anyone else had nesting instinct kick in lately?! I'm usually the messiest person, do as little housework as possible but lately I'm actually wanting to do it! So weird but so welcome haha

Black Friday isn't as bad as it has been in years past. As so many people avoid the shops due to thinking it's really busy so it just ends up being really quiet and disappointing for retail staff I worked the last two in Debenhams! Xxx
