January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

I also have a few grey hairs ! I've been waiting until the third trimester to go back for my hair colour lol luckily they can be hidden!

Ah Kate that's so sad your poor friend I hop she's ok xxx

I must be a little run down as I've had one of my lip blister type cold sore type things appear on the edge of my lip!! Has anyone else had this? It won't affect the babies will it? So frustrating haven't had one in I can't remember how long!! X

Thanks ladies.. She was early on (just approaching 8 weeks) I just think it's the fact she's already been through it this year. Thanks Blueflower, yes that's basically precisely what I said, understand if she doesn't want to see me but if she needs company... Her partner is away with work for the whole of October too and it's her Birthday next week :(

I think you'll be fine Sarah, if it is a cold sore it's a strain of herpes but I'm fairly certain that if you've had them before, you have immunity to pass onto the babies (similar to chicken pox..) Also I would have thought the infection is localised so wouldn't be inside you? Not 100% sure obviously but I wouldn't oanic. Poor you though they are horrible.. xxx

Ladies I looked in the mirror today and I saw a gray hair! Right in the front! :oooo: I quickly pulled that thing out! LOL!

Pahaha! Papermoon I am 26 and already have greys! Prepare for many more once you become a mother!

Ladies I have just found out that one of my closest friends is most probably miscarrying for the second time this year (first was a missed miscarriage). I don't even know what to say to her - she is going to be absolutely heartbroken :( I was speaking to her just yesterday and she was getting all excited about names etc. then she texted at 6 this morning saying she's having a heavy bleed.. It's just the worst, I don't know how to support her?

LOL Kate about the gray hair!

And that is so sad about your friend poor thing. Yes try to comfort her but don't feel bad if she doesn't want to see a pregnant belly at this moment. But just be there for her if she wants it.

Kate that's so sad. Wishing your friend all the best.

One of ladies in my Swedish twin group on Facebook found out yesterday that there's a hole in the sack for one of the twins, so the little thing barely has any amniotic fluid. Obviously the risk is very high, but she's way to early on to be induced.
I haven't commented yet, as it just seems so horrible.

Rhiandell, im month hopping but I saw your post about your friend and it struck a cord. One of my friend's waters completley broke when she was 24 weeks. There was no fluid and the baby was surviving on small pockets of water he was creating himself by his own wee. They admitted my friend and she was given the worst possible outcome. She was on bedrest and they were doing all they could to keep the baby going and the best case scenario was that they would induce her at 34 weeks. She went into natural labour at 33 weeks and her perfect little 4.5lbs son was born. He needed oxygen at first and was in nicu and scbu for 3.5 weeks after which he was discharged to the normal ward and after a few days he was home. He's now 7 weeks and doing amazingly, he's tiny but he has no other health issues.
Anyway I just wanted to share in case it gives your friend some hope.xx

Oh Lisa that's terrible :( bless her.. It's so hard to know what to say without sounding generic and insincere..

Babybee what an incredible story! The survival instinct kicks in even when you're in the womb..amazing. So glad that your friend had a good outcome, what a little warrior!

Babybee, thank you for that! Such an amazing story, I will definitely pass this on. I'm sure it will help her be more hopeful. Thank you.

That's a lovely story Babybee! Its all so uncertain and we just have to hope everything is alright in there for our babies.

I've had a mad week at work trying to finish everything off before going on leave and leaving instructions for my colleague. Had so much extra to do recently with covering people on holiday & trying not to get stressed! But finally done and I left early for an appointment so now at home attempting to relax before packing to go away!

Applied for my maternity leave too, hope to start on 21st November, I’ll be 33 weeks which gives me 4 weeks before Induction if I’m induced at 37 weeks. Midwife said they could come earlier though!

A couple of us will be in Trimester 3 at the end of next week, can't believe it!

Now I can look forward to a week in France!

Wahoo!! That is officially the best feeling Blueflower.. Enjoy it, have a lovely time away xx

Aw your poor friend, but it may not definitely be the end - we had a few bleeds on here in tri1 and it was all ok. BlondeP's baby was a right monkey at the start.

Gray hair wise, I've been getting a few of those too! I feel like 24 is far too soon to be getting grays so I'm not impressed!

Feeling much better thanks to those who asked above. The mega pain is over with and it's just back to the regular PGP which the hospital have given me crutches for the really bad days, but I've been forcing myself to swim a little bit twice per week and it's definitely helping. I highly recommend swimming to anyone that's suffering with pain. The first time is a bit difficult, but it gets easier. xx

Wow that is an amazing story! That baby was a little fighter!

Wow yeah third trimester is coming up. :) When does it begin? It's so exciting, we're almost at the finish line. :)

Aw Lisa. I hope everything works out for your friend.. Laura's right, my Squig was a NIGHTMARE to begin with but everything touch wood has turned out OK. So jealous of your holiday Blueflower !!
My lovely oh has taken on a part time job at my new place of work behind the bar to help fund baby. I thought I'd be great as we can go home together but I finished nearly two hours ago and still say here patiently waiting for him ... Remind me to drive myself next time haha!

Glad the pain is easing off Laura, I feel like someone has drop kicked my coccyx right now! Xxxxx

Thanks lovely, sadly they confirmed yesterday with a scan that everything had gone :shakehead: so unfair.. xx

Sorry to hear that Kate, I'm sure a few of us have been there before (myself included) and it's a very difficult thing to do through. xx
