January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Take care Laura. I ran for a bus today and immediately realised I wasn't really able to. Hope you heal up soon xx

Ouch Laura hope you're ok? My abdomen hurts if I twist or get up quickly and feels so tight. I had to sit on a bench on the way back from the shops today as I was so tired! That must have been agony.

DH and I had a baked camenbert on Friday, it was delicious! Not supposed to have unpasteurised cheese but I read it's ok if it's bubbling all over and steaming! Was so nice!

4d scan tomorrow, can't wait! :good:

Crikey Laura rest up ! Hope your ok!

Yum Blueflower sounds delicious :-)

As we don't have a midwife I've found it very difficult to find what antenatal classes we should be going to so I've booked hubby & I onto our local NCT course next month. X

Haha, people are so funny aren't they! I think it depends on region too - where my parents are, the Next sale gets people camping outside in tents to get in first..

Sprout yes for sure - I still hate actually doing it but I feel like I should/want to clean everything! Doing the bathroom with a toothbrush today

Hope you enjoy your scan today Blueflower..

Up a stone now.. Bit disappointed with myself :(

Oh no Laura! Take care and rest. I hope you feel better soon! <3
I know I've struggled to run for the bus, but it's been a few weeks since I did it, will definitely not do it again.

So apparently I have serious baby brain as during the weekend I've been eating a mix of both kinds of pills. Had one box in the kitchen and one in the bedroom, took from different ones at different times. Need to get more organised somehow.
So no idea if latest swap works yet.

Just had our 4d scan, it was a bit disappointing as she couldn't really see them properly so I have to go back in 2 weeks and DH doesn’t want to come again. (He said he didn't think we'd get good pictures & that's why he wasn't keen to take time off work! Good thing I paid!) The sonographer was a bit brusque and kept saying how difficult 4d scans are! They had their legs over their faces a lot but I wouldn't have minded a video of that! She saved 2 minutes of DVD footage but we won’t get to have it till next time. We did get a good picture of Twin 2’s face though, he looks like DH!!
Twin 1 was facing away so we'll have to hope he's moved next time! I'm glad they are boys in a way because if they were girls looking nothing like me it might be a bit strange. Next time its at a different branch so hopefully the sonographer will be a bit more personable!

Yeah I just thought about that. Here on Black Friday people camp out in a line, then they go crazy once they are allowed in! I'll be 7 months pregnant then, I don't think I'll want to be in that madness after all at that time. LOL. Last year one of the employees at Walmart got choked for cutting the tape that allows them in too slowly!

I think I've got baby brain, I've been forgetting small simple things at work that I have been doing for a year now. LOL On one account I was working for 10 minutes trying to get the computer to accept the person's phone number and it would not. I restarted the whole system twice and still it would not work, finally I called one of my coworkers over to see why that kept happening and he was like you're trying to put the phone number in the box that's asking for the account number. :dohh::blush: I felt so stupid! LOL I told him to pretend like he didn't see that, he said I won't say a word Hahaha.

Yesterday I cleaned the bathroom and put fresh sheets on the bed, and I was done! LOL That's all I could manage before my back said no more. LOL

Sorry you didn't have a great experience today Blueflower :( Very off that the sonographer was grumpy as it's a service you're paying for! How disappointing for you.. At least they offered a repeat, hope that one goes to plan! I completely understand where you're coming from with the whole if they were girls not looking like you thing - I'm glad you didn't have to deal with any uncomfortable feelings there.. So sweet that you could tell he looked like your partner!

Yeah maybe they don't have to make as much effort as NHS! I feel a bit more positive about it now as at least we have one 3d picture! Was looking forward to a dvd but it will be something to look forward to after our holiday!

Aw that sucks about 4D scan. I had a bit of 4D scan at 16 weeks and it wasn't very clear at all either. Pretty cool that you could see one of them looking like your oh though! With mine being girls, like you said, I do kind of wonder whether they'll look like me or not. I look the spitting image of my mum, but my sister was born with red hair and very pale skin (my mum is half Chinese). Must've been a shock for my mum haha xx

I plan on getting the 4D scan and the DVD. I think they are cool. :)

Had an awful experience with MotherCARE today :( very smug staff that made me feel useless when collecting my pram and they wouldn't let me take any of it out the boxes to fit in my car it's the threat of 'you won't be able to return it if you do' ... So how are others with no car or a smaller one meant to get their pram home?? :( very upset, hormonal pregnant lady now xxx

Oh Abi how crappy of them! That's super lame ! And surely how do they do returns if something's wrong once the buggy is out of the box at home anyone! They sound like a bunch of jobs worths! I would email/tweet as that's terrible customer service X

That's cruddy service, I don't know how people get it so wrong? I worked in shops as a youngster and in a very challenging customer service role for a few years and even with the most frustrating of customers managed to remain polite. Let alone towards a pregnant woman, alone, trying to cram a very expensive buggy into her car! I agree with Sarah - the power of a tweet is huge! Wipe that smugness off their faces anyway :) xx

That's funny, does your sister get her colouring from another relative?
Our egg donor had the same colouring as me so no will know unless we tell them. But being adopted I really notice family resemblances and can tell if people are related or not, my sister doesn't have that awareness at all!

How rude. Definitely leave a snotty review. They do sound like Jobsworths.

Had another midwife appointment today, tummy measuring 33 cm which would be 33 weeks pregnant with a singleton, haha! She said we are doing well and recommended yoga for the rib discomfort.

Pahaha! Papermoon I am 26 and already have greys! Prepare for many more once you become a mother!

Ladies I have just found out that one of my closest friends is most probably miscarrying for the second time this year (first was a missed miscarriage). I don't even know what to say to her - she is going to be absolutely heartbroken :( I was speaking to her just yesterday and she was getting all excited about names etc. then she texted at 6 this morning saying she's having a heavy bleed.. It's just the worst, I don't know how to support her?

I have a few greys, one caused by my ex, 1 caused by DH not wanting to have children when I was ready & delaying us and a couple more by all the infertility stress! Expecting a few more next year but so far avoided to having to dye my hair!

That’s so sad Kate, how far along was she? I would suggest asking if she needs any company, let her know you are there for her but she may not want to be around anyone pregnant for a while. :hugs:
