January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Yep I second all of what sprout said! Espesh massive knickers.. Maybe some flip flops for showers if the thought of hospital bathrooms icks you out as much as it does me!

Just bought this.. Knew this would happen if I found out the gender!

Mega exciting about the pool Sprout.. Golly it's getting a bit real now guys!

That's so cute!!

Isn't it?! I've picked a date to stop shoots now (I'm a newborn photographer) in mid November...so only a few more weeks till that, then it'll be Christmas before we know it and then baby time! I already feel sooo ready though, getting really uncomfortable in the evenings now

Couldn't agree more princess! At first I really thought I wanted one of each - the "perfect" family but now I am actually chuffed that my daughter is going to have a sister! It's so lovely as well not caring what you have - gender disappointment can be terrible, I've read some really upsetting posts on it :( xx

Girls if you haven't bought your travel systems already. Get to mother care! Just took my OH to buy the Cybex but he hated it :( so we searched the shop for over an hour to finally agree on the silver cross wayfarer. It was £495 on offer including the pram, chair seat, carry cot & a free car seat! Coouldnt believe it :D I finally feel ready now as silly as it sounds.

Also, started my new reception job today which has taken a huge weight off my shoulders as now we can start saving a little bit ahead of Christmas :)

Thanks for the bump love, I popped my first bump photo on fb today and got so much positive feedback it was so heart warming.

I think I'm going to start my hospital bag this weekend, I like to be prepared haha xxxxxx

Oh my goodness Sprout what a lovely job! You must just feel constantly broody though?! This is what i'm thinking - Christmas always comes round so fast and then.. Babies!

Abi I didn't realise you'd found a job that is fantastic news :) what a relief for you.. Thats great on the pram front too! What a bargain!

Thanks Kate, a friend recerred me and they took me on straight away! Xxx

It's a wonderful job, I love it, but yes it does make me sooo broody, I honestly think I'd not be pregnant now if it weren't for all the gorgeous babies I'm around haha

Oh lordy girls, I'm getting mega freaked out... My bump pales to literally nothing against all of yours, I haven't bought a single thing for baby yet, haven't even looked at prams, and the thought of a hospital bag hasn't crossed my mind! People at work still don't even know I'm pregnant!

Wow you've got like the best job ever Sprout! :)

I think I'm gonna start packing my hospital bag too, because things like packing always takes me a long time. LOL!

That's a cute sleeping bag Kate! :)

Don't worry holding thumbs - you look like you were quite slim prior to baby so that could play a factor as to why you haven't got a huge bump. I was a 12/14 with a big arse & a bit of a belly going on prior to baby so thatl probably why I'm fairly big right now :'D my best friend didn't start showing til nearly 30 weeks with her second and she was average size. Everyone is different.

As for having things/ being prepared, I just have no self control in baby shops haha xxxx

Yes I second Abi :) Everyone carries completely differently.. Are you into exercise? If you had lovely strong stomach muscles they'll still be holding everything in.. It will pop don't you worry! Mine are already shot from Poppy so my belly is just stretching away at the rate of knots.. One of the main reasons i've been buying things is to spread out the cost, I did it with Poppy, bought just a couple of things each week and by the time she came I had a mountain! Haven't gone mad this time.. Have literally bought 7 things for baby (inc. pram!) don't panic.. Once you've started you won't be able to stop Xxx

Hi everyone, nice prams and bumps :)

I had my latest scan yesterday and my girls seem to be doing pretty well and measuring good sizes for singletons, so biggish for twins. They are dinky though still, 1.2 pounds each. It's exciting though! And I'm amazed they are double the weight that they were just 2 weeks ago. Feels like we're on the home stretch! When do we get to move into tri3? xx

Thanks guys. Not into exercise at all, but have just always been slim - I'm hoping something will happen before the wedding I have in 3 weeks though or I'm just going to look like I've had an extra slice of cake. And I haven't even been INTO a baby shop yet! Or looked up NCT classes. Or thought about anything at all. Just too busy at work. Maybe I'll try and make a start this weekend.

I guess it's just because I'm pretty far behind everyone, and with so many twins that brings everyone's due dates even closer. I've only just tipped past half way, so still realistically 4 1/2 months until baby arrives! Which seems like forever at the moment.

Great to hear your little ladies are doing well, Laura!

Happy to see everyone doing well. Pretty bumps and nice prams all around. :-)

Great news about the job Abi! Congratulations!

Holdingthumbs, I haven't start getting much stuff yet. We've only just decided on the pram we want, going to go look at a second hand one tomorrow. Then I very spontaneously bought a clothes bundle on Facebook. My focus has mostly been on slings lately. Bought an Ergo baby in Sweden that my mum is bringing over next week, together with a stretchy shawl I'm borrowing from a friend. There was also a shawl in the bundle of clothes, but don't know if it will be any good.
My mum has started building up my stash a bit though. But she loves making things, she loves babies and she's retired, so it's all easy for her.

On another note, I need to whine a bit. Back to work yesterday and today, but I'm really struggling. Feeling so nauseous all the time. Almost threw up at my desk this morning, but managed to keep it to just a bit of acid. Talked to a doctor, going back to previous medication again as well as something for the acid. Just want to be able to work. But it's hard to concentrate when you constantly feel as if you are going to be sick. Trying to stay positive, telling myself that at least the babies are fine. But I feel a bit lost, not seeing the midwife until three weeks from now and as previously mentioned, she's useless. I've only seen a consultant once, and won't seem her again until week 28. Tamba recommends that in this week you're introduced to the full core team for multiples. And I'm like "what team?" I'm not even seeing a specialist midwife.
Ok, end of whining.

That's an adorable sleeping bag Kate! I want to get something like that but they will be more like dungarees for boys!

Thanks for the recommendations for hospital bag ladies, good idea about dark pyjamas PrincessP, I usually wear shorts ones as I get hot, do you think that will be ok or should I wear long ones for walking around in?

I might start getting things together when we come back from our final holiday before 2 become 4! We decided to get the Eurostar to Marseilles and then get a self catering apartment for a week. Booked the train but still deciding on the apartment, very excited!

Rhiandell where abouts is it that you live ?
I don't have a midwife just see the consultant but from 20 weeks I now see her 4 weekly? Are you able to request a midwife swap? X

Blueflower I reckon shorts would be ok wouldn't they ? as you'd want to be comfortable X
How exciting that you've booked a trip away before the boys make their appearance. X

Ps I've discovered flamin hot twisted Cheetos today! Omg they are delicious lol!
Had my GTT today, wasn't as bad as all my friends that had previously had it had said! But the lucozade made the babies have a proper dance around ! X

Just remembered to get some Skips on the way home from work!! ;)
