January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Nice bump Holdingthumbs! Nice dress Blueflower! If it was that size in US dress size it would be perfect, but when I googled the size conversion, it needs to be one size bigger. I like it though. :)

Hi Robbda happy V day! :) Yeah I've got to do the paper work for my maternity leave now too. I haven't decided which day will be my last day yet. I think I want to work as long as I can so that I can spend as much time as possible home after baby is born. :) Me and OH have gone to look at prams, strollers to me haha but haven't decided on one yet, there are soooooomany choices woo! It's like where to begin. :) I want one that he can use from infancy on up to toddler. I saw the kind that is like a bassinett, then it can convert into a chairlike stroller for when he's bigger. I want that kind. :)

Thanks! Romford is quite far from Brighton but if there's lots we'll make the journey!

Lol Blueflower I forget your Brighton, how lovely when the boys come strolling along the beach all wrapped up nice and cosy in the crisp winter :-)

I've reserved my pram today!!

Went to mother care & they had the cybex Priam with deluxe seat on sale for £650 as its ex display. So once I've bought the reclining car seat that will mean I've saved £400 on the whole system! So happy! We are going over after our scan tomorrow to collect it :D :D :D

Looks lovely! So many choices for single prams! Does the seat go flat like a carrycot?

The car seat converts into a carry cot :D its called the cybex cloud Q seat i think. :D the seat in the picture lies down slightly but will last them theire whole pram life xxxx

Wow looks nice Abi! :) It looks like the one we'll end up getting.

Ah how exciting, they both look great. X

This is our one, the carrycots are a little narrow but figures babies will be dinky in them for a bit & then when they outgrow they go forward facing pushchair style.

Abi you look lovley. My bump is really big now. I'm hoping it slows down lol! I already have a pram from my little boy so don't need to buy anything. Plus we don't know the sex of the baby so can't buy any clothes. I've literally got nothing to organise lol. When will you all get your hospital bags ready. I'm going to start putting stuff together for mine. It's surprising how long it takes.

Abi mine's suddenly popped too.. Can't believe the difference is photos from 19 weeks to now... Feels like ages since we got our pram.. So glad you got the one you wanted Abi! Oh gosh Princess I haven't even thought about that.. Think I did it around 32 weeks with my first.. xxx

Love seeing all your prams even though we won't be getting one - our little girl's only just gone into a pushchair. Love the cup holders, could definitely do with one of those!

I reserved the hire birthing pool last night! I'd been going on the website every few weeks then thinking it was too early still, well it finally felt like the right time, agh! Just hope I actually get to use it.

Lovely bump Abi :-)

Princess I read a book that said for twins you should have your bag packed from 26 weeks Ek! I'm going to start buying little bits for it over the next couple of weeks & have mine ready for 30 weeks I think.

For the mummies already, what were your essentials that you couldn't do without in your hospital bag?

Exciting that you've reserved the pool sprout :-)

I was in hospital for 2 nights I think, essentials were:
Loads of maternity pads
Comfy clothes inc stretchy sleep bras
Slippers
Camera
Phone charger (we actually weren't allowed to use our own but the one they gave me was broken!)
Baby wipes - not for baby but for me, I couldn't get up without feeling like I was going to faint until blood transfusion, so I couldn't shower which was not pleasant at all. Baby wipes helped a bit.
Toiletries
Huge comfy knickers
Plastic bag for dirty clothes
Snacks

For baby:
Clothes
Nappies
Cotton wool or water wipes
Nappy bags in case you can't get up to go to the bin straight away

Aaaand that's all I can think of at the moment

ETA: White noise app on your phone!!! My little girl screamed the whole 2nd night, nothing would settle her, I didn't sleep a wink. The next day I remembered I had a white noise app, popped it on and it was like magic! Wish I'd tried it the previous night.

Yep I second all of what sprout said! Espesh massive knickers.. Maybe some flip flops for showers if the thought of hospital bathrooms icks you out as much as it does me!

Just bought this.. Knew this would happen if I found out the gender!

Mega exciting about the pool Sprout.. Golly it's getting a bit real now guys!

Sprout has covered most things. Snacks are important. I was up all night feeding my baby last time and I was finding it very hard to keep awake when I hadn't slept for 30hours+ and had given birth. I was eating minstrels and drinking coke all night to keep me awake. Dark Pyjamas are a good idea as you leak blood. I also took roll on deodorant as didn't want to spray in confided space near my baby. socks also.

I'm going to start getting my bag ready as it's surprising how long it takes. I'll just get what I can, when I can so it probably won't be ready til 30weeks +

That sleeping bag is gorgeous Kate. I think having two girls is fab. I have sisters and although we argue, we are the best of friends and I can always rely on them to support me. It's like having a best friend for life. I have a little boy and although we won't know gender, everything is pointing towards another little boy. I would be sooo happy with either gender and in some ways I think it's such a bonus to have two the same sex as they have a different bond. I almost feel pressured in to having a girl this time, like other people will be disappointed, or they will think we are disappointed when it is not the case. When that baby is in your arms, there is nothing you would do to change them. Whatever gender people end up having, I always feel that was meant to be, and that is what will make that family.
