January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Hi ladies! Nice bumps! Yup my bump is getting bigger and bigger now like a growth spurt. :) I can really feel it on my back too, I might have to try one of those pregnancy support belts.

Let's see today I ate for breakfast a grilled cheese sandwhich and a yogurt and a glass of milk and water. For snack I had a granola bar and water. For lunch I had a chicken sandwhich and a granola bar and water. I'll have dinner soon which will be a lean beef hamburger patty, home made with no bread, soup and broccoli with a glass of milk and some water. Later I will have a piece of fruit and that will be it for me. :)

You healthy bunch of wotsits (excuse the pun). Your diets sound like my pre-preg one, but now I just allow myself whatever I want and whenever I want it. Probably not the best way about things, but I feel like it's one time in my life I don't mind putting on a fair bit of weight and it will slowly come off after as I don't eat too badly usually.

Ok so I've got a lovely lady delivering her preloved support belt to me any minute now!! I'll let you know if it makes much difference xx

Jeeze girls you're all sounding mega healthy..

I've gained 9lbs so far which I didn't think was disastrous but I definitely need to buck my ideas up.. I have been a carb monster and have been loving toasted bagels with Philadelphia and really overdone jacket potatoes with salt and butter.. I've been pretty much living off carbs and I need to up my veg and protein asap.. Feel so guilty now!

My partner is on a strict diet of chicken and kale every night so i'm cooking meals for us both (obvs don't want what he's having!) so the thought of cooking two 'proper' dinners has driven me to jacket potato city! Need to stop being lazy!

I keep telling Myself that so long as I have my preg vits every day, I can have my naughties haha.

Also, I have my first two stretch marks!!!! Cried for nearly an hour this morning when I found them, how silly :( xxxxxx

hi all. sorry for being so quiet, I haven't been feeling great at all. I'm sure I've missed loads but hope you're all doing ok. Lovely bumps ladies! Mine is absolutely huge. I just don't understand it. I am so big and uncomfortable already and there is only one baby and the baby wasn't measuring big at 20 week scan so I don't know why I'm huge. I'd put on about 10lb by the time I went for my 12 week scan :( , I havent' weighed since, I'm too scared. I don't think I've put on excessive amount elsewhere, it's just my bump. It's so big, I can't sit down without feeling breathless. I keep getting comments from stangers asking if I'm nearly due. It's got the point where I feel embarrassed. My mother in law keeps on staring and making facial gestures.

Anyone else finding out gender soon. We are still team yellow although I'm convinced it's boy. Would be extremely happy either was so I'm not even bothered with trying to guess anymore.

As for my diet, it's terrible. I wouldn't say I'm eating loads, just not very good stuff. I get too tired to cook and my husband isn't good at cooking so I end up just having jack potato, pasta n sauce, crisps etc. You ladies all seem really healthy! lol!

Hi Princess how are you? Did you ever get contacted about your Papp a hormone or was all ok ? Xxxxx

my Papp A is on the low side of normal so I don't think they are overly concerned about it. There were some issues with my scan( although they now think that might be within normal range too) which together with the lowish PAPP I was worrying about.

I am really struggling with sitting comfortably and keep feeling out of breath as if something is sitting on my chest. ( Had breathlessness in my last pregnancy too) so I think it's because of my body shape, everything seems more squashed and paired with my HUGE bump this time, I think everything is so squished. I feel ridiculous moaning how uncomfortable I am only being 22 weeks. xx

Wow, I wish I just had 2 stretch marks! My belly already looks like railroad tracks are all over them.

Aaawww sorry you are going through that Princess, I hope things get better for you.

Oh Blonde, I didn't see your comment about the stretch marks. It's not silly at all to feel upset! It's difficult to see out bodies change. I didn't have any in my last pregnancy and don't with this one yet (Suprisingly considering the size of me) but I had some on my thighs from when I was a teenager and they don't bother me at all now. They always seem worse when they first appear and are red. They soon change.

Have you been using any stretch mark prevention stuff Abi? I use bio oil and did during my last pregnancy. I don't know if that has helped or whether it's just down to genetics.

Aw thanks girls, I did feel silly lol. I've got them all over my legs from teenage years but have accepted them.... The two on my tummy are only diddy. I've started using bio oil, I thought you used it from when bump was growing didn't realise I should of started sooner but il be putting it in twice daily now - hope it helps!!!!

You're going through the mill a bit aren't you princess, hope it gets better (I know it will!) xxxxx

TBH I don't tend to put it on twice a day as it's a pain to do. Also I think maybe drinking lots of water helps. I don't really do that either but do try.

I read a pretty thorough blog post about stretch marks that had gone through a lot of data and come to the conclusion that the number one factor is hydration. Keep your skin stretchy by drinking lots of water and using moisturising cream. She also suggested collagen, just to further keep the skin healthy. Unfortunately the blog is in Swedish but of anyone is interested enough to run it through Google translate I'll try to find the link.

As for healthy eating, I really don't. I eat whatever I can keep down. Butt loads of cereal mostly, granola for digestion and frosties for when I'm feeling sorry for myself. Yogurt with or without granola. Cereal bars to keep nausea at bay during the day. Basically I live of carbs and everything else is an afterthought. I just try to think that the babies will take what they need and I'm the one who'll end of with malnutrition. :-D

That makes me feel better Lisa, I drink soooo much water so hopefully it's working a bit on the inside.
I've just made my way through two packs of skips and two sweet waffles :') xxxxx

Oh that's good! I drink loads of water and have been using the cheap Asda version of Bio oil since 3 months but not all the time, its too hot! Used some Royal Jelly body lotion this morning and some after sun at the weekend at the same time as my legs!

In not sure if you have a primark near by, but I bought a bottle of bio oil from there for £7! :D xxxxx

My belly's covered in stretch marks from last time, I've actually grown to quite like them haha.

princessp, I've had a horrible feeling on my chest for a few weeks now, it's like a chesty cough feeling but when I cough, the cough can't get deep enough to actually help it...does yours feel like that?! It's so irritating, I keep contemplating going to the gp over it but feeling like they'll just say it's a pregnancy thing...

My diet's also not the best. I'm a picky vegetarian at the best of times so am really meant to be making a big effort to eat well, but just got home - late after my very first attempt at an antenatal Pilates class - with a bag of chips from the chip shop. Oh dear. Not sure that's the point!

Kate and I have both got our 20 week scans on Friday, Princess. I'm team yellow - not sure if Kate is still joining me! Sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable xx

Oh my goodness, I don't know why I haven't been using stretch mark cream on my belly. I'm going to get some tomorrow. Hopefully is will help. I do drink lots of water but I haven't been using any cream on my belly.

I don't think there are any studies to show that cream actually makes a difference, but I'm using it anyway just in case!

So far I've been lucky but at the rate my bump is growing im sure I'll get some lol! I've got creams should start using them! I'm always drinking at least 3litres a day of water to keep nice & hydrated. I've fluctuated with weight since I was a teenager and have them at the sides of the top of my thighs so I've made my peace with them for a long time lol . I think I have a couple on my boobs but as long as these babies are growing & staying nice & snug then im not fussed & theyll fade eventually X
