January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Ahh Laura your bump is so cute! I haven't bought any bump support, didn't last time either...would be interested to know if it makes a difference.

My SIL and brother went for their 20 week scan yesterday and baby wouldn't show them the gender...they don't mind too much and won't be going for a private scan but I was so disappointed haha. They did say the sonographer would guess it's a boy so I'm going to think of it as that. I'm amazed at the patience of those of you staying team yellow! It's not even my baby and I'm so desperate to know :)

This was me a few days ago, in a jumper before it got disgustingly hot again. I'm soooo ready for it to cool down now, not a summer person at all!

Wow you guys!! So beautiful!! When I said a few days ago that I had the beginnings of a tiny bump, I meant that when I wear a very tight fitting jersey dress, I look a bit like I've just eaten a big dinner! Haven't even told work yet.
Really hoping it will pop soon - getting a bit fed up of not looking at all pregnant and wanting to feel like I deserve a seat on the tube.

Lovely bumps! I got called 'pregnant lady' at a wedding at the weekend which was nice! I will take a new photo! I am considering a bump belt for night time as it feels so heavy, sore, stretched and tight when I turn over!

On another note, does anyone know how to multi quote? I clicked on the icon that takes me to the quotes but I can't see how to add them to my message! I've asked in Forum support but not heard back yet!

Ahhh lovely bumps!! Nope not got a support .... Yet ! Feel I'm going to need it though as I'm starting to struggle with my back and hips.

Just thought you'd all be interested to know, my midwife said today if you are feeling movements every day then start monitoring then the way 'Kicks Count' advise you too :) they do wristbands that count from one to 10 so you don't have to remember every time you feel movement clusters which is handy xxxxxx

Once you have selected all the messages you want to quote with the multi quote icon, you scroll to the last comment on the page and press the "post reply" button on the left with a red asterisks next to it.

I will be getting some kind of bump support as my bump is huge already lol feeling it today just in the heat! I'm struggling as I know hubby is having a stressful time with the extension & I can't physically help as much as I normally would!

I wonder how we monitor kicks when it comes to twinnies ? X

How are yours positioned? I can tell if their legs are on different sides of me!

Had my 24 week scan today! All fine, she checked the heartbeats first and both still ok, phew! Only took 10 minutes, measured the heads, legs and tummies only this time! Estimated weights are 1.6lb and 1.7lb which is on the normal scale, very pleased! So the other 10lb or so that I've put on must be must be placentas and fluid! ;)

I think they may have stayed the same since my 20 week scan which is both head down but both either side but think their legs are at the top together so not sure if high up who's who but I do get movements on each side too but wonder if lower down is muffled by anterior placenta?

Yay for 24 week scan that's awesome and so pleased your little men are doing well, great sizes too :-) X

Blueflower, 10 pounds? You must be bloody joking I've put on at least 20 already I think! I don't think you're taking advantage of eating for 3 enough?

Lol Laura ha ha X

I think I've put on around 14/15 I'm nervous of getting GD!

Hm.. what have you all eaten today? I want to get an idea about whether I am massively over-eating for pregnancy. I am definitely eating a lot more than I used to, but I thought that was normal and I only eat when hungry!

Today I have had..
Breakfast- 2 slices of sourdough toast with jam

snack- lamb samosa from town market stall
snack- Portuguese mini-mince beef patty thing from market stall

lunch- fist sized amount of chicken and chorizo paella and green beans

snack- handful of nuts
snack- 6 watercrackers with cheddar and then 2 more plain because I was still hungry!

dinner in a minute will be rice, lamb and veg. Probably a fist and a half-sized portion. I find that I can't eat massive amounts at once, but I need to eat pretty frequently.

Ha ha ha I'm not eating great I get so full up at the moment!
But I'm worried I'm having too many carbs!

I have two slices of toast in the morning
Then if I'm hungry I'll have a brown sandwhich & a packet of lentil Aldi crisps but I'm really not fancying sandwhiches at the moment! Then I'll have a tangerine

Then for dinner just anything really, tonight was but indulgent it was toad in the hole with mash

I had a twister lolly earlier lol!

I haven't had lots of hunger pangs really but when I do I feel sick lol I'll have some crackers dry to see me through lol

Oh my goodness! I'd be a ball of anger if I ate that amount. I get starving every 2 hours for at least a handful of nuts or something! I'm jealous that you don't feel hungry so much!

I usually need to eat about every two hours, but I think the total amount isn't that much more than usual, since I eat smaller portions. And then I have days like today when I've barely eaten at all due to being sick.

Haha! It was a stone in total a couple of weeks ago so is probably more now but I don't want to get enormous as I’d hate to have to diet and probably wouldn't lose it again due to my age!!

Mine today was:
Breakfast : full fat greek yogurt with raspberries and granola on top. Fruit tea.
Morning snack: nectarine. Fruit tea, water.
Lunch: Brown baguette with salmon pate, cucumber and tomato. Squash.
Afternoon snack: 3 jam and cream sandwich biscuits. Real tea!
Extra snack: icecream! Water.
After work: apple
Dinner: Mushroom and veg pasta with cream. Grape juice with lemonade.
Might have something else later, not sure!

This is similar to my pre pregnancy diet as I have low blood sugar so always have fruit and biscuits as snacks, after Christmas I take my Christmas treats in for snacks at work and make the ladies on diets jealous!
Having extra snacks now like icecream, cheese or milkshake but might take crackers and hummus tomorrow instead!

I'm embarrassed to say what I've eaten after reading all yours - my diet is atrocious at the moment (I may have had cake for breakfast?! It was home made if that makes any difference ;) ) But yes I am staaaarving and feel like I'm eating constantly....I've been like that since last pregnancy though as breastfeeding also makes my appetite insane. I quite like it though because I'm super greedy :D

I'm usually a big foody it's very odd lol I have been having the odd biscuit & some chocolate this week but haven't had a massive appetite
Blueflower yours looks yummy !
It's annoying as I've gone off yoghurt and eggs & I love nuts but can't have them as hubby is allergic so don't want to risk any allergies for babies as his family quite allergic lol!

You're all eating sooooo well! I had banoffee pie for breakfast yesterday followed by a subway for lunch, cheese board for dinner and a packet of popcorn for snack !!! Awful haha! I've put on nearly 10lbs :( xxxxx
