I officially declare......baby making now on hold :)

Thanks positivity :petal:

I thought I was going to struggle a bit in making the decision but it just seem to come naturally & I feel 100% better about everything in my life, I'm even sleeping better as well

Just like you said sunny, my lil voice of reason is saying "your meant to be here"

I know myself that these things happen for a reason, whether they are good or bad or whether we want them to happen or not but as long as you stay positive then only good things can come from it

I'm not going anywhere plus I need to increase the knowledge of kezzatanica

Hi honey so sorry only just caught up with this post! Sounds like a really good plan hon, if you had a baby now it would probably be a mixed blessing if you were having finiancial problems. At least if you hold on the time will be right and you will be able to put your all into caring for a little one. Meantime how exciting you have a wedding to plan, I'm sure that will keep you busy and the time will fly by. As you say you have age on your side, I was desperate for a baby 2 years ago but OH wasn't ready (he is 4.5 years younger than me) so we waited and I am now almost 32 and he is is 27 and we feel like we have done all we wanted to do first and the time is now right. I'm glad I waited as I wouldn't have wanted to have a baby knowing OH wasn't ready.

So glad you will be staying with us, you have been a rock to lots of us on here always there with great advice or a lovely cheerful message to make us feel better when we have been low. I wish you all the luck in the world and look forward to hearing all about your wedding plans x x x x

Oh Bella, thank you for sharing your experience, it's a great comfort to me & made me feel even happier knowing we are doing the right thing in waiting :hugs:

You brought a tear to my eye as well, thank you for your kind words :petal:

I've only known you all since November but you all truly are wonderful, your all going to be amazing parents & I'm so excited to be able to share your pregnancies with you :friends:

Ooooooooo our wedding.......all the deposits are paid, all the lil bits for making my stationary etc are bought including my dress, veil, shoes & tiara :yay: even our table plan is done......... MONICA  The only thing that needs sorting is our wedding rings but we are making them ourselves :cloud9:

xxxxxx

Awww you're welcome honey :hugs:Thank you too that is so lovely what you wrote about us all being amazing parents :petal: I remember at the time 2 years seemed like a lifetime away but it really did fly by! We did our house up in the meantime so that kept us nice and busy and we also did things we wouldn't necessarily have been able to do as easily if we had a baby such as flit off for weekends away at short notice and we had a nice romantic holiday in Jamaica just the 2 of us. I too was worried about money, I know people say you can never afford a baby but I think you can at least be better equipped so I've been saving hard for the past year as maternity pay at my work is completely shite.

Oooh sounds like you're super organized for your wedding - Monica lol I have visions of you with lists upon lists! What is your dress like? That is sooo romantic you are designing your own wedding rings x x x

oo just seen this....very sensible my love but you will have your bfp now...ha ha....just like me :D xx whatever happens is meant to be. thats how i see it anyway xxx

That's the other thing, we still haven't finished doing our flat up yet either & the OH wants to make us a perfect home for us to enjoy & for when a lil one comes along

Although we have been together for a long time, we've only lived together a year & a half & it will be so lovely for us to spend time together & enjoy ourselves without having debts & the flat being a workmans yard!!

Time is flying by as it is, it's crazy as we are already in February now!!! I know my mum always said when you leave school time just disappears but seriously, this quickly.......

I need to look into the maternity pay for my place but I can't imagine it's going to be too good but that's ok though, it all comes in handy & the way we are going to work out our money is that we have a nice nest egg saved away, a separate baby fund for things for the nursery & clothes, nappies etc & a separate fund for our baby itself, like a trust fund I suppose

I want to take up knitting as well, esp after seeing the beginning of M2As blanket, which is just gorgeous so that will keep me occupied as well

I think I posted a picture of my dress on another thread, I'll search for it & if can't find it will post the piccie again but was a bargain. The dress retails at £2k & I bought for £500 from a lady in Oxford, as it's only been worn once for her wedding so it's nice the dress has been blessed with joy & happiness already

With our rings, there's a workshop in London & somewhere else where you design your own rings & spend the morning there & melt down the metal etc & make them from scratch, is quite expensive but really adds to making our day special

Sounds like you're getting really organized hon, it's so nice to have a plan of action so when the time comes you will have no stresses as everything will already be in place :) Lovely that OH wants to make a nice home for you and bambino. Relish the time you have just the 2 of you, particulary as you haven't been living together long, think of all those nice lie-ins you can have :nap:

Now you say it I think I remember you posting a pic of the dress a while back, although with my dreadful memory I've forgotten what it looks like! What a bargain too, I bet you'll look lush. That is really lovely you actually get to make the rings, I've never heard of that before. Well I'm now on the starting blocks to leave off, funnily enough OH has just text me to say how he's looking forward to the meatballs at Ikea!!! Woah he must be physic given we were only talking about them earlier! Quite excited about getting new wardrobes as sad as that is, but we've still got the ones which were left by the pervious owners in our house when we moved in and they are practically falling apart! (maybe because I have stuffed them full of clothes, handbags & shoes oops:oooo:)

Have a great rest of the day my lovely x x x

i found out yesterday, that even though i will be going on mat leave in september i get my full holiday allowance for this year and then even when i am off next year, i still get my full allowance for next year...so my boss has told me to try and keep as many hols as possible and tag days onto the end of my mat leave. so i could end up taking my 9 months where i get money and then saying i will go back month 10, but actuall;y take like 6 weeks holiday so have about 11 months off..... :)

xx

It's odd cos I'm great at planning certain bits but when it came to finances & the future I was always like 'nah we don't need to, we'll be fine' & I'd turn a blind eye to it all, now I've got my sensible head on & worked everything out, I've realised it's a good job I did as this is the one big chance to sort things out

Financial side of things all set up, with what we will be saving for a couple of years we will be able to have the following:

*Our nest egg
*Maternity clothes fund
*Nursery/baby fund ie. furniture/buggy/clothes etc everything for before our baby arrives
*Baby trust fund that we can continue adding to
*Another fund to help with the essentials like food/nappies/baby bits etc

The nicest thing of all is that I won't have to return to work either & can be the mum & housewife I dream off :cloud9:

I'm so grateful & really appreciative that we are in a position to be able to do all these, I feel incredibly blessed & lucky :flower:

I've got my wedding folder at home & if ever feeling a bit down I always have a quick peek in it or I'll take my dress out the box, never fails to make me smile :yay: When we booked everything we had like 2 years 9 months until the wedding & now it's coming up to 2 years, gone so quickly :yay:

Hehehe  I have visions of you opening up your wardrobes & all your accessories falling out on top of you  Although I hope that hasn't happened as would hurt very muchly I think

I hope you've had a fun afternoon looking in my favourite shop & thoroughly enjoyed your meatballs (am sooooooo jealous) it's 3:45pm & my working day nearly done :pompom: :yay: :pompom:

will miss you, but it sounds like a brave decision to make - it's easy to want stuff now but takes more strength to wait and to build up to it. really respect your decision. and good luck in it

(if you win the lottery will you come back to us sooner?)

Thank you so much scotchegg :hugs:

I can't wait to start using the printer at home, so many more positive messages to add to my notebook :yay:

Hehehe  you betcha I will, the OH buys 5 lucky dips every week so have 20 chances a month......still hopeful

I love being here, I would honestly miss you all too much

Kezza that's great hon that you've written down an action-plan lovely to see all the things you'll be able to afford and fantastic you'll be able to be a full-time mummy! Oooh you've inspired me now to write my own financial plan of action! :) I think I would still have to work after having a baby but on a part time basis, would hate to have a baby and have to go back to work full time I think you miss out on so much, I realise that is the only option for some families though.

Tee hee yes that is definately me having everything fall out of my wardrobe in a huge avalanche! :oooo: The dream is to have everything organized and a place for everything hence the new wardobes. We've been looking at the pax ones where you can even get little drawers for jewellery and bits but it worked out pretty expensive so looks like we're going to have to save a bit more before we get them. In the meantime I'm having a major declutter you wouldn't believe the crap I hoard :rotfl:x x x

good luck sweetie! chances are in 2014 it will happen quicker for you because you'll have less worry.... you are sooo brave to make a desision like that and i admire you for it.

roll on 2014 :yay: :yay:

Hey smokey

Thank you so much for your kind words :flower:

We were only on our 3rd cycle & as much as we want our own child it just wouldn't be fair with how things our at the moment

Hey Bella :)

Awwww good stuff, always nice if you can inspire people a lil :yay: go Bella, go Bella :yay:

My mum was always at home & had a sewing machine in the kitchen & did bits & pieces for the army but always there when growing up, my dad on the other hand wasn't, he was either in the pub or at work & never at home, I found it hard growing up cos although your parents are married & together, you never see one of them so that's why its really important for us that we will be around all the time, well as much as possible & the OH will work from home a bit more & if he is in the office then he isn't going to stay late as much as he he doing now

Oooooooo how fancy do those pax wardrobes sound, I love having lots of draws & cupboards to hide bits in.

How well did the decluttering go hun?

xxx

Wow...kezzy...what a surprise! It's good to know you'll be around and help us with our lines....
