How are all you new mummies doing?

Hi ladies!!

I witch I just send S to nursery in socks. Does anyone put shoe things on lo's yet? I can't get any to fit her as her feet are quite chubby. Think I'm going to have to go somewhere and her her proper fitting soft ones tho. She can't go out in the winter in her tights!

I got a big amazon order delivered with S stuff last night. Too exciting! :-) I haven't went too nuts tho cos I wanna do a few personalised things for her to keep.

Nat how weird - S got hers yest too! It's too cute eh?! She had been extra gurny and now I know why.

Toria - that's ridic!! I would defo go for buying a cheaper version or it'll just be never ending!

i've got quite a few pram shoes but i can't get them on thomas' feet. And if i manage (after 10 minutes of struggling) he takes them off in about 30 seconds!

I don't have any shoes or anything for stanley either I just put a blanket over his legs when we go out, he has proper chunky feet they're like rectangles

I got an Amazon order today too! I got a little tikes anchors away pirate ship thing it says for 2 years but its a sand and water pit thing for the garden it was on that bargain bay for £40 odd half price! It looks class I can't wait to play with it ha

We have the opposite shoe issue, hus feet are really quite big for his age but his legs are slim so they never fit around the ankle and kits fall off. I put him in lace up high tops sometimes but I haven't because he's been walking around and he can't do that in shoes. We got some wrap around thinsulate boots from h&m which are great but keep falling off because his legs aren't fat enough to keep them up lol

Joseph got his first pair of clarks shoes a couple of weeks ago as he started to stand before that I was just using pram shoes. x

I just put little booties on her when we go out in the cold. She does like pulling them off, but they stay on OK in the pushchair.

I don't bother with shoes yet - they say they shouldn't wear things on their feet untill they are walking properly as it can hamper the growth of the foot?? God knows but it's more the fact when I put pram shoes on Oscar he looks like he has club foot

Ditto! As soon as they're on ryan wants them off and I can't see the point in paying for shoes I'm probably going to lose/he's going to chew into oblivion!

Hope the results come back ok today bex xx

I've just picked up Emma's first pair of pram shoes yesterday, just to keep her feet warm. I won't bother with shoes till she's walking around outside. They just hamper them using their toes to get up etc.

Jen, the less you send in to nursery the better. My nursery just lose everything!lol

I've got some shoes for Hayley, but they normally end up off her feet within 10 mins if she tries to walk as they don't fit properly. I like them in the pram just to keep her feet abit warmer as she tends to stick her legs out of her footmuff

We got shoes for Daniel for nursery, just to wear outside. They seem to have this knack of putting him down outside on the (wet) artificial grass and I decided I'd buy some shoes and waterproof trousers!

This is precisely why I asked the question. They have an outdoor but. I assume they won't bother taking them out in winter but if he's still not walking by the time they do, do I give them some sort of footwear? I'll ask when I go to his settling in sessions but just curious as to what everyone else did

The nurseries I visited all said they get the kids outside no matter what the weather! So def worth asking

^^ so did me but she's never been out yet haha! She's only ever been half days yet but I defo want her outside at some point on her full days!

So it's a general no for shoes just now then :-) she has her cosy toes and stuff for buggy so I suppose that's enough just now x

Are we all having a nice weekend? Question until what age are babies meant to have 20oz per day for? I'm struggling to get Macie to drink much but it could be teeth but was just wondering she currently has 3 7 oz bottles xxxxx

I'm sure I read a year but don't quote me nat.

So far so good this weekend. Had a nice day with S and my brother and Neice then went up to the light switch on in my town, feeling very festive now :-) hope your all having a good one x

I went to hv on thurs and said that Ryan is averaging 20oz a day, sometimes more sometimes less, she asked if he was having milk (on cereal) cheese etc so I said yes everyday and she said that's fine and no problem :) he turned 9mo this week x

Hey hope everyone is well.. My step dad went in for his op to remove the cancer yesterday, he came out the op around 7pm and was told by the nurses it went fine, my mam and his sons went up to visit and everyone was so happy an relieved it was done with..
9am this morning he got called into a room to be told that they never went ahead with the operation as when the surgeon was about to do the procedure he noticed more cancerous stuff behind the cyst so he left everything an he stitched him up. He's been told he has to have a bigger op in a hospital 3 hours away as they don't have the expertise or the instruments.

I can't get my head around them saying the op went fine and then telling him he's still got cancer :| it's insane. My mam had put a photo up on facebook saying the op was a success all fine then obvs got told that afterwards. So now he's back at home with stitches in pain and is no better off he Finds out next week when his next operation will be.
Crap day!
It's my OHs birthday tomorrow on a brighter note!

I've just sat down for the first time today. Emma's baptism tomorrow and everyone coming to ours after. What was I thinking!!! House rearranged, cleaned, food ready to go, fridge stocked full of wine. Think I'll need a nap as soon as we get back!lol

Oh Stacey, I can't get my head around that either! So they said it all went fine yesterday, then this am it's a different story? Some one needs a big telling off!
