How are all you new mummies doing?

Oh no Kerry :-( your bound to feel like that ur so brave doing all this on your own and from what we have seen of ur ex fed keep focusing on the fact that you are so better of without him! Hugs!
Sorry you didn't get the job Stacey I'm having work trouble ATM so I know how u feel!
I also feel your baby on the move pain nothing is safe anymore!!!
Hope all babies are ok sending special hugs to poor Scarlett and oscar get well soon gorgeous ones xxxxx

So sorry Stacey. I hate group discussions and presentations for interviews. Wish they'd do the interview first. No idea why they think only doing those first will help them pick a good candidate. Hope you find something better soon.

Kerry - you are doing so well after all the change you've been through

Sucks about the job stacey... I once went through an interview and got promised the job then the next day the manager went off on sick and her temporary replacement wouldn't honour my pay requirement... It's such a let down when you're all ready and then nothing comes from it. But it usually means there's another plan made for you somewhere.

I hope all the sick babies are on the mend. Right now I have a teething child who has learnt to teleport lol - he's so fast!!

We had our first little word other than mam today (he went from mamamama to mam lol)

He looked at me and said no... That can't be good lol

So when we were first choosing our car seat we opted for the maxi cosi because it fit on the xplory & because we could use a base too that could be belted in. Hubby was adamant that we didn't have isofix & it couldn't be fitted retrospectively.

Last night I was browsing that fb about car seats & someone mentioned paying ford to do it afterwards so I googled about the astra...I wish I'd checked originally because we do have isofix! Went out to feel for the anchor points when husband got home last night & sure enough theyre there. Do you know what he said? 'I wondered what they were for' queue massive eye roll!

Thanks for the support I found out that the jobs went to the people who already worked there and a managers son! Total fix haha made me feel less of a failure anyway!

Stanley only army crawls at the minute but he's getting pretty fast! He only says Dadda not mam mamma!

Kerry sorry your feeling that way it will all come together in the end at least you have that supprt from your parents there and your not fully alone with Hayley, you'll find someone right for you both :) hugs xx

lol iwitch men are classics sometimes. Can't see things even when it's in front of their face.

We're still looking at next car seats. Thomas is still comfortably in his cabriofix but his head is getting close to the top. We're going to go for one of the new Isize seats. Was thinking about buying one that will last longer but because we are planning on a second baby we've decided to do this for the time being. We've already bought a britax first class plus for grandparents cars. The whole thing is a minefield, it confuses me so much. Just want to get the safest thing but I struggle to understand the difference between all of the options.

Jojo that's sounds lovely that Luke is saying mam. I only seem to get it wen thomas isn't feeling well or doesn't want his food lol

I know! I wish we were close enough to visit securatot. I think austin will defo see out til xmas until needing a new one. Hopefully we'll get a decent one in the sale & one for my mum too.

I switched to the stage 2 aptamil and now the milk won't fit into my tommee tippee milk pots! Going to have to put 4oz in each pot and double up.. The milk must be thicker anyone else using it, the only difference I noticed was that it has iron in it?

Hi ladies sorry I've been totally out of action! Things have calmed down a bit here touch wood. After being suctioned this morning S is going much better and keeping food down and more importantly - no more seizures!!

Hope everyone and their babies are good too.

Stacey I noticed this and it only dissolves properly in hot water. If it wasn't really hot it would get stuck on our size 2 TT teats x

don't have that issue i've been using it for awhile but then I have a different pot and use avent bottles.

Thomas has had a real off day today. Hasn't eaten much or drank much milk after being sick sometime in the early hours of this morning. Don't exactly know when as he didn't cry or make a noise, just walked into a cot full of sick at 8.15am this morning and it was already cold :(

he's gone to sleep fine tonight so i'm hoping it's a 24 hour thing - might be to do with his teeth as the bottom ones look more visible (although still under the gum)

Last night hayley barely touched her bedtime bottle, then she refused her lunchtime bottle today and she's barely touched her bedtime bottle again tonight. She normally has 3x 8oz bottles. She did eat food for lunch and dinner so im guessing her foods just satisfying her more

Hope these sicky babies get better soon! Hopefully Thomas' teeth pop through soon kathryn!

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't been on here much. Joseph is now standing and trying to walk so I daren't take my eyes off him for a second. All is good here. Hubbys just start a full weeks worth of shifts :( 07.30-19.30 friday to sunday back at his course 9-5 monday to thursday and then 06.30-18.30 on Friday :( I hate his job at times. We have got a night off next weekend as my mam and dad are having Joseph for us so we are going to do some christmas shopping as I will have my first full pay since Jan Woohoo and then we are going to go for a meal and maybe a drink or two. xxx

I think our little thread is going a bit quiet :-(

I'm the same with Emma and her trying to walk. I'll be in the kitchen doing something, and she will stealth crawl up next to me,Id go to move, and notice her just standing next to me.lol. She's loving her walker too, she gets it out and off she goes till she hits something and then falls over sideways. So funny.

We had a night out thurs, was so nice to go out and finally not have to worry about Emma waking up and us being called home.

Too many sick babies I think :( we're still having a rough time. I just can't wait for her to be rid of these viruses. Over it! What's everyone up to this weekend? x

There certainly is Jen. Hopefully S hasn't had any more seizures?

I've got a friend who's 8 week old has suspected meningitis at the moment too. He was 6 weeks prem too, so he's still teeny. And that's on top of having that apnoea thing where he keeps stopping breathing.

Poor babies :-(

Quiet weekend in our house. My af has arrived with a vengeance, so I'm just whinging from the sofa :-)

We've been very busy. Took apart her crib and stashed it in the loft with a bunch of other bits. (Our room looks huge without it!) Plus we've been shopping and got most of our relatives' Christmas presents :-)

On a different note, Isabelle got my finger in her mouth earlier and bit down so hard she drew blood!

weekend at home for us.

Thomas seems to be abit poorly and i have a mild stomach bug too so it's been abit rubbish today as he's been very grizzly.

To top it off he woke up and 5am and wouldn't go back to sleep in his cot, so i brought him into our bed (by which point hubby had gone into the spare room) and then this morning at about 9am thomas rolled off the bed onto the floor. Not sure if he was awake or asleep when he did it as I was dozing with him, but i feel so incredibly guilty that this is the second time he's done something like this with me next to him. He was ok, no bumps or bruises think it was just the shock as he mostly landed on some cushions but it was awful :(

I'm actually thinking i can't co-sleep with him anymore now

God what a fright pumpkin! Wee monkey. Do you stack pillows next to him? (Although I'm a bit wary of this incase she puts her face in it. We've co slept a lot over the past week, I never really manage to sleep properly.

No more seizures toria so that's great. I feel so much better that the doc gave us midazolam to help stop any future ones At the time. Fingers crossed we won't need it tho. She has an appt with the neurologist on 5th December so should know more after that. Your poor friend :-( I can't even imagine what she's going through. Hope hubby is looking after you ;-)

Is that bubs in her own room maud? Makes such a difference!

My cousin from near you is up toria, and I feel terrible cos S is still contagious so I haven't seen her but leaving S with hubby so we can catch up tomorrow - can't wait :-)

Kathryn, what about getting one of those side guards? They are for when they move to a bed from their cot. But you could get one now and get more use out of it. Won't stop him crawling to the bottom and dropping off though.

Jen, no he's not looking after me. He was out thurs and fri night, which he can't cope with cause he's old. So he's been feeling sorry for himself. He didn't get up one to Emma last night.
