How are all you new mummies doing?

I had my own nightie I was going to wear. Didn't like the idea of the open backed gown with my whole arse on show! Didn't stop me leaning onto the bed with my bum facing the door as a lovely welcoming into my labour room for all the nurses haha

Lol! They do say you don't give a crap about your dignity!

I certainly didn't. Had about 12 people staring at my lower end when they pushed the emergency button a couple of times. All I could think was 'just get him out so this can be over' I was not bothered about covering up

I was naked. Once my contractions got close together I couldn't stand wearing anything. Not sure what I'd have done if I had been in hospital. Saying that, there was no shortage of medical people popping into my room to say hi (and getting a right eyeful!) so maybe I'd have had more privacy in hospital!

I had a lot of people in because I specifically said I didn't mind students so I had about three at one point lol

Emma's baptism pencilled in for 30 Nov. Godparents asked and accepted. Now to get organising. Scary! Can't get the invite list under 75 people. Why do I know so many people with lots of kids!

I had lots of students when I had Jack. Think cause I had so much going wrong they all wanted a look. And they all came down to theatre for the ventouse and forcepts bit too. I clearly remember one boy with his iPhone out, not sure if he was taking notes, txting or taking photos!

73 adults and 12 kids at oscars lol!!

I'm at home - Oscar spent the morning hysterically screaming and hubby rang me nearly in tears because he couldn't settle Oscar - not sure why but he was so histerical

Low and behold I rally across town and get home - he's asleep :/

Had the dentist this morning and some root canal work! Temp filling while my porcelain one gets ordered ?? God knows but my old dentist has compelled bodged my tooth

Poor oscar, I'm So glad Luke hasn't been unwell yet and I'm hoping he won't be too bad the first time he does get a bug.

Me and Luke have been having out on the floor today playing with his toys... Getting quality time in before I start work next week.

At one point I had 3 midwives a senior midwife and 2 consultants

Was even more when they couldn't get the cannulas in my hands ( had all those problems with veins collapsing if you remember )

At one point I was squatting through contractions - they had to put a pad on floor because I pooh'd phahaha

My veins are Impossible! Whenever they took blood I told hem they'd need a butterfly because they can't get blood without one but they always spent 10 minutes trying first before they gave in.

I lost Luke today lol- went to GETVTHE post from the hallway and when I got back he was gone! He was underneath the table lol

Aw god all these labour stories are making me want to do it again! At the time it was horrific but it's very much Rose tinted now.

I guess it's not too bad as I'm only doing 8-2
I'm working Monday 8-2, Tuesday 8-2, Wednesday 10-2, Thursday 9-1 and Sunday 8-2 next week then mon and we'd 8-2, thur 9-1 and Sunday 8-4

I'm doing another kit day tomorrow. It's a military mission to sort it all out so thomas is looked after etc.. Sure it will be much better once we're in a routine. My parents are looking after him this time so spent half the day putting up the travel cot at their house and explaining car seat etc..

Yea you get paid! But they Arnt compulsary

My director wanted me to do them but manager wasn't fussed so I didn't in the end - oh well!

I didn't think you could get paid extra when you were on smp. I thought what you earned got deducted?

Nobody could make me go Into work when I didn't have to lol

You're entitled to 10kit days throughout your mat leave. It should be in your policy
