How are all you new mummies doing?

Oh no Kathryn. Your poor dad. Like the others have said. Not your fault. So much going around. He could have got it anywhere.

What a difference unbroken sleep makes! Happy mummy, happy baby and she's napping again. Managed to clean the kitchen and cook too. Could get used to this :-)

So glad the babies had good sleep! And the mummies of course.

Dads being discharged today so all good.

Thomas' room reached a new low of 16 today. Investigating options now of how to make it warmer!

We got some thermal curtains and they seem to help the temp.

Our new monitor says it was 21 last night and was showing as "too warm" but it didn't feel like 21 in there at all! More like 19

We are making serious progress towards crawling. She's been scooting backwards for a while already (keep finding her wedged under furniture when i go out of the room) but now she's getting up on all fours for increasingly longer at a time and there's been some rocking to and fro! Really should make a start at the baby-proofing!

I found Luke doing the downward dog thismorning lol I think he's giving up on crawling in favour of trying to stand instead lol

Yeah your getting charged cos your choosing white fillings on back teeth which aren't covered on the nhs. I have silver ones on the lower back teeth which you can only see when I laugh, personal choice tho x

It's amazing how quick our babies have gone from doing nothing, to all this moving about. I found Emma this morning standing in her cot crying. She'd pulled herself up in the corner, but couldn't figure out how to get back down.

One of the mums at school had her baby yesterday, got out of hospital today and was at pickup this afternoon with her 2 yr old and new baby in the rain. I asked why she wasn't at home resting and her oh picking up their son. She said he was at home sleeping cause he had to look after the older two while she was in hospital! I was speechless!

That's insane! She's just had a baby and HE's sleeping?! Sod that

Ahhh. All my previous fillings have been white, so I think I would rather stick to white ones. Didn't realise they were that expensive though :wall2: Oh well! Thanks

That's ridiculous, he's napping! God help us if it were men that went through pregnancy and childbirth haha

She needs to put her foot down before it's too late. Couldn't believe it.

That's unbelievable.... He was watching them while she was in hospital so needs a rest!! Chris wouldn't even dare ;-)

Go Emma tho!! S is doing the backwards bum shuffle too so gets her legs stuck everywhere, still not interested in sitting up tho, it's funny how they are all so different.

Hayley still doesn't even attempt to crawl whatsoever! If she ends up on her tummy she just screams and screams. She's great at standing up and walking though, so think she'll just not bother with attempting it

Third child...sounds like it's already too late!

Hahaha, very true. Poor woman. Although she's the same woman who left her older child ( he must have been 18 months at the time) asleep in the car while she ran in to collect her older child from school. This was on a side street about 5 mins from school where we all park. Windows were down too. When I noticed, I stood by the car till she got back. She just got in the car and drove off. Don't think she's got much of a clue.

That's shocking! Can't believe people do stuff like this!

Luke is like that - well apart from him loving being in his tummy- he seems to want to walk... He walks across the room to his highchair now wih us holding his hands, he's actually starting to dislike being carried all the time lol

Jojo, what happened to your old baby monitor? You had the same Tomy one as us didn't you? We just put the little one to bed and the parent unit wouldn't switch on. Fortunately we've got it working again by taking the battery out for a few minutes, but I'm a bit worried it might fail again...

It just died!! Was fine and hen in the middle of the night jut switched itself off, we tok battery our then back in and powered for a while but then failed. Sorry to say it sounds similar to ours

Eek. Did you try taking it back to the shop? Not sure whether we've still got the receipt but I don't think 7 months is an acceptable lifespan for a monitor! (Especially as we only started using the parent unit when she was 4 months old!!)
