How are all you new mummies doing?

Yeah boots has got a small fortune out of me too!!

I'm feeling back to normal, thomas woke at 5am with a massive stinky nappy but it didn't leak so that was good. E then woke at 6.30 and had 8 oz of milk. Food routine is way off though!

Hubby still feels awful and is in bed. Worst part is it's his holiday but also the tv is linked upstairs and down so I have to watch the same rubbish as humans when he pauses it Im sitting in silence downstairs!

Aw poor macie, I guess we better get used to poorly babies in the winter :-( another sleepless night for us here, I can't believe this is just happening before I go back to work. Room went down to 18 and she was in a long sleeve vest, suit and 2.5 bag. Do you think they will be ok with a blanket over them? I'm worried about it over her face but her hands were freezing! x x

Stanley only uses blankets and he's fine with them doesn't pull them over his face or anything :) x

Oscar loves sleeping with his cellular over his face! It had holes so i don't get worried

I have never found Oscar to have other blankets over his face- just his comfy blanky :)

Think it depends on the baby... Trued blankets for naps and he ended with them over hus face every time lol

We're just using blankets at the moment because she's too small for the next size sleeping bags. Sometimes she kicks them off while rolling around, but we tuck them into the edges of the crib so she doesn't pull them up over her face.

She's having her nap now so I've given her one to see what happens. I can keep checking at least x

It is so cold today! We don't usually turn heating on until December but we're going to put it on tonight for the little one. She's currently playing on the floor with a pair of big woolly socks over her normal socks and a long-sleeved vest, long sleeved top and thick dungarees and seems ok but if I'm feeling the chill she must be too. Dread what it's going to do to our heating bill as we usually only have it on bare minimum temperature for a couple of hours in the evening but will need it on hotter and for longer now we've got a baby to take into consideration.

We've just shut all the airflow vents above our windows. Thomas' room is at the top of the house so gets very hot in summer but cold in winter (no such thing as heat rising in winter clearly!) so I'm thinking about getting a 3.5tog bag for when the weather gets colder. Might just put a big cellular over his 2.5tog bag.

Hubby's still feeling crap. His blood sugar level is really high :(

I seen these today and wondered if it was worth it. x

Would you put that on without a sleepsuit? You think I would have figured this all out after 3 kids huh!lol. Although only used blankets with my older two

How cold is it in your house?! Luke is just in a long vest and Tshirt and combats - he had socks on but he always takes them off.

Apparently it is 18 degrees, but it's only October.

I've been looking at long sleeved sleeping bags too Jen. Not sure if we need a 3.5 tog though.

It probably is normal, but we usually put the heating on in december at 16 degrees, so if I'm putting it on in October when it's 18 degrees it doesn't bode well for our heating bill!

16!!! Ouch! That's far to cold! That's hat and jumper weather lol! You def need to keep the house warmer than 16 I think?

I'm not sure toria, maybe just a long sleeve vest or a sleepsuit on it's own. I just like that it has sleeves x

My house has been 16/17 at night and now today, heating is on! Roll on no money! Lol x

Yeah, I know. It wasn't so bad when it was only us and we were out all day. We used to just wrap up in jumpers and blankets in the evenings. Need to get used to keeping the house warm all day. Have put it on at 18 which will hopefully be enough. What temperature do other people keep their houses?

Well our thermostat comes on if it drops below 17 during the day- then when we get home depending on weather we will pop it up a few degrees to around 19-20

ATM it's on 20 :)

Had oscars nursery invoice today! That quickly turned my day upside down :(

I keep my thermostat at 21. Our hearing has been on for about a month. I hate being cold.

Just got my baby centre update. Something interesting I didn't know..... Since the rules changed to put baby to sleep on their backs back in 1994, babies now crawl later. Between 7-10 months, and most babies don't crawl with confidence till around 9 months. Also says there's no need for concern even if your baby isn't crawling by 10 months. As long as they are making an attempt to move. Even if it's rolling, shuffling, creeping (who knows what that is :-/)
